Oleta Downing
ODESSA - Oleta Downing, 79, of Odessa passed away Monday, Feb. 4, 2002, in Odessa. She was born Feb. 22, 1922, in Henrietta to the Rev. George and Gracie Stone.
She married
Ed Downing on Feb. 2, 1945, in Houston. They moved to Odessa in 1950 from Alvin. She was a very active member of Bible study fellowship classes and worked for the Texas Highway Department for 25 years. She retired in 1982.
Five brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Ed Downing of Odessa, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2002, at Asbury United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dave Dinneen officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Services are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
Margarita Baeza
ODESSA - Margarita Baeza, 73, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2002, in Odessa.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today at Rose Hill cemetery with Don Goforth officiating. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
She was born in Del Rio and was a lifelong resident of Odessa. She was Christian.
SURVIVORS: Son, Efrain Baeza of Odessa; daughters, Rosinda Baeza and Adela Gutierrez, both of Odessa; brothers, Martin Enriquez of San Antonio and Juan Enriquez of Del Rio; sister, Beatrice Rodriguez of Del Rio; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

ODESSA - Myrtle Lee Clark, 82, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Darren Willis officiating. Burial will be at Ector County cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
She was born in Prattsville, Ark.

WHITEHOUSE - Clifton Franklin, 78, of Whitehouse, a retired oilfield pumper, died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2002, in Tyler.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Harold Davis officiating. Burial will be at Lakeside cemetery in Stamps, Ark. Arrangements by Heritage Funeral Home.
He was born in Stamps and had been a resident of Odessa. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was Baptist.

ODESSA - Angeline 'Cookie' Guyton, 44, of Odessa, a custodian for the Ector County Independent School District, died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002, at her residence.

He was born in El Carrizo, Mexico, and moved to Pyote in 1976 from Pecos. He was Catholic.
