Sally E. Martin
ODESSA - Sally E. Martin, 88, of Odessa passed away Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2001, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. She was born March 8, 1913, in Smith County.
She came to Odessa in 1960 from Kermit. She loved gardening and baking. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Her parents, a sister, a brother, a grandson, a son-in-law and her husband preceded her in death.
She is survived by a son, Buddie Martin and wife Helen of Odessa; daughter, Ann Hanes of Center Ridge, Ark.; sister, Marie Mealor of Eastland; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, 2001, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. John Van Hoose officiating.
Ms. Martin’s family requests memorials to be directed to Odessa Christian School.
Services are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

DALLAS - Christino Alvarado, 81, of Carrollton, a business owner, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2001, at RHD Hospital in Farmers Branch.
Services were at 3:30 p.m. Dec. 28, 2001, at Restland Wildwood Chapel with the Rev. Danilo Ramos officiating. Burial followed at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas. Arrangements by Metrocrest Funeral Home.
He was born in Midland. He was a longtime resident of Odessa.

ENOCHS - Bonnie Jo Blackstone, 76, of Enochs, a retired office manager, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002, in Odessa.
Services were at 2 p.m. Friday at the Muleshoe Church of Christ with Joey Pierce officiating. Burial followed at Enochs cemetery in Enochs. Arrangments by Ellis Funeral Home.
She was born in Hot Springs, N.M..

She was born in Paint Rock and was a resident of McCamey since 1936. She was Methodist.

She was born in Albany and had been a resident of Pecos. She was Baptist.
