Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Edward Catholic Church with the Rev. Noel Kramer officiating. Rosary was said at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be at Carlsbad cemetery. Arrangements by West Funeral Home Chapel.
She was born in Hamilton County, Neb. She was Catholic.

CLIFTON, N.J. — Rose Siems, 100, of West Milford, N.J., a homemaker, died Friday, March 8, 2002, at Chilton Memorial Hospital in Pequannock Township.

Mike Keating
ODESSA — Mike Keating was born Nov. 25, 1959, in Clovis, N.M. Mike lived in several different locations in the U.S. during his youth, the typical life for a son in a military family. He moved to Odessa in his senior year and graduated from Permian High School in 1978. Mike then attended Texas Tech University where he received his bachelor of science in chemical engineering in 1982. Mike worked for El Paso Natural Gas Co. in Jal, N.M., and Midland before joining El Paso Products (now Huntsman) in 1987 as a project engineer in the Olefins Plant.
Mike married
Sherrie Riley on Jan. 8, 2000. Mike and Sherrie enjoyed several wonderful trips in the States and overseas in their short time together. Mike loved flying, hunting, woodworking and golf. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to everyone. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and co-workers.
Mike is survived by his beloved wife, Sherrie of Odessa; stepchildren, Chad, Reagan and Jennifer Riley; parents, Bob and Carolyn Keating of Odessa; brother, Tim and his wife Sharon; nephews, Justin and Derek Keating of San Antonio; grandparents, Jack and Jeanette Wagner of Navato, Calif.; mother-in-law, Ruby Martin of Lamesa; sister-in-law, Glenda Stanfield and husband Eddy of Granbury; brother-in-law, Ken Martin and wife Libby of Abilene; sister-in-law, Susan Martin of Lamesa; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Edythe V. Kirk
LUBBOCK — Services for Edythe V. Kirk, 76, of Lubbock were at 9 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2002, at Broadway Church of Christ with the Rev. Mike McAlister officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Greens Hills Memorial Gardens in Richlands, Va.
She died Wednesday, April 17, 2002, in Lubbock. She was born Nov. 16, 1925, in Jewel Ridge, Va., to the late Carl Joseph Stanley and Fay Burke Stanley. She married
Dr. Earl H. Kirk on July 28, 1948, in Roanoke, Va.
She graduated high school in Tazewell, Va., in May 1943. She received her nursing training and her registered nurse degree from Providence Hospital in Washington, D.C. After graduating from nursing school, she worked briefly at Richland Hospital in Richland, Va. Later she moved to Bryan-College Station and lived there for six years. She then moved to Odessa for 35 years where she assisted her husband in his practice. Upon his retirement in 1984, they moved to Greenville until moving to Lubbock in January 2000.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. Earl Kirk of Lubbock; four sons, Ed Pitcher of Rowlett, Charles Kirk of Dallas, Richard Kirk of San Antonio and Dr. Jim Kirk of Lubbock; two daughters, Charmayne McAlister of Friendswood and Debra Kirk of Houston; a sister, Marsha Stanley of Oakton, Va.; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Her brother, Kenneth C. Stanley, and her parents preceded her in death.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Lubbock Meals on Wheels and Lubbock Children’s Home.
A.L. Pugh Jr
ODESSA — A.L. Pugh Jr. was born Aug. 24, 1927, in Mexia. He died Thursday, April 18, 2002, in Dallas. He was the son of the late Pansy and Amel Leon Pugh.
A.L. lived a good and faith-filled life. He was raised in Wink where he graduated from Wink High School. He proudly served his country and is a veteran of World War II. A.L. attended and graduated from Rice University. He spent many years in Hobbs, N.M., and worked in the oil industry. He moved his family to Odessa in 1976 where he retired from Amoco after a long and fulfilling career. He attended Temple Baptist Church and was active with his Scripture Study Group.
A.L. was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Wilfred Pugh.
He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Randall and Ann Pugh of Keller, Ralph and Lily Pugh of Austin and Leon and Amy Pugh of Dallas; daughter and son-in-law, Lorna Reed and husband Al of Lubbock; brother, O.D. Pugh and wife Anne of Houston; sister, Edith of Paris, Texas; grandchildren, James Pugh, Nicholas Pugh, Christopher Pugh, Holly Reyes, Page Nichols, Nash Crawley, Alex Pugh, MaryClare Pugh and Shannon Pugh; step grandchildren, Gretchen and Corey Vincil; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services and visitation will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2002, at Temple Baptist Church, 10th and Texas, in Odessa with the Rev. Jack Watkins officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2002, at the Kermit cemetery. Services are under the direction of Cooper Funeral Chapel Inc. in Kermit.

James Hugh Meador
ODESSA — James H. “Jimmy” Meador, 63, of Odessa, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2001. He was born January 21, 1938, in Mineral Wells, Texas, to James Roy and Magdalene Meador.
Graveside services are scheduled for 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 4, 2001, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Father Jim Bridges officiating.
Jim married
Susie Friel on April 11, 1970, in Derry, Ireland. Jim spent 21 years in the Navy, including three tours in Vietnam. After retiring from the Navy, Jim and Susie moved back to West Texas and resided in Odessa.
“What he suffered he told but few, he did not deserve what he went through, Tired and weary he made no fuss, but tried so hard to stay with us. As we look upon his picture, sweet memories we recall, of a face so full of sunshine, and a smile for one and all. So rest in peace, dear loved one, and thanks for all you have done. We pray that God has given you, the crown you have truly won.”
Survivors include his wife, Susie Meador of Odessa; sons, Mark Meador of Three Rivers and Rob Meador of Odessa; daughter, Kelli Meador of Hayward, CA; daughter-in-law, Donna Meador of Odessa, three grandsons, Chris, Brian, and Kevin Meador of Odessa; two granddaughters, Kelli and Krista of Lake Geneva, WI.
