Patricia Ann Hahn
ODESSA — Patricia Ann Hahn, age 66 of Gardendale, died Sept. 29, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital. She was born July 8, 1936, in Ranger, Texas, to Leo and Mary Hise.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2002, in the chapel of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors with the Rev. Charles Thornton officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Pat married
Kenneth Hahn in Odessa in 1954. She was a nurse, employed by Dr. Wright for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Gardendale, AARP, Christian Women’s Club, Beta Sigma Pi, Eastern Star and China Painting Association.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Hahn of Gardendale; daughter, Mary Riley and husband Hugh of Gardendale; sons, Tommy Hahn of Indianapolis, Ind., and Kenny Hahn and wife Lorrie of Waco; grandchildren; Toby and Brandon Riley of Gardendale and Erik Wagner of Waco.
Pallbearers will be Mark Bivins, Daniel Bivins, Josh Alford, Cody Alford, Shea Culver, Zane Hallmark, Toby Riley, Brandon Riley, Erik Wagner and Keith Tower.
Family visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

Roger Lee Hartwig
ODESSA — Roger Lee Hartwig, 58, of Odessa passed away Monday, Sept. 30, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
He was born February 5, 1944, in Monroe, Wis. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He moved to Odessa in 1971. He worked for Mobil Oil Co. for seven years. He married
Martha Palmer on April 19, 1969, in Goldsmith. Roger loved music and enjoyed watching stock car races.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Hartwig of Odessa; sons, Lee Hartwig and wife Carla of Goldsmith and Tim Hartwig and wife Rikki Bradley of Odessa; mother-in-law, Colleen Palmer of Odessa; brothers, Mike Tschudy and Link Tschudy, both of Amarillo, and Nick Hartwig of Wisconsin; sister Margaret Bull of Amarillo; and five grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, 2002, at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to the United Way.

Rush Locke
ODESSA — Services for Rush Locke, 87, of Odessa are scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2002, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Chapel with Dave Garrison officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Locke passed away Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002, at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born Aug. 16, 1915, in DeLeon, Texas, to William C. Locke and Mary Elizabeth Barker Locke. He married
Altha Tucker on Jan. 13, 1940, and they moved to Odessa in 1951. He was employed by Wright Rental Tools and Donham Oil CO. as a reverse driller. He served in the Eighth Calvary “Troop B” at Fort Bliss from 1936 to 1939. He also served in World War II on the Gen. U.S.S. Greely troop ship with the Coast Guard. He was a member of Crescent Park Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five sisters; and seven brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Altha Locke of Odessa; son, Darl Locke and wife Janet of Flower Mound; daughter, Linda Whisenant and husband Greg of Odessa; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
If desired, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimers Association.

Louis E. “Mac” McLeaish
ODESSA — Louis E. “Mac” McLeaish, 81, of Crane passed away Monday, Sept. 30 at the Desert View Manor in Crane.
He was born Oct. 8, 1920, in Boulder, Co. Mr. McLeaish had served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II. He worked as a lease operator for Gulf Oil and Chevron. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed painting and loved his family and spending time with them.
He is survived by his son, Michael McLeaish and wife K.T. of Odessa; brother, Donald McLeaish of Duncanville; sister, Julie Fazio of Beaumont; two grandchildren, Sean McLeaish of Odessa and Rebecca Oimoen and husband Mark of Marshall, Wis.; and two great-grandchildren, Kenneth and Mariel Oimoen of Marshall, Wis.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2002, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Father Francis Frey officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Ector County Library.

