ODESSA — Manuel Antonio “Gordo” Galindo Sr., 36, of Odessa, a supervisor for BCM and Associates Inc., died Wednesday, March 20, 2002, in Odessa.
Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Serafin Avenido officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.
He was born in Ojinaga, Mexico.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Leticia Galindo of Odessa; son, Manuel Antonio Galindo Jr. of Odessa; daughters, Jessica Galindo and Angie Galindo, both of Odessa; mother, Angela Galindo of Odessa; brothers, Jose Galindo, Ubaldo Galindo, Isaiaz Galindo and Luis Galindo, all of Odessa, and Homero Galindo of Midland; and sisters, Guadalupe Galindo and Barbara Urias, both of Odessa, and Eva Galindo of Pecos.

Horace Gideon
LAKE BUTLER, Fla. — Horace Buford “Pinky” Gideon, 80, of Lake Butler, Fla., a retired truck driver, died Thursday, March 21, 2002, at Lake Butler Hospital in Lake Butler.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. EST Sunday at Mount Zion cemetery with Roger Worten officiating. Arrangements by Archer Funeral Home.
He was born in Caddo Mills and had been a resident of Odessa. He was a Marines veteran of World War II. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Betty A. Gideon of Lake Butler; daughter, Evelyn Rebecca Sowell of Locksburg, Ark.; son, Buford Dale Gideon of Horatio, Ark.; brothers, N.T. Gideon of Granbury and Howard Eugene Gideon of Houston; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Vernon Henderson
ARCHER CITY — Vernon L. Henderson, 76, of Lake Kickapoo, a retired gang pusher for Texaco Oil Co. in Odessa, died Thursday, March 21, 2002, at his residence.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First Assembly of God Church of Archer City with the Rev. T.L. Wilborn and Curtis Knobloch officiating. Burial will be at the Archer City cemetery. Arrangements by Aulds Funeral Home.
He was born in Dangerfield and had been a resident of Odessa. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Gertrude “Pat” Henderson of Lake Kickapoo; sons, Bob Henderson of Ingleside and Jimmy Henderson of Graham; daughter, Estelle Harrison of Odessa; brothers, Don Henderson of Odessa and Roy Tabb of Midland; sisters, Imogene Rogers of Bowie, Annie Harlan of Forney and Hazel Butts of Odessa; and nine grandchildren.

ODESSA — Terry Ford Levett, 39, of Odessa, a driller, died Wednesday, March 20, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at a later date. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Kalamazoo, Mich. He was an Army veteran. He was Protestant.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Tosha Levett of Odessa; daughter, Victoria “Dani” Alderidge of Odessa; parents, George and Arlean Levett of Ozona; grandmother, Vada Bailey of Plainwell, Mich.; and step grandmother, Dorothy Levett of Plainwell.

Thelma Richardson
KILGORE — Thelma Richardson, 91, of Grand Prairie, a homemaker, died Thursday, March 21, 2002, in Arlington.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Highway 42 Church of Christ with Quinton Gage officiating. Burial will follow at the Kilgore cemetery. Arrangements by Rader Funeral Home.
She was born in Sherman and had been a resident of Kilgore. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Berle Smith of Grand Prairie, Ima Jean Rhodes of Midlothian and Lanelle Wiggins of Longview; son, James Richardson of Slidell, La.; sisters, Gerdie Sloan of Spartanburg, Ind., Richie Weger and Ida Delashaw, both of Colbert, Okla., Mayhew Harrison and Frances Rice, both of Odessa, Marilyn Mitchell of Denison and LaWanda Duckworth of Cartwright, Okla.; brothers, Archie Taylor of Odessa, Donald Taylor of Lufkin, Leon Taylor of Denison, William Taylor of Kemp, Okla., and Kenneth Taylor of Hendrix, Okla.; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

He was born in Woodruff, Ark. He was Baptist.

She was born in Lovelady.
