ODESSA — Joe G. Urias, 76, of Odessa, a retired restaurant owner, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with the Rev. James Bridges officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Sunday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Fort Stockton and moved to Odessa in 1955 from Fort Stockton. He was a Navy veteran. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Paula Urias of Odessa; son, Danny P. Urias of Odessa; three grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

Daniel Valenzuela Jr.
FORT STOCKTON — Daniel G. Valenzuela Jr., 58, of Fort Stockton, a construction foreman, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2002, in Midland.
Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Francis Frey officiating. Burial will be at Fort Stockton Catholic cemetery. Arrangements by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.
He was born in Fort Stockton and was a lifelong resident. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Olga S. Valenzuela of Fort Stockton; son, James Valenzuela of Fort Stockton; mother, Alicia G. Valenzuela of Fort Stockton; sisters, Ramona Saavedra of Leander and Ribia Gonzales of Fort Stockton; brother, Johnny Valenzuela of Lakeway; and a granddaughter.

Ellen Wolfe
ODESSA — Ellen Marie Wolfe, an infant, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Sherry Holloman officiating. Arrangements by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
SURVIVORS: Parents, Lance and Tamara Wolfe of Midland; grandparents, Billy and Susie Wolfe of Lubbock and Milton and Mary Thompson of Odessa; and great-grandparents, Richard and Mabel Shires of Florida, Erma Crow of Lubbock, Joe and Pat Bynum of Stephenville and Betty Thompson of Odessa.

ODESSA — Eddie Hutchings, 80, of Odessa died Friday, Jan. 25, 2002, at Hospice House.

ODESSA — Gladys Stephens Birt, 82, of Odessa, LVN for Medical Center Hospital, died Saturday, May 25, 2002, in a local nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Fort Towson, Okla., and lived in Odessa for 46 years. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Robert L. Birt of Odessa; daughters, Shirley Elizondo of Midland and Billie Jeanine Kam of Albany, Calif.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Justo Gonzalez
PRESIDIO — Justo Gonzalez, 60, of Presidio, medical field employee, died Saturday, May 25, 2002, at Odessa Hospice House.
Mass will be celebrated at noon Tuesday at Santa Teresa Catholic Church in Presidio with the Rev. Lazaro Gonzalez officiating. Rosary will be said at 7:30 Monday at Santa Teresa Catholic Church. Burial will be at Desert Hills cemetery in Presidio. Arrangements by Reyes-Gracia Funeral Home.
He was born in Indio Ranch. He was a Marines veteran of the Vietnam War. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Mother, Eva G. Gonzalez of Presidio; sisters, Anna Marie Gonzalez of Odessa, Celina B. Baxter and Maria Teresa Gonzalez of Midland, Jesus Elena Munoz of Odessa, Socorro Espinoza of Laredo; brothers, Dolores Gonzalez of Carlsbad, N.M., and Joe L. Gonzalez and Francisco “Frank” Gonzalez, both of Midland.

Gary Klecker
ODESSA — Gary Michael Klecker, 56, died May 17, 2002 in Prescott, Ariz.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Francis Frey officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home.
He was born in Plum City, Wis. He was an Air Force veteran. He was a Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Son, David Klecker, of Shreveport, La.; daughter, Kristina Klecker Rogy of New Hope, Penn.; brothers, Brion Thomas Klecker of Naples, Fla., and Guy Patrick Klecker, of Odessa; sisters, Jeanene Klecker of Minneapolis, Md., and Elegra Klecker, of Henderson, Nev.; stepbrother, Rick Weiss of Eau Claire, Wis.; stepsister, Linda Rask of Spring Grove, Minn.; and one grandchild.

Jesus Lopez
ANDREWS — Jesus Gandaria Lopez, 83, of Andrews, retired employee of the Texas Department of Transportation, died Saturday, May 25, 2002, at Permian General Hospital in Andrews.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with the Rev. Bernard Gully officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Tuesday at McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Andrews West cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.
He was born in Sanderson and lived in Andrews for 41 years. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Berta Lopez of Andrews and Maria Elena Thrasher of Tyler; sons, Juan De Dios Lopez, Jesus R. Lopez and Oscar F. Lopez, all of Andrews, Arturo F. Lopez of Lubbock and George L. Lopez of Big Spring; sister, Agapita L. Chalambaga of Odessa; brother, Epifanio G. Lopez of Andrews; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Billy Taylor
DEANVILLE — Billy Joe Taylor, 76, of Deanville, retired owner of Falcon Tubing Services in Deanville, died Sunday, May 26, 2002, at his residence.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Deanville Lutheran Church with the Rev. Don Laird officiating. Burial will be at the Deanville Lutheran Church cemetery.
He was born in Sintinel, Okla. He was a WWII veteran.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Patty Taylor of Deanville; daughters, Patsy Allen of Odessa and Susan Maass of Somerville; son, Billy C. Taylor of Breham; sisters, Fern Mason of Tuttle, Okla., and Shirley Bean of Artesia, N.M.; brothers, Udell Taylor and Dub Taylor, both of Odessa, Jimmie Taylor of Sanford and Johnnie Taylor of Duncan, Okla.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

ODESSA — Aurora H. Hinojos, 73, of Odessa died Sunday, May 26, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.

KERMIT — George Willis Barber, 77, of Kermit, owner of George’s Body Shop in Kermit, died Saturday, March 9, 2002, at the Kermit Healthcare Center.
No services are scheduled. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel.
He was born in Bonham. He was a veteran of WWII.
SURVIVORS: Son, George Barber of Kermit; daughter, Sue Barber of Kermit; sister, Ima Thetford of Odessa; and six grandchildren.

J.T. Mitchell
ODESSA — J.T. ‘Pete’ Mitchell, 81, of Odessa, a retired pipeline specialist for El Paso Natural Gas, died Saturday, March 9, 2002, at Hospice House.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Griffin Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Coleman. He was Baptist. He was an Army veteran.

MARFA — Francisco Morales, 89, of Marfa, a retired truck driver for the City of Marfa Sanitation Department, died Saturday, March 9, 2002, at his residence.

He was born in Ruidosa. He was Catholic.
