ABILENE - Willie Belle Clements, 94, of Abilene, died Saturday, Nov. 8, 1997, at an Abilene nursing home.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. today at the Elliott-Hamil Chapel of Memories in Abilene. Burial will be in Potosi cemetery with the Rev. Rodney Watson officiating.
She was born in Mart, and she was a Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Robert Clements of Arlington and Clifford Clements of Odessa; daughter, Sybil Ramey of Abilene; sister, Gertrude Parton of Huett; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

ODESSA - Stephen Hale, 91, of Odessa, died Saturday, Nov. 8, 1997, at Medical Center Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Jack Watkins officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
He was a member of Temple Baptist Church for over 51 years, and he worked for Wooley Tool.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Vera Hale of Odessa; daughter, Donna Sullivan of Odessa; brother, Marcus Hale of San Angelo; sister, Mary Ruth Taylor of Spring Valley Calif.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

BIG SPRING - Viola Jackson, 77, of Big Spring, died Friday, Nov. 7, 1997, in a Big Spring nursing home.

She was born in Hugo, Okla., and was formerly of Odessa. She was a homemaker and a Jehovah's Witness.

He was a veteran of World War II, and he worked for the De Coty Coffee Company for 35 years.

SEMINOLE - Ernest L. Hester, 86, of Seminole, a plumber and minister, died Friday, Nov. 7, 1997, at Memorial Hospital in Seminole, following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Lovington, N.M., and resided in Seminole 54 years. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
SURVIVORS: wife, Opal Irene of Seminole; sisters, Lois Reynolds of Bovina, Ella Rae Coppley of Muleshoe and Vella Fae Boen of Lamesa; one granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.
Melva P. Irvin
ODESSA - Melva P. Irvin, 82, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Nov. 6, 1997 at her residence after an illness.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel in Odessa, with the Rev. Griffin Jones officiating.
She was born in Geraldine, Mont., and was Baptist.

ODESSA - Bill Travis Murrell, 61, a retired chemical engineer, of Odessa died Nov. 5, 1997, at his residence after an illness.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Rose Hill cemetery in Odessa with the Rev. Griffin Jones officiating.
He was a retired chemical engineer, and an Army veteran. He was born in Crane.
SURVIVORS: Son, William Murrell of Bloomington, Ill.; one brother, Jake Murrell of Midland.
William Armstrong
NEW ORLEANS - William 'Bubbis' Armstrong, 80, a retired government employee and former resident of Odessa, died Friday, Nov. 7, 1997.
He will be buried in Arlington National cemetery in Washington. Services are pending with House of Bultman Funeral Home in New Orleans. He was an Army veteran in World War II and in Vietnam. He was born in Sydney, Australia, and lived in Odessa as a young man. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Son, Nick Armstrong of Washington, D.C.; brother, Joe Armstrong of Corpus Christi; sister, Helen McQueen of San Diego, Calif.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

ODESSA - Edward Eugene Stamps, 45, a professional painter, died Saturday at Medical Center Hospital.
Burial services will begin at 2 p.m. Monday at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa.
He was born in New Castle, Ind.
SURVIVORS: Son, Jesse Quillen of Dallas; one brother, Jerry Stamps of Odessa; three sisters, Judy Wells, Sharon Brinlee and Betty Walker, all of Odessa; one grandchild.

PECOS - Guillermo R. Fierro, 75, of Pecos died Sunday, Nov. 9, 1997, at his residence.
Rosary was said Monday at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today at Santa Rosa Catholic Church with the Rev. Antonio Mena officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.
He was born in Ojinaga, Mexico, and had lived in Pecos since 1968. He was a Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Rosa Fierro of Pecos; son, Guillermo Fierro Jr. of Pecos; daughter, Delea Urias of Pecos; brothers, Agustino Fierro and Eujenio Fierro, both of Ojinaga, Mexico; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
