Visitation will be held Thursday, October 7, 2004, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a Rosary to be held at 7 p.m. at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City, Louisiana. Tennessee, Lea Verret and Greg Oubre of Patterson, Louisiana, Troy Verret, Jude and Kat Verret, Holly and Phillip Manuel, Donald Jr. and Kellye Verret, Jamie and Joe Pasqua, all of Morgan City, Louisiana, Laura and Mark Duhon of San Marcos, Texas, and Bobby Latiolais of Galveston, Texas. Also surviving their Paw-Paw are seventeen grandchildren, Daniel, Justin, Eric, Julia, Hannah, Laura, Gregory, Tyler, Tanner, Tucker, Ryan, Chandler, Carter, Cheney, Taylor, Whitney and Wrenn. He is also survived by three siblings and their spouses, Pat and Susan Verret of Jacksonville, Florida, Prissy and Marty Martin of Morgan City, Louisiana, Kevin Verret of Amelia, Louisiana; and a host of nices and nephews.

SANTA FE — Elaine Clark, 72, passed away unexpectedly on October 4, 2004, at her residence in Santa Fe, Texas. She was born September 17, 1932, in Simsport, Louisiana to Malena Starkey and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Hitchcock, Texas. Elaine graduated from Ball High School in Galveston in 1950, and was employed as a purchasing agent retiring from Sisters of Charity-Christus Health (St. Mary’s Hospital).
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 7, 2004, at 10 a.m. at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson, Texas with Father John Kappe officiating. Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Park cemetery in Hitchcock, Texas. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 6, 2004, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
She leaves to cherish her memories her son, Michael J. Clark and wife, Susan; two grandchildren, Lacey Glover and husband, Todd of College Station, Texas and David Chrane of Alvin, Texas and two great grandchildren, Tyler and Jacie Glover, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be sadly missed by her best friend of over sixty years, Dorothy Kemp.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jessie L. Clark, mother, Malena Starkey and Godmother, Jean Gavin.
Serving as pallbearers will be James Clark, Donald Gavin II, Lisa Nebout, Willie Kemp, Hayes Lackey, Heath Lackey, and David Chrane. Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Gavin, Jack Gavin and Freda Sawyer.

BACLIFF — Evelyn Ayers, 93, passed away Monday, October 4, 2004, in League City, Texas. She was born January 7, 1911, in Porterville, Mississippi to Barney and Fannie Rigdon. She was of the Episcopal faith and a retired beautician.
Survivors include her son, C. J. O’Keefe and wife, Nita of San Leon, Texas; three grandchildren Adam, Cody and Heather and three great grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey L. Ayers and son, Mariel Barney O’Keefe.
Funeral services will be Friday, October 8, 2004, at 10 a.m. at Crowder Funeral Home with interment to follow at Mt. Olivet cemetery in Dickinson, Texas. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, October 7, 2004, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

GALVESTON — Jeffrey Charles Mosley, 49, was born into this world, January 14, 1955, to the union of J.C. Mosley and Tommie Jean Brooks.
Visitation will be held from 2 - 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 7, 2004, at Wynn Funeral Home, 602-32nd Street, Galveston, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 8, 2004, at St. John Baptist Church, 2917 Sealy, Galveston, Texas, with the Rev. Louis Simpson, officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview cemetery, Galveston, Texas.
At the time of his death he was the Operations Manager at Moody Gardens in Galveston, Texas. Jeffrey graduated from Ball High School in Galveston, Texas in the Class of 1974.
Jeffrey as he was affectionately known, was a true professional in his field of work. He was excellent at basketball, baseball, fishing, football. Everyone he encountered was well received by his wonderful smile. He was a comfort to anyone who met him. He had a way of making others feel at ease and was blessed with an out going personality.
Our beloved Jeffrey was preceded in death by his father, J.C. Mosley and grandparents. He leaves to mourn in his memory his mother, Tommie Jean Brooks; daughters, Jo'Lesia and Ja'Cobie Mosley; sons, Floyd Graves, Jeffrey Beverly, and Gerald Whitaker; step-son, Jay Stinson; siblings, Gary and Johnny Mosley, Stanley and Yolanda Mosley, Krystal Mosley; beloved, devoted and caring companion, Chandra Wingate; best friends: Charles and Roy; and a host of very special friends, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

