WAXAHACHIE - Funeral services for Mark A. Maliff, 48 of Waxahachie, are to be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 18, 2006 in the Keever Chapel.
Born April 11, 1958 in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of John J. and Barbara Freeman Maliff, he passed away Saturday, Aug. 12, 2006, at the Baylor Medical Center in Waxahachie.
On Jan. 8, 1993 he was married to Stephanie Walters. They lived in Lewisville where he was employed in street maintenance by the city for 15 years. They resided in Waxahachie for the last seven years.
He is survived by his wife Stephanie of Waxahachie; son Steven John Richard Maliff of Waxahachie; parents John and Barbara Maliff of Daytona Beach, Fla.; two brothers John Maliff of Deerfield Beach, Fla. and Paul Maliff of Ashfield, Mass.; and a sister and her husband, Jean and Ed Eottum of Raleigh, N.C.
Interment will follow in the Bristol Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary.

BARDWELL - Funeral services for Thomas E. Powell, 69 of Bardwell, were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 14, 2006 in the Keever Chapel with Robert Moore officiating.
Born May 26, 1937 in Eden, the son of James T. and Juanita Haynes Powell, he passed away Friday, Aug. 11, 2006, at his home in Bardwell.
He was a graduate of Adamson High School. On Jan. 1, 1967 he was married to Janice Bowman.
Preceded in death by his parents; he is survived by his wife Janice M. Powell of Bardwell; his sister and her husband Joyce and Bob Freudiger of Holly Lake, Tex.; his daughters and sons-in-law Paula and Marcos Lassos, Linda and Kem Ventrca, Sherry and Larry Davis all of Bardwell and Karen and Ron Hudson of Carrollton; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Interment followed in the Elm Branch Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary.
Billy Ray Goodwin

WAXAHACHIE – Funeral services for Billy Ray Goodwin were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, 2006 in The Foursquare Family Church in Waxahachie.
Born June 23, 1933 in Hillsboro, the son of Laura Bell Walker and James William Goodwin, he passed away Aug. 15, 2006 at his home.
Preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law Buster and Ester Armstrong; daughter Belinda Neal Goodwin Smith; sister Bertha Lee Warren and brother Charles Monroe Goodwin; he is survived by his wife of 51 years Maggie Goodwin; four daughters and sons-in-law Virginia and Bubba Barnett of Waxahachie, Laura and Bryan Jeffcoat of Melissa, Lisa and Jerry Coulston of Whitewright and LueAnn and Melvin Loggins of Sardis; 25 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers James Kenneth Goodwin and wife Wanda of Corsicana and William Glen Goodwin of Fort Worth; and sister Lola Mae Lee of Irving.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Waxahachie Funeral Home.

Born April 19, 1931 in Dallas, he passed away Thursday, Aug. 17, 2006 in his home after a short battle with emphy-sema.
He is surv-ived by his wife Wyn-ette Green; sons Larry and his wife Sherry Gre-en of Dunc-aville, Lon-nie Green of Birmingham, Ala. and Brian and his wife Tammye Green of Edmond, Okla.; daughter Marcie Green and Mike Baker of Plano; grandchildren Christie McGee, Michelle Durham, Allen Green, Brett Duff, Melina Duff, Sonia Mathis, Domenick Colonna, Julia Green, Dawn Green, Phillip Green, Dustin Green, Ashley Waggoner and Alex Reeves; and eight great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her children Kimberly Sue Nisbett and Jimmy Earl Nisbett; parents Eunice Viola Plunkett and Lee Roy Plunkett; brothers Ollie Ivey Plunkett, Wayne Plunkett and Rick-ey Lynn Plunkett; she is survived by her husband Joseph Doyle Nisbett; daughters Elizabeth A. and husband Mearl D. Bond of Gravett, Ark., Paula R. Rogers of Ferris and Tena M. Burge of Ennis; son Jonat-han and wife Sherri N. Nisbett of Seagoville; sisters Martha L.
