DALLAS – Funeral services for Sabino Lopez, 63 of Dallas, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 22, 2001 at Green Funeral Home with Rev. Ceasar Segura officiating.
Born on Aug. 22, 1937 in Cd. Leon, Mexico, the son of Ignacio and Dionicia Martinez Lopez, he passed away March 20, 2001 at Charlton Methodist Hospital in Dallas.
Preceded in death by his parents, daughter Susana Charles and granddaughter Brenda Charles; he is survived his wife Tomasa Romero Lopez of Dallas; daughters Yolanda Nunez of Dallas, Nohemi Turrubiates of Dallas and Eva Soria of Dallas; sons Julian Lopez of Dallas and Dionicio Lopez of Dallas; sisters Pachita Lopez of Leon, Mexico and Maria Lopez of Leon; brothers Jose Lopez of Leon and Juan Lopez; and 16 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Julian Lopez, Dionicio Lopez, Jose S. Nunez and Ruben Turrubiates.
Interment followed in the Ferris Memorial Park North under the direction of Green Funeral Home in Ferris.
William “Billy” Lumpkins

ENNIS – Graveside services for William “Billy” Lumpkins, 76 of Ennis, were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2001 at the Forreston Cemetery.
Born on Oct. 10, 1924 in Forreston, the son of Rush Elbert and Ina Bess Harvey Lumpkins, he passed away March 24, 2001 at Ennis Care Center.
He is survived by his nephew Bob Lumpkins and niece Robin McKay.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Boze-Mitchell Funeral Home in Waxahachie.
Elizabeth A. Marusak

ENNIS – Funeral services for Elizabeth A. Marusak, 93, were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 22, 2001 in St. Johns Catholic Church with Rev. Fred Caldwell celebrant.
Born on Dec. 10, 1907 in Pilot Point, the daughter of John and Aloise Kubicek Blazek, she passed away March 19, 2001 at the Ennis Regional Medical Center.
Preceded in death by her son Frank, three grandsons Jason, Donnie and Mark, granddaughter Angela and great-granddaughter Ann; she is survived by four sons and their wives Bill and Mildred Marusak of Ennis, John Marusak of Arlington, Elick and Shirley Marusak of Ennis, and Gene Marusak of Ennis; nine daughters and their husbands Rose Trojacek of Ennis, Georgia and Jerry Hejny of Ennis, Betty Slovak of Hutchins, Wilma and Joe Kapavik of Lancaster, Lillie Macalik of Dallas, Margaret and Emil Martinek of Ennis, Geraldine and William Green of Hot Springs, Ark., Frances and William Divin of Ennis and Elaine and Marty Conner of Farmington, N.M.; brother Edward Blazek of Calif.; two sisters Agnes Jaska of The Woodlands and Mary Smith of Big Sandy; 55 grandchildren; 111 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Chris Divin, Ernie Martinek, Victor Trojacek, Wayne Marusak, Robert Macalik, Rick Hejny, Dean Marusak and Ron Kapavik.
Interment followed in the St. Josephs Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary.
Joe R. Santivanez

ENNIS – Graveside services for Joe R. Santivanez, 48, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2001 in St. Josephs Cemetery with Deacon Dean Darnall officiating.
Born on Aug. 30, 1952 in San Antonio, the son of Gumecindo and Santos Rodriguez Santivanez, he passed away March 19, 2001 at the Baylor Medical Center in Dallas.
He is survived by his mother Santos R. Santivanez of Ennis; five brothers Edward Herrera and Sylvester Herrera both of Ennis, Jimmy Santivanez of Germany, Tino Santivanez and Jessie Santivanez both of San Antonio; and three sisters Mary Ann Santivanez of Glenn Heights, Diane Gomez of San Antonion and Yvonne Herrera of Ennis.
Pallbearers were Albert Ortiz, Sylvester Herrera, Delfino Torres, Tino Santivanez, Edward Herrera and Rene Santivanez.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary.
Lewis Cravens

Born on Jan. 10, 1916 in Ivanhoe, the son of Albert M. and Maggie Nunley Cravens, he passed away March 23, 2001 at the Care Inn Nursing Home in Sanger.
Preceded in death by his daughter Sharyn Baker; he is survived by his wife Ava of Sanger; two sons and their wives Dwayne and Darlene Cravens of Sanger, and Royce and Merle Cravens of Palmer; daughter and her husband Patricia and Jimmy Myers of Huffman; sister Mary Ann Payne of Denison; eight grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Keith Myers, Greg Myers, Donnie Keilers, Tommy Santos, Jimmy Myers and Jim Ruthford.
Interment followed in the Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary.
Kathryn Jo Scott Gibbons

Born on June 13, 1917 in Waco, the daughter of Joe W. and Katie Muirhead Scott, she passed away March 22, 2001 at the Hermann Hospital in Houston.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack G. Gibbons, daughter Sharon Luby and two sisters Mary Jane McKinney and Margaret Muirhead; she is survived by daughter Kay Haymond of Houston; and two grandchildren Win Haymond of Brenham and Joe O. Luby III of Bucksport, Maine.

Billy Ray Lockhart

He is survived by his wife Estelle Johnson Lockhart of Lancaster; son and his wife Billy and Kim Lockhart of Ennis; daughter and her husband Sherri and Ricky Smith of McKinney; two brothers Wilson Lockhart of Hamilton, Ala. and James Lockhart of Dallas; three sisters Wilma Christine Avery of Dallas, Gearl Dean Weaver of Brookhaven, Miss. and Lorene Vann of Rock Island, Ill. and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Joby Linker, Bill Allen, Tony Price, Chuck Poindexter, Jason Poindexter and Tim Scalise.
