OPP, ALA. - Clarise Ethel Qualls, 75, a retired machine operator, of Opp, Ala., died Monday, Oct. 13, 1997, at Mizell Memorial Hospital.
Services were at 2 p.m. Oct. 15 at Westview Assembly of God with the Rev. John Holley officiating. Burial was at Blue Springs cemetery. Arrangements by Rainer Funeral Home.
She was born in Covington County, Ala., and was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Sylvia Carter of Opp and Jeanie Hamlin of Gardendale; brother, Sheldon McCurley of Opp; sisters, Jewel Oyer of Plant City, Fla., and Euniva Adams, Wynell Jowers and Quida Johnson, all of Opp; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

ODESSA - D.G. West, 80, a retired pumper for Mobil Oil Co., died Friday, Oct. 31, 1997, at Midland Memorial Hospital and Medical Center.

He was born in Brownwood and was a resident of Midland. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Tommy Bolling, Sr.
PECOS - Tommy Bolling, Sr., 71, a retired employee of Dan Daniels Music Co., died Saturday, Nov. 1, 1997, in a Big Spring hospital.
Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at North Temple Baptist Church in Pecos with Pastor J.E. McCormick officiating. Burial will be at Toyah cemetery in Toyah. Funeral arrangements by Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.
He was born in Rotan and was a Baptist. He served in the Army Air Corp during World War II.

He was born in Normangee, and has been a resident of Monahans since 1964. He was a member of First Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Shackelford was born in Whiteflat and came to Odessa in 1959. She was Methodist.

MONAHANS - Manuel P. DeAnda, 78, a retired employee with the City of Monahans, died Sunday, Nov. 2, 1997, at Ward Memorial Hospital.
Rosary will be said at 8 p.m. today at St. John's Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Catholic Church in Monahans. Burial will be at Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.
He was born in Presidio and was a longtime resident of Monahans. He was a Navy veteran and a Catholic.
