Sally E. Martin
ODESSA - Sally E. Martin, 88, of Odessa passed away Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2001, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. She was born March 8, 1913, in Smith County.
She came to Odessa in 1960 from Kermit. She loved gardening and baking. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Her parents, a sister, a brother, a grandson, a son-in-law and her husband preceded her in death.
She is survived by a son, Buddie Martin and wife Helen of Odessa; daughter, Ann Hanes of Center Ridge, Ark.; sister, Marie Mealor of Eastland; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, 2001, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. John Van Hoose officiating.
Ms. Martin’s family requests memorials to be directed to Odessa Christian School.
Services are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Christino Alvarado
DALLAS - Christino Alvarado, 81, of Carrollton, a business owner, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2001, at RHD Hospital in Farmers Branch.
Services were at 3:30 p.m. Dec. 28, 2001, at Restland Wildwood Chapel with the Rev. Danilo Ramos officiating. Burial followed at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas. Arrangements by Metrocrest Funeral Home.
He was born in Midland. He was a longtime resident of Odessa.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Anthony Alvarado of Houston and Steven Alvarado of Jacksonville, Fla.; daughters: Deniese Newman of Akron, Ohio, Mary Alvarado of Jamul, Calif. and Caroline Kelly of Dallas; brother, Jesse Alvarado of Odessa, sisters, Olivia Alvarado Torres of Mexico City, Mexico, Erlinda Alvarado of Dallas and Lupe Alvarado of Midland; eight grandchilren; and six great-grandchildren.

Bonnie Blackstone
ENOCHS - Bonnie Jo Blackstone, 76, of Enochs, a retired office manager, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002, in Odessa.
Services were at 2 p.m. Friday at the Muleshoe Church of Christ with Joey Pierce officiating. Burial followed at Enochs cemetery in Enochs. Arrangments by Ellis Funeral Home.
She was born in Hot Springs, N.M..
SURVIVORS: Husband, Harvey Blackstone of Enochs; sons, Dale Blackstone of Tyler, Bobby Blackstone of Arlington and Thomas Blackstone of Odessa; daughters, Katie McDonald of Pampa, Ann Johnson of Arlington, Nancy Peace of Friona and Shanna Blackstone of Arlington; brothers, Tommy Brown of Lynnwood, Calif. and Ira Brown and Herman Brown, both of Morton, and Leonard Brown of Vallejo, Calif., sisters, Opal Hair of Duncanville, Minnie MacFulton of Portales, N.M. Berta Abbe of Levelland, Hallie Bennett of Lake Whitney and Nell Coats of Midland; 19 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Eufracia Canalez
MIDLAND - Eufracia Canalez, 81, of Midland, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2002, at a Midland hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Midland with the Rev. Jerome Burnet officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview cemetery. Arrangements by Stanton Memorial Funeral Home.
She was born in Runge. She was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Brother, Albert Casarez of Midland.

Anita Mendez
MONAHANS - Anita Mendez, 47, of Monahans, died Friday, Jan. 4, 2001, at Ward Memorial Hospital.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at the Harkey Funeral Chapel with the Rev. John Lucido officiating. Burial will follow at Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.
She was a lifetime resident of Monahans.
SURVIVORS: Mother, Alcaria Mendez of Monahans; brothers, Oscar Mendez of Monahans, Al Mendez of Midland, Norberto Mendez of Round Rock and Rudy Mendez of San Antonio; and sisters, Ester Mendez and Rosa Oyerbides of Monahans, Faye Sotelo of Dallas and Lucy Oritz of Odessa.

Jack Mosley
ANDREWS - Jack Mosley, 69, of Andrews, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2002, at Midland Memorial Hospital.
Services are pending with McNett Funeral Home.

James Davidow
ODESSA - James E. Davidow, 58, of Odessa died Friday, Dec. 14, 2001, at his residence.
Graveside services will be at 9 a.m. today at Odessa cemetery. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Iola Hicks
McCAMEY - Iola Munro Hicks, 85, of McCamey, a retired beautician, died Monday, Dec. 17, 2001, at the McCamey Convalescent Center.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Resthaven cemetery with the Rev. Jodie Windbigler officiating. Arrangements by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
She was born in Paint Rock and was a resident of McCamey since 1936. She was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Stepson, Bill Hicks of Hobbs, N.M.; stepdaughter, Dolly Lynch of McCamey; sisters, Jessie Sanford and Dardanella Franco, both of San Angelo, and Aleen McDaniel of Junction; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Luis Madrid
KERMIT - Luis Gomez Madrid, 63, of Jal, N.M., a roustabout, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at La Hermosa Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Naomi Donato officiating. Burial will be at the Kermit cemetery. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel.
He was born in Presidio and was a resident of Jal for 40 years.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Elva F. Madrid of Odessa; daughter, Bernicia Dominguez of Midland; sons, Luis Madrid Jr. and Gene Madrid, both of Odessa; mother, Santos Madrid of Jal; sisters, Lidia Hernandez of Kermit, Beatrice Gonzalez of Crane and Licha Bass of McCamey; and six grandchildren.

Adan Ramirez
MARFA - Adan Ramirez, 56, of Marfa, a security guard for the U.S. government, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001, at an El Paso hospital.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will be at Merced cemetery. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home.
He was born in Marfa.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Mary Lou Ramirez of Marfa; son, Michael Ramirez of Marfa; mother, Dolores Uranga of Marfa; brother, Ambrioso Ramirez of Marfa; and two granddaughters.

Alline Webb
ODESSA - Alline F. Webb, 84, of Odessa, a retired employee of Southwestern Bell Telephone Co., died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001, at Hospice House.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Sixth and Jackson Church of Christ with Roy Smalling officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Ranger and moved to Odessa in 1932. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
SURVIVOR: Sister, Billie June Webb of Odessa.

Frances Wood
PECOS - Frances A. Caywood Wood, 83, of Garland, a retired attendance clerk for the Pecos-Barstow-Toyah Independent School District, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001, in Garland.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at West Park Baptist Church with the Revs. Rey Carreon, J.E. McCormick and James Sain officiating. Burial will be at Fairview cemetery. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.
She was born in Albany and had been a resident of Pecos. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Two sons, a daughter, nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Noble Lee
ODESSA - Noble Lee, 78, of Odessa, a postal carrier, died Friday, March 22, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
He was born in Cooper. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and Air Force. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Sybil Lee; sons, Gary Lee of Terrell, Robert E. Lee of Dennison and Terry A. Lee of Florida; daughter, Suzan B. Perry of New York City, N.Y.; sister, Maizie Southard of Bonham; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
