William “Wild Bill” Ensor
ODESSA — William “Wild Bill” Ensor, 79, of Midland passed away Thursday, Feb. 28, 2002, at Midland Memorial Hospital and Medical Center. He was born April 18, 1922, to E.E. and Virgie Ensor in Eastland.
Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday, March 4, 2002, at Sunset Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Stacey Fox officiating and assisted by Dub Jenkins. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
“Wild Bill” came to Odessa in 1946. He married Jessie Collier on Nov. 28, 1969, in Odessa.
His mother, father and a son, Joe Jenkins, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Jessie May Ensor of Fort Worth; stepsons, Dub Jenkins of Mesquite, Harold Jenkins and Jimmy Jenkins, both of Odessa; stepdaughters, Betty Marsh and Jeri Fox, both of Fort Worth; 18 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
Services are under the directions of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Martin Fierro
ODESSA — Martin Fierro, 35, a shop hand for TMBR, where he was employed for five years, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital. Mr. Fierro was born Oct. 29, 1966, in Pecos to Manuel and Socorro Fierro.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Carlos Fierro, and grandmother, Socorro Lujan.
He is survived by his wife, Josie Fierro; his father, Manuel Fierro; his mother, Socorro Fierro; son, Martin Fierro Jr. of Odessa; daughters, Breana Fierro and Iris E. Fierro, both of Odessa; grandmother, Reynalda Fierro of Pecos; grandfather, Crispin Payen of Odessa; sisters, Cecilia Guebara and husband Joey, Socorro Zuniga and husband Miguel and Rosa Santillan, all of Odessa; brothers, Manuel Fierro and wife Estella, Carlos Fierro, Ruben Fierro and wife Vickie and Albert Martinez, all of Odessa; four nieces, Mirella Fierro, Ashley Guebara, Ruby Fierro and Isabel Fierro, all of Odessa; and 14 nephews, Manuel Fierro Jr. III, Phillip Fierro, Joe Manuel Guebara, Adam Guebara, Carlos Fierro, Martin Fierro, Ruben Fierro, Ruben Anthony Fierro, Felix Fierro, Manuel Zuniga, Michael Zuniga, Angel Zuniga, Noel Fierro and Zachary Fierro, all of Odessa.
Viewing will be from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. today at Martinez Funeral Home with rosary said at 7 p.m.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2002, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with the Rev. Mark Woodruff officiating. Burial will be at Ector County cemetery.

Clister Bland
KERMIT — Clister Jo Bland, 89, of Kermit, a homemaker, died Saturday, May 18, 2002, at the Hospice House in Odessa.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Grace Temple Baptist Church with Gordon Oglesby officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. today at the Andrews Old cemetery in Andrews. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel.
She was born in Tula, Miss., and had been a resident of Gardendale. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Fred Bland of Kermit; son, Ray Bland of Crane; daughter, Betty Mann of Kermit; sister, Thelma Montgomery of Oxford, Miss.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Clyde Elliott
FORT STOCKTON — Clyde Cecil Elliott, 86, of Wickett, a retired contract welder, died Saturday, May 18, 2002, at Fort Stockton Nursing Center in Fort Stockton.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Larry Krueger and Wendell Elliott officiating. Burial will be at East Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.
He was born in Achille, Okla., and was a resident of Ward County since 1974.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Lucy Mae Elliott of Wickett; sons, Gary Elliott of Winnsboro and R. Henry Hank Elliott of Marathon; daughter, Carolyn Cook of Monahans; sisters, Marguerite Wright of Bakerville, S.C., Marjorie Ray of Amarillo and Wilma Mercer of Panhandle; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Salvador Holguin Sr.
McCAMEY — Salvador B. Holguin Sr., 55, of McCamey, an oilfield pumper, died Friday, May 17, 2002, at his residence.
Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Barry McLean officiating. Burial will be at the Imperial cemetery in Imperial. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home.
He was born in Imperial. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Helen G. Holguin of McCamey; sons, Salvador Holguin Jr. of McCamey and Carlos Holguin of Houston; daughters, Helen Rejino and Ana Holguin, both of McCamey; brothers, Henry Holguin, Cipriano Holguin and Luciano Holguin, all of Odessa, Ramon Holguin and Fred Holguin, both of Forsan; sisters, Margarita Acosta of Imperial and Senaida Aranda of Lovington, N.M.; and seven grandchildren.

Ruby Olsen
KERMIT — Ruby R. Olsen, 97, of Kermit, a homemaker, died Saturday, May 18, 2002, at Kermit Health Care Center.
Services were at 2 p.m. Monday at Cooper Funeral Chapel with Lloyd L. Van Cleave officiating. Burial was at the Kermit cemetery. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel.
She was born in Indian Territory, Okla., and was a resident of Kermit for 66 years. She was Apostolic.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Laura Johnson of Kermit; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; and three great-great-great-grandchildren.

Billy Shrum
ODESSA — Billy Jack Shrum, 72, of Odessa, a retired mechanic, died Friday, May 17, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dewey Blevins officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
He was born in Snyder and moved to Odessa in 1997 from Waco.
SURVIVORS: Son, John Shrum of Odessa; daughter, Dollie Riggs Boddie of Odessa; brother, John Shrum of San Bernardino, Calif.; sisters, Ida B. Throneberry, Mary Dempsey and Byrdie Nesbit, all of Waco; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Thelma Dickson
PECOS — Thelma Dickson, 74, of Pecos, a housekeeper, died Monday, May 20, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Henderson officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood cemetery. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.
She was born in Pine Bluff, Ark., and was a lifelong resident of Pecos. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Ruby Dade of Pecos; and son, Damon Dade of Lubbock.

Verba Hardy
FORT STOCKTON — Verba Mae Hardy, 78, of Fort Stockton, a homemaker, died Tuesday, May 21, 2002, at Memorial Hospital and Medical Center in Midland.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Fort Stockton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Miles officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Fairview cemetery in Pecos. Arrangements by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.
She was born in Pierce, Okla., and was a resident of Pecos County for 50 years. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Son, Michael D. Hardy of Odessa; daughters, Trisha Gayle Pimberton and Gloria Kay Ellison, both of Fort Stockton; sisters, Viola Brady of Fort Stockton, Mary Ann Miller of Waco and Glenda Jean McKinney of Boerne; brothers, Lewis J. Simpson of Teague and Herbert Simpson of Grand Rapids, S.D.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

ODESSA — Sylvia J. Houston, 79, of Odessa, a secretary, died Monday, May 20, 2002, at the Hospice House.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Sherwood Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Hiser officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. MST today at the Lovington cemetery in Lovington, N.M. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Garland. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Susan Langley of Odessa; son, Kendall C. Houston Jr. of Karnes City; sister, Beatrice Martin of Ben Wheeler; brother, Von Rae Brown of Yucca Valley, Calif.; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

MIDLAND — Cecilio Maldonado, 67, of Midland, a businessman, died Tuesday, May 21, 2002, at his residence.

He was born in Malacroft. He was Catholic.