GALVESTON — Funeral services for Lola Mae Hamilton, 80, of Galveston will be Thursday, October 7, 2004, at 11 a.m. at Zion Temple A.M.E. Church in Brazoria with the Rev. James Greene officiating. Burial will be at Mims cemetery in Brazoria.
She died Friday, October 1, 2004, at UTMB in Galveston.
She is survived by her son, Robert Hamilton, Sr. (Betty) of Galveston; devoted granddaughter, A'lesha Handy (Anthony); former daughter-in-law, Truly Hamilton of Texas City; 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Active pallbearers will be Larry Williams, Daniel Esther, Anthony Handy, Elridge Darby, Thomas Johnson, Anthony Dearmon and Ricky McIntosh.

Carl Eugene Sanders, Sr.
Carl Eugene Sanders, Sr., 85, of Galveston, passed away Saturday, October 2, 2004, at Gulf Health Care Center in Galveston.
Funeral Mass will be 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 5, 2004, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with Father John Paul Flajole, OFM, as Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Confederate cemetery. The family will receive visitors after 5:00 p.m., Monday, October 4th, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home.
Carl was born March 11, 1919, in Adair, Illinois. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and the Korean Conflict. After returning from the war, Carl worked as a foreman for the Galveston Wharves, where he served until his retirement with over 31 years of service. During his later years, Carl could often be found fishing on Lake Livingston with his sons or deer hunting at Rock Springs, also with his sons. He was a member of the KJT Society for over 50 years and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.
Carl will be remembered for his strong work ethic. He believed that a man's work ethic defined who he was, and Carl passed on that belief to his sons. His world centered around his wife, Otillie, who was his best friend; his sons, who were the apple of his eye and his character. Carl was always lending a hand to those in need, even those whom he did not know. He will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Maggie Sanders; wife of 51 years, Otillie Marie Sanders; sisters, Vera, Ruby, and Zephyr and brothers, Butch, Billy, and Russell.
He is survived by his sons, Carl Sanders, Jr. and wife, Kay, of Livingston, Michael Lee Sanders and wife, Robin, of Galveston, Patrick Sanders and Patricia, of Galveston; daughter, Mildred Cheatham, of Galveston; grandchildren, Rob, Tatiana, Samantha, Catelin, and Kyle James Sanders, and Brian and Jason Cheatham; and numerous other nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Pallbearers will be Carl Sanders, Jr., Michael Sanders, Patrick Sanders, Leonard Sarman, Stanley Sarman, and Rob Michael Sanders.
Honorary pallbearers will be Randy White, Robert Korth, and Delbert Williams.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Catherine Ann Juneau
Catherine Ann Juneau, 64, passed away at home in the loving presence of her family on October 1, 2004, ending her courageous battle with cancer.
Catherine graduated from Victoria High School in 1958, as part of its first senior class and received her bachelor's degree from Texas A&I in Kingsville. As a teacher, Catherine impacted the lives of many children over her 20 year career in both Victoria, Texas at Aloe Elementary and in Wilmington, North Carolina. Upon retirement two years ago, Catherine and her husband, Paul, moved to Galveston to be closer to their grandchildren. They recently purchased a summer home in Eagle Nest, New Mexico.
Catherine is predeceased by her father, Earl James Brooks. She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Paul Juneau, of Galveston; her mother, Elizabeth Fay Brooks, of Victoria; her sister, Betty Denham, of Port Lavaca; her daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Jimmy Jones, of Galveston; and her son and daughter-in-law, Charlie and Melissa Weldon, of Houston; four grandchildren, Travis Bailey and Elizabeth Jones, of Galveston and Hunter and Blake Weldon, of Houston.
A memorial service will be held at Malloy & Son Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 5th, at 3:30 p.m.
