PALMER Funeral services for Harper Wadley, 77 of Palmer, were held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 10, 2001 in the First United Methodist Church in Palmer with Rev. Mel Bishara and Rev. Joe Larson officiating.
Born May 3, 1924 in Palmer, the son of Oran and Cozy Harper Wadley, he passed away Aug. 8, 2001 at his home.
He is survived by his wife Ruth of Palmer; son and his wife John and Rebecca Wadley of Waxahachie and two grandchildren James and Jarrod Wadley.
Interment followed in the Palmer Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary Palmer Chapel.
Evelyn Susan Brown

HUTCHINS Funeral services for Evelyn Susan Brown, 89 of Hutchins, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2002 in the Red Oak Funeral Home Chapel.
Born Nov. 17, 1912 in Boise, the daughter of E.H. and Lilly Prather Brown, she passed away Jan. 13, 2002 in Dallas.
She is survived by her brothers F.M. Brown of Red Oak and Lewis T. Brown of Wilmer; two nephews and five nieces.
Interment followed in the Laurel Land Cemetery in Dallas under the direction of Red Oak Funeral Home, Berdon Byrum.
Mary Elizabeth Norman

WAXAHACHIE Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth Norman, 83, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2002 at the Waxahachie City Cemetery with Rev. Ray Shannon officiating.
Born Nov. 25, 1918 in Waxahachie, the daughter of T.W. and Julia Norman, she passed away at a local care center in Arlington in 2002.
Preceded in death by her brother W.D. Norman and sister Laurine Donnell; she is survived by her nieces Linda Norman Townzen of Arlington and Judy Norman Fikes of Ft. Worth; nephew Richard E. Norman of Birmingham, Ala.; sister-in-law Ann Norman Ronk of Waco; four great-nieces and a great-great-nephew.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Boze-Mitchell Funeral Home in Waxahachie.

Born Oct. 23, 1938 in Houston, the daughter of Albert Ray Nunn and Frances Auterberry, she passed away Sept. 18, 2002 in Lancaster Medical Center.
Preceded in death by her parents and son Ernest Nelson Jr.; she is survived by her husband Henry Hill of Ferris; daughters Peggy Graham of Arkansas, Nelda Larson of Fort Dodge, Iowa and Beverly Teague of Ferris; son David Nelson of Wilmer; brother Billy Ellis of Houston; and 13 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Paul Larson, Leaman Lumpkin, David Nelson, Andrew McBride, Travis Teague and Gabriel Larson.
Arrangements were under the direction of Green Funeral Home in Ferris.

Born Sept. 22, 1923 in Kleberg, the daughter of Hershel and Henrietta Busby Guinn, she passed away Sept. 18, 2002 in the Medical Center in Terrell.
Preceded in death by her husband Floyd Pinson, parents, daughter Norma Jean Collins, sister Treva Redd and brothers Emmitt Guinn and Carl Guinn; she is survived by her daughters Brenda Book and her husband Jimmy of Quinlan, Carla Hood and her husband Tim of Terrell and Donna Earnest and her husband Byron of Lancaster; son Floyd Pinson Jr. and his wife Susan of Red Oak; sister Mary Margaret Meadows of Grand Prairie; brother Tommy Guinn of Dallas; 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were under the direction of Green Funeral Home in Ferris.
Steven Nelson Chapman

RED OAK Funeral services for Steven (Steve) Nelson Chapman, 55 of Red Oak, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003 at the First Baptist Church of Red Oak where he served as deacon, Sunday school teacher and treasurer with James Shenrock officiating.
Born Feb. 3, 1947 in Waxahachie, the son of Melvin and Mary Cunningham Chapman, he passed away Jan. 22, 2003 after a courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrigs Disease). He went to work for Optical Clinic in Dallas after graduating college and worked there 20 years. He then opened Steves Optical in Red Oak and later went into a partnership with Dr. David Reagan at Town Square Optical in Waxahachie.
Preceded in death by his parents Melvin and Mary Chapman of Red Oak and aunt Sara Cunningham of Mesquite; he is survived by his wife of 34 years Brenda Chapman of Red Oak; daughter Denise Chapman of Allen; sister and brother-in-law Melva and Dan Sutherland of Red Oak; nephew Colby Lemon of Houston and uncle and aunt Grady and Lucy Chapman of Red Oak.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Red Oak building fund or to the ALS Association.
Interment followed in the Red Oak Cemetery under the direction of Red Oak Funeral Home, Berdon Byrum.

Born Feb. 28, 1989 in Dallas, the son of Robert Edward Sr. and Tamara Pearce Cerda, he passed away Jan. 20, 2003 in Red Oak.
He is survived by his mother Tamara Pearce of Red Oak; father and stepmother Robert E. Cerda Sr. and Hope Cerda of Carrollton; sisters Shandalyn Cerda of Red Oak and Christina Cerda of Dallas; grandparents Wanda and Richard Brown of Lancaster and Joe and Mary Cerda of Grand Prairie; great-grandmother Virginia Pearce of Arkansas; great-grandparents Julio and Mary Melendez of Quinland; and aunt Amanda Pearce.
Interment followed in the Red Oak Cemetery under the direction of Red Oak Funeral Home, Berdon Byrum.
