LA MARQUE - Ricky "Slick Rick" Roydell Sanders answered Gods call Tuesday, February 19, 2002, in Jacksonville, Florida at home. He was born to Sammie L. Long and the late Sonny King. He is united in the Holy Macedonia with his father, Sonny King. Grandmother, Artie Mae Sanders; grandfather, Nobel Johnigan, and aunt, Shirley Hunton.
Ricky was raised in Dallas and California until age 12. He resided with his mother in La Marque where he attended La Marque Public Schools until 1991. He was last employed at Wal-Mart until his illness.
