Corlis Faye Toombs Brandon
Corlis Faye Toombs Brandon was born Thursday, July 16, 1957 in Galveston, Texas to Louella Jones Wooten Toombs and the late Albert Toombs. Corlis passed from this life on June 27, 2003 in Rusk, Texas. She was a resident of Texas City, Texas. As a youth, she attended Progressive Baptist Church in Texas City. She was a 1975 graduate of La Marque High School, and an outstanding softball player and a former member of the Honeybees Softball Team.
Corlis also attended Sam Houston State University, University of Houston, and College of the Mainland, and was a member of the sorority Zeta Phi Beta. She was married
to Charlie Brandon.
Her father, brother, Harold Wooten and brother-in-law, Willard Smith, II preceded her in death.
Left with cherished memories are daughter, Chalcy Renee Brandon; mother, Louella Toombs; sister, Linda Smith of Texas City; nephew Wendell Wooten (Jackie) of Houston; nieces, Kimberely and Kiwanna Smith of Texas City; nephew, Willard Smith, III of El Paso; great-nieces, and Shelby Campbell of Houston and Makaila Means of Texas City.
Also left with cherished memories are aunts and uncles, Eva Mae and Howard Barron of La Marque; Margurite and Isaac Jones of North Little Rock, Ark.; Hattie Matlock of Houston; Angeline and Houston Wright of Oakland, California; Ora Lee Jammer of Sweeny, Texas; Wilma and Columbus Taylor of Houston; great-aunt, Gussie Mack of Brazoria; sister-in-law, Shirley White (Charles) of Texas City. Plus, a host of numerous relatives and friends.
Services were held, Thursday, July 3, 2003 at New Hope Baptist Church, La Marque. Rev. C. Yancy, pastor.
Rev. 21:4 "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."

HITCHCOCK - Homegoing Celebration, Friday, June 13, 2003, 11:00 AM, Glenn Dale Augustus Memorial Chapel. His remains were transported to Franklinton, LA. A graveside service was held at St. James cemetery, Franklinton June 14, 2003.
Mr. Comazell Bickham of Hitchcock, Texas died peacefully on June 6, 2003, at the age of 74. He Was the owner of Bickham' s Paint and Body Shop and Bickham' s Pool Hall of Hitchcock, Texas on Highway 6 for many years until he retired. Mr. Bickham was will known and highly respected by his customers and the community. Preceded by him in death are his parents, Marvin Bickham and Marie Dillon Bickham. Also preceded in death are two daughters, Sylvia Bickham and Celestine Bickham.
Mr. Bickham leaves a legacy of love, survived by his twelve children Thomas E. Bickham (Michi) of San Diego, CA, Carolyn Green of Dallas, TX, Beverly Martin (Terry) of New Orleans, LA, Comazell Bickham, Jr., New Orleans, LA, Richard Bickham of Ft.