Albert F. “Shorty” Voglino
ODESSA — Albert F. “Shorty” Voglino, 84, passed away Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002, at Hospice House.
He was born Aug. 30, 1918, to Frank Voglino and Amelia Mignono Voglino in Carbondale, Pa. He married
Jackie Barner on April 23, 1946. They had four children: Robert Voglino, Toni Voglino, Roslyn Voglino and Richard Voglino.
Mr. Voglino was in the Army and fought in World War II. He was a member of First Baptist Church with 45 years of service with multiple positions as a Sunday School Teacher, Bible School Teacher, and a Youth Sponsor. Mr Voglino was an insurance salesman for Prudential Insurance Co. from 1962 through 1982. He was District Man of the Year in 1967 and 1969, President’s Citation winner in 1967 and Salesman of the Month numerous times during his Prudential career. He also was involved in the Lion’s Club from 1970 with numerous positions as President, Vice-president, Secretary and Treasurer with multiple awards for services rendered.
Survivors include his wife, Jackie Barner Voglino; sons, Robert Voglino and his wife Beth of Kingsland and Richard Voglino and his wife Lori of Lewisville; daughters, Toni Freels and her husband David of Odessa and Roslyn Scott and her husband James of Dallas; grandsons; David Paul Freels of Odessa, Michael Anthony Freels of Odessa, Tony Layman of Lewisville, Jonathan Scott of Dallas and Derek Layman of Lewisville; granddaughters, April Burney and her husband Brian of Odessa, Annah Shalom Jimenez and her husband Anthony of Bastrop, Ester Elizabeth Voglino of Austin, Lisa Freels of Odessa and Natalie Nicole Scott of Dallas.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Oct. 1, 2002, at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Melvin Warren officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens under direction of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
Marvin Wayne White
OLNEY — Marvin Wayne White, 41, of McKinney, Texas, died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, in a San Antonio Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today, Oct. 1, 2002, at Lunn Funeral Home in Olney with the Rev. Paul Jones, pastor of the First Church of God in Odessa, Texas, and Scotte Clark, minister of the Hamilton Street Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will be in the Restland cemetery under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home.
Mr. White was born Dec. 24, 1960, in Odessa, Texas, to Tommy and Beverly (Daniel) White. He and Elaine McCormack were married
Dec. 19, 1998, in Odessa, Texas. He graduated from Permian High School in Odessa. He also graduated from UTPB. He taught middle school in Duncanville, Texas, for one year and was currently teaching at McKinney High School in McKinney, Texas. He had a great love for his God, his family and friends. He loved to write and sing gospel music and play the guitar and grand piano. He was a wonderful Christian man and was considered a gentle giant by his friends. He was a member of the First Church of God in Odessa. He moved to McKinney in 2000 from Duncanville.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine of McKinney, Texas; parents, Tommy and Beverly White of Odessa, Texas; grandmother, Ruth Daniel of Olney, Texas; mother and father-in-law, John and Joan McCormack of Belfast, Northern Ireland; and a sister-in-law, Caroline McCormack of Belfast, Northern Ireland.

BALMORHEA — Frank Hernandez Subia, 74, of Pecos, a retired auto test driver, died Friday, Sept. 27, 2002, at Reeves County Hospital in Pecos.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at Santa Rosa Catholic Church with the Rev. Miguel Sanchez officiating. Burial will follow at the Balmorhea cemetery. Arrangements by Peaceful Garden Funeral Home.
He was an Army veteran. He was Catholic.

MONAHANS — Pinkie Lee Thornton, 73, of Monahans, a homemaker, died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002, in Monahans.

She was born in Coolidge.

TOYAH — Elena H. Matta, 75, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, at Seabury Nursing Home in Odessa.
Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the church with the Rev. Cerafin Avenido officiating. A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Burial will
be at Toyah cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
She was Catholic.

ODESSA — Marvin Wayne White, 41, of McKinney, died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, at Methodist Metropolitan Hospital in San Antonio.

Richard E. ‘Dick’ Norman
ODESSA — Richard E. “Dick” Norman, 79, passed away Sunday, Sept. 15, 2002, at Hospice House. He was born Dec. 23, 1922, to Ernest and Anna Norman in Seymour, Conn. He married
Elizabeth Marie Evans on Dec. 28, 1947.
“Dick” was a resident of Odessa since 1948. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a natural born mechanic and engineer. He owned Stainless Steel Fabricators Inc., Dick Norman and Normco. He was in manufacturing for 40 years. He was also a jeweler. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and metal work.
Chapel services are scheduled for 2 p.m. today, Sept. 18, 2002, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Clydell Chapman officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Marie Norman; two daughters, Sherry White and husband Ron of Odessa and Tanada Whisenhunt and husband Ray of Bedford; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Home Hospice of Odessa.
Services are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
Howard Crimm
ODESSA — Howard Lamar Crimm, 61, of Odessa, a retired oilfield worker, died Monday, Sept. 16, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.

He was born in Forest, Miss. He was Baptist.
