WAXAHACHIE – Funeral services for Reba Louise Northcutt Daily were held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 12, 2001 at Evangel Temple Assembly of God in Waxahachie with Rev. David Godwin, Rev. Tony Gonzales and Rev. Bill Ferrell officiating.
Preceded in death by a brother, sister, her parents James and Panthea Northcutt; she is survived by her husband of 50 years Earnest Daily; daughter Diane Gonzales; sons Dewey and Mike Daily; grandchildren Blake Knight, Tony Lynn Gonzales, Amanda Daily and Tori Gonzales; great-granddaughter Camille Knight; three brothers and six sisters.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Waxahachie Funeral Home.
Milton M. Dixon
April 9, 1933 – March 3, 2001
ENNIS – Funeral services for Milton M. Dixon, 67 of Ennis, were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2001 in St. Johns Catholic Church with Rev. Fred Caldwell as celebrant.
Born on April 9, 1933 in Kaufman County, the son of Marvin and Leona Burke Dixon, he passed away March 3, 2001 at his home.
Preceded in death by sister Betty Jane Lockley; he is survived by his wife Elizabeth of Ennis; three daughters Shirley and Roger Cross of Forney, Janet Helms and Gary Kidder of Ft. Worth, Mary Dlabaj and Ralph Martinez of Ennis; mother of Ennis; five brothers Tom Dixon of Ennis, M.D. Dixon of Bardwell, Grover Dixon, Harvey Dixon and Earl Dixon of Ennis; and 10 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Carissa Dlabaj, Porfirio Mendez Jr., Gary Kidder, Roger Cross, Earl Dixon and Harvey Dixon.
Interment followed in the St. Josephs Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary.
Jettie V. Gilmore
Feb. 13, 1917 – March 2, 2001
ENNIS – Funeral services for Jettie V. Gilmore, 84, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 4, 2001 in the Keever Chapel with Rev. Eddie Ricks and Rev. Mark Richardson officiating.
Born on Feb. 13, 1917 in Avalon, the daughter of P.F. and Johnnie Frances Cox Gillespie, she passed away March 2, 2001 at the Ennis Regional Medical Center.
Preceded in death by four brothers Sol, Joe, Franklin and Woodrow Gillespie; she is survived by brother Pete Gillespie of Avalon; and two sisters Clemmie Flynt of Ennis and Nettie Helms of Italy.
Pallbearers were Ron Gillespie, Steven Beakley, Robert Wolt, Larry Poarch, Don Muirhead and Bob Beakley.
Interment followed in the Elm Branch Cemetery in Bardwell under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary.
Howard Michael “Mike” Lewis

PALMER – Graveside services for Howard Michael “Mike” Lewis, 46 of Palmer, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2001 at Myrtle Cemetery in Ennis with Bro. Edward Ricks officiating.
Born on Aug. 17, 1954 in Waxahachie, the son of Harold and Geneva (Fuller) Lewis, he passed away March 8, 2001 at his residence.
Preceded in death by his father and brother; he is survived by his mother of Palmer; nieces Susan Fuller of Dallas, Wendy Lewis of Waxahachie and Brandy Outon of Glenn Heights; uncle Tom Fuller and wife Sue of Cedar Hill and his grandmother Mary Fuller of Ferris.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie.
Zeferino Luna

Born on Sept. 15, 1934 in Laredo, the son of Zeferino Sr. and Josefa Perales Luna, he passed away Feb. 27, 2001 at Ennis Regional Medical Center.
Preceded in death by his parents and sister Petra Luna; he is survived by his wife Eulalia Hernandez of Ferris; daughters Maria Isabel Luna of Strathmore, Calif., Maria Elena Luna of Lindsay, Calif., Anna Maria Luna of Reno, Nev.; son Luis Mamuel Lunda of Lindsay; step-daughters Gloria Morales of Ferris and Rosa E. Cervantes of Dallas; step-son Jose L. Hernandez of Palmer; and sisters Victoria Aguilar of Laredo and Belen Martinez of Corpus Christi.
Interment followed in the Ferris Memorial Park North under the direction of Green Funeral Home in Ferris.
Mary Catherine Malone

Preceded in death by her mother Treva Rogers and grandparents Steve Dobecka, Billy Aeby and Mary Barnett; she is survived by her daughter Samantha Malone; Samantha’s father James Malone; parents Jodie and Marie Dobecka; brothers Jerry Anderson, David, Daniel and Jimmy Dobecka; sisters Sallie Dobecka and Melissa Chance; grandparents Mary Dobecka, Byron and Lois Leonhart; and fiancée Mark Velasquez.
Interment followed in the Roselawn Memorial Park under the direction of Roselawn Funeral Home and Cemetery in Seagoville.
Kenneth Ray Nutt

WAXAHACHIE – Funeral services for Kenneth Ray Nutt, 65, were held at 3 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2001 at the Waxahachie Funeral Home Chapel with Charles Campbell officiating.
Born on March 4, 1936 in Corsicana, the son of Noah and Gladys (Lusk) Nutt, he passed away March 7, 2001 at Ellis County Baylor Medical Center.
He is survived by four sons Jimmy L. Nutt, Kenneth R. Nutt, Andy R. Nutt and Julian Milner; six daughters Kendra Sadler, Brenda Prather, Frances Cummings, Linda Lamb, Patsy Baugher and Vannessa Weatherford; brother Wilbert Nutt; sisters Betty Jordan, Christine Wilson, Linda Jordan, Peggy Bailey and Barbara Mabry; 20 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Andy Nutt, Jimmy Nutt, Kenny Nutt, Julian Milner, John Prather Jr. and Terry Sadler.
Interment followed in the Red Oak Cemetery under the direction of Waxahachie Funeral Home.
