EASTLAND - Paul Carl Holland, 86, of Eastland, a retired drilling supervisor for Rowan Drilling Co., died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002, at Eastland Memorial Hospital in Eastland.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Bakker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Young and Bobby Knight officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa. Arrangements by Bakker Funeral Home.
He was born in Wetumpka, Okla., and moved to Eastland in 1995 from Odessa.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Paula Faulk of Eastland; brother, Rufus Charles Holland of Iraan; sisters, Mary Grace Parker of Houston and Ruth Holleman of Hamilton; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Tony McCrohan Sr.
BANGS - Tony McCrohan Sr., 62, of Bangs, a retired truck driver and oilfield driller, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2002, at a local nursing home.
Graveside services were at 1 p.m. Sunday at Clear Creek cemetery with the Rev. Tony McCrohan Jr. officiating. Memorial services were at 3 p.m. Sunday at Sidney Baptist Church in Sidney. Arrangements by Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
He was born in San Angelo. He was an Air Force veteran. He was Baptist.

Lois Norris
MARSHALL, Okla. - Lois Gene Morris, 76, of Goldthwaite, a retired dentist’s assistant, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002, at Hillview Manor in Goldthwaite.
Services will be Saturday at North Marshall cemetery. Arrangements by Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home.
She was born in Marshall, Okla., and had been a resident of Odessa before moving to Goldthwaite in 1996. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Cheryl English of Gustine; sons, Terry Norris of Little Rock, Ark., and Darrell Norris of Goldthwaite; and five grandchildren.
Pilar Valenzuela
ODESSA - Pilar Valenzuela, 69, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Primera Iglesia Apostolica De La Fe En Cristo Jesus with Santiago Rojo officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
She was born in Ojinaga, Mexico, and was a lifelong resident of Odessa. She was Christian.

Clarence Williams
MONAHANS - Clarence Williams, 88, of Monahans, former owner of B. Williams and Sons Inc., died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002, at Ward Memorial Hospital in Monahans.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with Jeff Box officiating. Burial will be at Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.
He was born in Plainview, Ark., and was a resident of Monahans since 1947. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was Baptist.

Dewey William Cox
ODESSA - Dewey William Cox, 72, of Odessa passed away Thursday, Jan. 10, 2002, at Hospice House. He was born Oct. 7, 1929, in Lamesa. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He moved to Odessa in 1958 from Kermit. He worked as a maintenance man for Rexene.
Mr. Cox was preceded in death by parents, Burl and Nellie Cox, and sister, Opal Douglas.
He is survived by his companion, Billie Waters of Odessa; son, Michael Cox and wife Marcia of Goldsmith; daughter, Sharron Chandler of Odessa; four grandchildren, Tia Roberts of Dallas, Shane Chandler of San Angelo, Michael Cox of Odessa and Matthew Cox of Goldsmith; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. today, Jan. 11, 2002, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Terry Wright officiating.

Don McBee
ODESSA - Don McBee, 69, of Odessa passed away Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital. He was born Sept. 10, 1932, in Eastland to Earl L. and Angie McBee.
Don served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1955. He graduated from North Texas State University in 1959 with a bachelor of arts degree in marketing. He was a supervisor for Meridian Oil Co. Don was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Medical Center Hospital Auxiliary, Odessa Country Club, lifetime member of the American Legion and former chairman of the board of the Odessa Complex Community Federal Credit Union.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2002, at Asbury United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dave Dinneen officiating. Interment will follow at the Kermit cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Harold “Dink” McBee.
Don is survived by his loving wife, LaNelle McBee of Odessa; two sons, Donnie McBee and wife Teresa of Lubbock and Rod McBee and wife Laura of Austin; number one grandson, Declan McBee of Austin; a brother, Cotton McBee of Midland; a brother-in-law, Buddy Gray and wife Susie of Wink; and a host of friends and loved ones.
Rodolfo Olivas
ODESSA - Rodolfo Natividad “Rudy” Olivas, age 46, of Odessa died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital. Mr. Olivas was born Nov. 7, 1955, in Pecos. He had been a truck driver with Anderson Base Co. in Odessa and Lone Star Machine in Denver City. He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. He was always smiling and willing to help anybody. He will be sorely missed by many friends and family. He was known as the best barbecue cook around.
Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today in the chapel of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2002, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Father Pablo Tiong officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill cemetery.
He is survived by a daughter, Amy Allen of Odessa; three brothers, Ishmael Barrera and wife Melissa of Odessa, Alfonso Barrera and wife Olga of Odessa and Alfredo Barrera and wife Marla of Odessa; a sister, Yolanda Hinojos and husband Ernesto of Odessa; mother, Ruptera and stepfather Albert Barrera of Odessa; grandmother, Eulalia H. Natividad of Odessa; aunts, Juana Guzman of Odessa, Rachael Nichols of Odessa, Gloria Natividad of Odessa, Ramona Granado of Pecos and Antonia Gonzalez of Odessa; and uncles, Robert, Zack and Salvador Natividad, all of Odessa, and Severo Natividad of Tucson, Ariz.

Richard Dee Talley
ODESSA - Richard Dee Talley, 47, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2002, in Fayetteville, N.C.
He was born June 17, 1954, in Chandler, Okla. He was a baptized believer of the Baptist Church. He attended Burnet Elementary, Hood Junior High and graduated from Permian High School and Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
He retired as a captain from the United States Army Ordnance Division after 22 years of military service. He proudly served his country in Turkey during Desert Storm and also in Korea and Germany. His last tour of duty was Fort Carson in Colorado Springs, Colo.
He was currently employed by ITT of Fayetteville, N.C., at Fort Bragg, where he had the opportunity to work with many of his former Army colleagues and make many new friends.
He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and uncle. He was a very generous and caring friend and relative. He enjoyed woodworking, golf and entertaining family and friends. He leaves behind many special memories for everyone who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Guy and Clara Middleton of Odessa; his paternal grandparents, Noble and Winnie Talley of Allendale, Ill.; and his niece, Whitney Kay Talley of Houston.
He is survived by Debra Talley and three daughters, Michelle, Adriane and Alexandria Talley of Colorado Springs, Colo.; his parents, Edythe and Rex Talley of Odessa; brothers, Ed Talley and wife Kay of Houston and Duane Talley and wife Susan of Odessa; sister, Cheryl Hugh and husband “Sam” of Odessa; and four nephews, two nieces and one great-niece.
Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2002, at Sunset Memorial Chapel with Dr. Ernest Easley officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to extend special thanks for the many kind expression of love and sympathy.

Charlie Jetton
KERRVILLE - Charlie Jetton, 75, was born in Centerpoint.
He was preceded in death by his father, Norman; mother, Jamesine; and son, Jeff.
He is survived by his wife, Linda of the home; a daughter, Lisa and husband Mike Skidmore of Austin; two stepsons; a stepdaughter; and two step grandchildren, Amanda and Sarah Skidmore of Austin.
Mr. Jetton graduated from the University of Texas in 1949. He was varsity football coach in Kermit from 1961 to 1969.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2002, in Kerrville.
