ABILENE Mamie Laverne Tootsie Austin, 71, of Abilene, a retired employee of Blue Cross/Blue Shield, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2002, in Abilene.

KERMIT Steve Baldwin, 90, of Kermit, retired owner of Western Auto, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2002, at Winkler County Memorial Hospital in Kermit.

He was born in Fort Chadbourne and was a resident of Kermit for 54 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was Episcopalian.

He was born Hartman, Ark., and was a resident of Pecos County since 1965. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

ODESSA Bonnie Rae Russell, 69, of Odessa died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.

Euey Cameron
BARTLETT Euey Henry Cameron, 77, of Odessa, beloved father and husband, was called home to be with the Lord Thursday, July 18, 2002, at Scott and White Hospital in Temple.
Mr. Cameron was born Nov. 19, 1925, in Bartlett, the son of Pauline Joiner and Euey Leo Cameron. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.
He graduated in 1943 from Bartlett High School. He retired from Ref-Chem and retired on May 3, 2001, as maintenance supervisor with the Midland School District after 12 years. He was a licensed pilot and a member of the Ellsworth, Kan., Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, camping and boating.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Margaret Dornbush; and brother, Billy Cameron.
Survivors include his wife, Suzanne Cameron of Odessa; daughters, Dr. Pamela Cameron and Susan Siemer and husband Gary of Houston; sons, Donald Henry Cameron and wife Debora of Columbia, Mo., Richard Lee Woody and wife Laurie of Midland and Robert Cameron Key of Kingsville; sisters, Nello Pope of Llano and Doris Voight and husband Wallace of Bartlett; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two nephews; and three nieces.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Goodnight Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 21, 2002, at Goodnight Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Jordan officiating. Burial will be at Bartlett City cemetery.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Odessa.
Doris Jean Weatherbee
RANKIN Doris Jean Weatherbee, 69, of Rankin died Thursday, July 18, 2002, at Midland Memorial Hospital and Medical Center.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 22, 2002, at the Rankin cemetery with the Rev. Jim Medley officiating. Services are under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of Crane.
Mrs. Weatherbee was born Oct. 15, 1932, in Rush Springs, Okla. She had been a longtime resident of Rankin, moving there in 1952. She married
James Alexander Weatherbee July 15, 1950, in Rush Springs, Okla. She was a housewife and a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her father, Hermis Forbes; her mother, Ruth Taliciferro Forbes; and a sister, Naomi Forbes Pendley.
Survivors include her husband, James Weatherbee of Rankin; three children, Jimmy Weatherbee and wife Jo Dale of Bartlesville, Okla., Tricia Taylor and husband Gary of Kuwait and Deanna Miller and husband George of Brownwood; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
