TEXAS CITY — Shirley Lee Franklin-Beyer, 45, of Texas City, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2004, at her residence in Texas City.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Monday, October 18, 2004, at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City with Pastor Rudy Rios officiating. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be Monday at the funeral home from noon until service time.
Mrs. Beyer was born August 24, 1959, in Fort Worth, Texas. She was a wonderful wife, caregiver, and friend. She loved everyone and will be greatly missed. She reunited in heaven with her father and mother, William Raymond Franklin, Sr. and Margie Lee Franklin.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph Louis Beyer III; daughters Tracy L. Dervin and husband Michael Dervin Sr. of Phoenix, Arizona, Jennifer L. Wendt and boyfriend Cody of Dickinson, Texas and Phillina of Texas City; and son Austin Rice; grandchildren, Michael Dervin Jr., Jaydn, Mya and Mikayla Dervin; her siblings, David John Franklin and wife Donna of Fort Worth, William Raymond Franklin, Jr. and wife Linda of La Marque, Peggy Moore and husband Steve of Crystal Beach and Carol DeVries and husband Charles of Texas City; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Anthony "Tony" Pike
SAN LEON — Anthony "Tony" Pike, 55, passed away October 13, 2004, in Austin, Texas. He was born September 26, 1949, in Rootsville, Georgia to Jewell and Wanda Pike. Tony served his country in the U. S. Air Force and was self-employed as a truck driver for many years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jewell and brother, Ronnie Pike.
Survivors include his mother, Wanda Brown; four daughters, Traci Pack, Amy Pike, Tammy Honaker and ToniKay Pike; his three brothers, Johnny Pike, Lloyd Chapman and Jay Isom and his eight grandchildren, Ashley, Cassandra, Alyssa, Brandon, Destiny, Herbie, Kyage and Tyler.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 17, 2004, at 2 p.m. at Gulf Haven Seventh Day Adventist Church, 10716 Sabo Road, Houston, Texas. Interment will follow at San Leon cemetery in San Leon, Texas Visitation will be Saturday, October 16, 2004, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson, Texas.

TEXAS CITY — Manuel Silva, Jr., 53, of Texas City, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2004, at U.T.M.B. in Galveston.
Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, October 18, 2004, at Mt. Olivet cemetery in Dickinson, with Father Tom Ponzini officiating. Visitation will be 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City. A Rosary will begin at 6 p.m.
Mr. Silva was born July 25, 1951, in Mercedes, Texas. He was a heavy equipment operator and an insurance adjuster. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army.
He is preceded in death by his father, Manuel Silva, Sr.
Survivors include his mother Hortencia Silva; sons Manuel Silva III and wife, Andrea and Johnathan Silva; daughter Misha LaBry and husband Donnie; brothers Sal Silva and Carlos Silva; sisters Gloria Stifflemire, Naomi Clifford and Connie Nolan; grandchildren, Joshua Cridland, Mandi Silva, Marc Silva, Jordan Garza, Cisco Silva and Courtney LaBry; special friends Rusty Lowe and Ray-Ray; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Reginald Darnell Bean
GALVESTON — Reginald Darnell Bean, 45, departed this life on Wednesday, October 13, 2004, at UTMB Hospital.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2004, beginning at 10 a.m., followed by funeral service at 11 a.m., in the chapel of at E. R. Johnson Family Mortuary with the Rev. Terrance Holmes, officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview cemetery.
Reginald was born July 28, 1959, in Galveston, Texas to Carl and Polly Ann Holmes Bean. A lifelong resident of Galveston, he attended public school in Galveston and was a 1977 graduate of Ball High School and also was employed as a laborer.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Polly Ann Bean and brother, Christopher Bean.
He leaves to cherish memories his father, Carl Edward Bean; brother, Rick Bean both of Galveston, sister, Carlene Knebel (Kurt) of Frisco, Texas; grandmother, Margie Mayes; niece, Lauren Michelle Knebel; nephew, Christian Adam Knebel; a host of uncle, aunts, other relative and friends.

TEXAS CITY — Paul D. Boles, Sr., 79, of Texas City, passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2004, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, October 16, 2004, at Emken-Linton Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Tollison officiating. Burial will follow at Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock. Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Boles was born May 27, 1925, in Winnsboro, Texas. He was a retired mechanic and member of the Machinist union. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Amalia "Mollie" Boles.
Survivors include his son, Paul D. Boles, Jr. and wife Debora; daughters Patricia Boles England and husband Richard and Shirley Sims and husband Eddie; grandchildren, Sarah Capestani, Melisa Capestani, Teresa Colson, Mario Aguirre, Brandon Aguirre and Dylan Aguirre; great-grandchildren Raley and Tannah Colson; and his sister Nadine Gilliam.

Minna A. Carter
LA MARQUE — Minna A. Carter, of La Marque passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2004, at her residence. She was a lifelong resident of La Marque, a consultant in gardening working for Wolfe Nursery, Jerry's Garden Center and Seaside Nursery for over twenty-two years. She had an extensive collection of seashells from all over the world that Mrs. Carter donated to Moody Gardens for every one to enjoy. She was always busy doing crafts or making special things for all of the special people in her life.
She is survived by her two daughters, Sherry Carter of La Marque, and Terry Davis and her husband Edwin of Santa Fe; brother, William Kirsten and his wife Fay of Dickinson; two grandsons Colb Davis and his wife Julie and Bryan Davis; two great grandchildren Natalie Davis and Emilee Davis.
In lieu of flowers Mrs. Carter requested that you donate a book to the La Marque Public Library.
At the request of Mrs. Carter there will not be any services held. Arrangements are under the direction of the James Crowder Funeral Home, La Marque.

SANTA FE — Henry Christian Dudley, Sr. ("Tiki"), 78, of Santa Fe passed away Wednesday, October 13th, 2004, at Clear Lake Regional Medical Center.
Memorial service will be 3 p.m., Saturday, October 16, 2004, at the Hitchcock Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on FM 2004 at Highway 6.
Henry was born June 8, 1926, in Galveston, Texas. He was a resident of Galveston County most of his life. He was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on December 23, 1967, and attended the Hitchcock congregation.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Ernest and Josephine Mary Dudley and 6 siblings. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Doris Mae Dudley of Santa Fe; two sons Chris (and Enola) of Angleton and James (and Sonya) of Houston; two daughters Kathy Gill of Etoile and Cynthia Schronk of Santa Fe; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Burial will follow at Forest Park East cemetery, Webster, Texas. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Saturday, October 16, 2004, at the church.
Minnie was born on June 14, 1926, to Eddie and Willena Porter Henley in Galveston, Texas. She loved to shop, cook and take care of her family. She was a loving wife, mother and aunt. She was a member of Compton Memorial Church of God In Christ of Galveston.
preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Rita Marie Hayes, Minnie is survived by her son, Jimmy Morgan of Galveston; foster sons, Freddie Blue of Texas City and Ronnie Blue, Jr., U.S.M.C. of Texas City, now serving in Afghanistan; foster daughter, Tonya Blue of Dallas; sisters, Elsia Lyons and Florence Mobley both of Galveston, Lois Blue of Texas City and Ardenia Morgan of Houston; favorite niece, Meriam Lewis of Texas City; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Derrick Lewis, Braxton Henley, Jr., Robert Jones, Jr., Freddie Blue, Dexter Mobley and Charles Little. Honorary pallbearers are Braxton Henley, George Henley, Herman Denson, Ronald Blue and Robert Hilton.
