Mark D. Glenn
Mark D. Glenn (Holmes), 39, of Texas City passed way Thursday, September 30, 2004, at Mainland Medical Center.
Mark was born November 15, 1964, to David and Ida Glenn. Mark was a resident of Texas City for 26 years and Santa Fe for 13 years. Mark was employed by BP for 15 years, the last six years as an Operation Supervisor and the other nine as an Operator on the RHU. Mark was the owner of Mainland Trailer Sales since 2001. He loved his customers, golf, fishing, camping, hunting and being with his family and friends.
Mark is survived by his wife, Lori Renee' Glenn, of Texas City; parents, David and Ida Glenn, of Santa Fe; father and mother-in-law, Jack and Sandra Oliver, of Dickinson; four sons, Joshua David Glenn, of Santa Fe, Steven Patrick Oliver, Johnathon Michael Oliver and Christopher Joseph Oliver, all of Texas City; brother, Scott W. Glenn, of Texas City and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation for family and friends will be Monday, October 4, 2004, from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m., at the James Crowder Funeral Home, in La Marque. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 5, 2004, in the Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Rudy Rios officiating. Burial to follow service at Mt. Olivet Catholic cemetery in Dickinson.

Norman "Bear" Mickens
GALVESTON — Norman "Bear" Mickens, 67, received his reward of eternal rest on Wednesday, September 29, 2004, at UTMB Hospital.
Visitation will begin Monday, October 4th, at 4 p.m., followed by a wake from 7-8 p.m., at E. R. Johnson Family Mortuary.
A service of remembrance will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 5, 2004, in the chapel of the E. R. Johnson Family Mortuary with Rev. Paul Wingate, officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview cemetery.
Norman was born April 11, 1937, in New Iberia, Louisiana to the late Edmond, Sr. and Virginia Deyon Mickens. A former resident of California, he has resided in Galveston several years and was a retired mechanic.
He leaves with precious memories of his life, devoted companion, Inez Petteway; sons, Amos, Edmond and Norman; stepchildren, Leonard Jones, James Petteway, Marcus Petteway, Linda Alliniece and Beatrice Jones; step mother, Lillie Mickens; numerous grandchildren; brothers, Don Mickens (Margaret), of Hitchcock, Charles Mickens, of Galveston; step brother, Lynroy Garner; sisters, Ruth Ann Body and Deborah Lynex, both of California; stepsisters, Linda Ferguson and Lillie Marie Handy; brother in law, Percy Saxton, Sr.; a host of nieces, nephews, other relative and friends.

William Charles "Chuck" Morton, III
DICKINSON — William Charles 'Chuck' Morton, III, passed away in Texas City, Texas on September 29, 2004. He was born April 21, 1955, in San Antonio, Texas to William and Rena Morton. He served during the Vietnam era with the United States Marine Corps. He owned Morton Marine Services as a welder and marine fabricator since 1993, and was an avid race car fan, hunter and fisherman.
A Memorial Gathering will be held Sunday, October 3, 2004, at 2 p.m. at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson, Texas with the service at 3 p.m.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Pamela Williams-Morton; mother, Rena and husband, Charles Rivers; grandfather, Rex Tullos; three sons, Ronald C. Morton, William C. Morton, IV, and Cole R. TEXAS CITY — Baldwin T. Peterson, 86, long time resident of Texas City, passed away Thursday, September 30, 2004, in Texas City.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Monday, October 4, 2004, at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City with Pastor Gary Veit officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet cemetery in Dickinson. Visitation will be 3 p.m. until 6 p.m., Sunday, October 3, 2004, at the funeral home.
Mr. Peterson was born September 12, 1918, in Seabrook, Texas. He was a retired chief bridge tender for the Texas Highway Dept. He was a life member of the V.F.W.
He is preceded in death by his brothers John, Carl and Frank Peterson, and his wives Helen Naomi and Witty Fay.
Survivors include his sons, Clifford Peterson and wife Ann and Charles Peterson; step-children, Jimmy Love and wife Barbara, Bobby D. Love and wife Delores, Deryl B. Love and wife Roniell, Thomas Keyton Love, Sandra L. Crisp and husband Bill, Velma Kaye Smith, Janet M. Duran and Mary L. WEBSTER — Anne Lynch, 68, passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2004 at Cornerstone Hospital in Webster, Texas after a long illness.
Anne, a longtime Galveston resident was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Delphia Johnston, husband of forty-six years William E. Lynch, Jr. and sister Billie Sue Glenn.
She is survived by her son James Lynch and fiancé Kristin Stehling of Galveston; her daughters Katherine Devall of Galveston, Barbara Harvell and her husband Pepper, Jr. of Galveston, Elizabeth Van Zandt and her husband Robert of Montgomery; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; many relatives and friends.
There will be no services as Anne had requested.

He was born September 5, 1944, in Houston, Texas to Theodore and Beulah Jankowski. He served his country in the U. S. Army during Vietnam; he was a meat cutter for Kroger’s and belonged to the local union of meat cutters; he also belonged to the VFW, Knights of Columbus and Eagles FOE #3789.

"Sugar Lump" as he was known, was born November 4, 1945, in Waller, Texas to the late Jesse, Sr. and Addie Walker Barnes. During his young adult years, he trained horses and was employed as a glass worker. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Jody Barnes.
Jesse is survived by three brothers, Herman Barnes (Louise), Robert Barnes (Jo) and Cecil Barnes; three sisters, Emma Washington (Leon), Matlene Finch and Jesse Mae Johnson (Tony); a host of nieces, nephews, other relative and friends.
