Emilio Victor Belluomini, Jr.
GALVESTON - Emilio Victor Belluomini,Jr., age 61, of Galveston died Wednesday, August 11, 2004, at his residence. Requiem mass will be held Monday, at 1 p.m., August 16, 2004, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, the Reverend Father John Bok, OFM celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic cemetery in Galveston under the direction of The Carnes Brothers Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Sunday, at the funeral home with a vigil for the deceased to be held at 6 p.m.
Mr. Belluomini was born January 30, 1943, in Galveston, Texas, to Emilio, Sr. and Gioele Celli Belluomini. He graduated from Notre Dame University in 1965 and Notre Dame Law School in 1968 earning his L.L.B. degree. Mr. Belluomini practiced law in Galveston for the firm of Markwell, Stubbs, Decker, Dalehite and Youngblood before enlisting in the U.S. Marine Corp. He served as Captain for the Judge Advocate General during the Vietnam War. Returning to practice law in Midland, Texas for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and the Resolution Trust Corporation in Washington, D.C., Louisiana and Texas. Mr. Belluomini retired from the RTC in 2001.
preceded in death by his father, Emilio Victor Belluomini, Sr. and his brother, David Corrado Belluomini; and infant nephew, James B. Stubbs, III. Mr. Belluomini is survived by his mother, Gioele Celli Belluomini; sister, Luisa Stubbs and husband, James of Memphis, Tennessee; nephew, Charles James Stubbs and wife, Deborah of Atlanta, Georgia; sister-in-law, Cynthia Belluomini Cappadona; and grandnieces, Caroline and Katie; and niece, Amy Michelle Belluomini.
Pallbearers will be Paul Dell’Osso, Renato Dell’Osso, Domenic Dell’Osso, Richard Mansfield, Frank Macaluso, and Michael Doherty. Honorary pallbearers are Luino Dell’Osso, Tom Daly and Lawrence Del Papa.

ARCOLA – Lexie Charles Williams, age 63, departed from this life on Wednesday, August 11, 2004, at John Sealy Hospital in Galveston.
Lexie was born February 15, 1941, in Cedar Lane, Texas, to Abraham Williams and Arie Hawkins. A "trucker" by trade for many years, he enjoyed fishing and watching wrestling. He was of the Baptist faith.
Lexie is survived by his wife of 40 years, Carolyn Williams; sons, Seautry Harkless of Galveston, and John Anthony Williams of Arcola; daughters, Savannah Taylor and husband, Richard of Galveston, Bonita Murphy and husband, Ray of Bay City, Rotonda Harkless of Texas City, Brenda Jackson and husband, Joe of La Marque, Leslie Amos and husband, Howard of La Marque, Paula Williams of Arcola, Cathy Justice of Texas City, and Shaun Williams of Texas City; brother, Roy Williams of Bay City; sisters, Mary Lou Williams of Bay City, Ester Williams of Bay City, Grace Williams of Cedar Lane, and Lavenia Williams of Houston; 14 grand children; 5 great grandchildren; aunt Cresela Washington of Cedar Lane; devoted cousins, Jimmy and Abraham Washington; best friends, Herman Biggers and Constanine Spiro; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

GALVESTON - Linda Marie Mills, 43, departed this life on Tuesday, August 10, 2004, at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, Texas.
Linda is a 1979 graduate of Ball High School in Galveston and completed clerical courses at Galveston Junior College. Linda worked at Sears in Galveston, and the Patient Finance Department of U.T.M.B. until she became disabled. She was well liked by everyone she met and by those who knew her personally. Linda will be missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include one daughter, LaShana Marie Mills; parents, Ellen Marie Mason and Hansen B. Mills, Sr. (Linda); brothers, Hansen B. Mills, Jr., Melvin Mills, Sr and wife, Cynthia, Lorenzo Murphy, all of Galveston, and Lance Mills of Maringouin, Louisiana; sisters, Carol Mills-Ridge and special friend, Richard Greene; Galine Mills, all of Galveston; Cynthia Baker and husband, Tim of Houston, Texas; Tia and Brittany Mills of Maringouin; grandmother, Mildred Love of Denver, Colorado; aunts, Alice and husband, Nitchell Clark of Dallas, Texas; Willia and husband, Sam Tribble of Denver; uncles, Melvin Mills of Houston, Texas; Crosby Mills of Chicago, Illinois. Mrs. Dorothy Lee Konzack Fraser
SANTA FE - Mrs. Dorothy Lee Konzack Fraser passed from this life Thursday afternoon, August 12, 2004, in Webster.
Born July 8, 1919, in Alta Loma to Fred and Lucile Konzack, Mrs. Fraser was a graduate of Santa Fe High School and a lifelong resident of Santa Fe. She was a homemaker and had been a member of St John's Lutheran Church (later Abiding Savior) and in her later years became a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She taught Sunday school at St. John's Lutheran and had been president of Women of the Church. Mrs. Fraser was a life member of the P. T. A., serving as president of both Santa Fe Elementary and High School P. T. A. and as room mother for many years. She was past president of the V. F. W. Post #5400 Ladies Auxiliary, member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #3789, president of Santa Fe Senior Citizens at Runge Park and was president during the move to the Thelma Webber Community Center. She volunteered as a Pink Lady at County Hospital and worked with the Santa Fe Little League.
Mrs. Fraser is survived by her daughter, Bobbie June Zaro and husband, Darrell "Bubba"; son, Thomas G. Fraser; brother, Herman Konzack and wife, Ruth; sisters, Viola Miller and Emma Gene Kotz; aunt, Viola Abbott (104 years old); 5 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 17, 2004, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Reverend John Kappe officiating. Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Park cemetery.

HITCHCOCK - Mr. Jose E. "Joe" Cermeno, Sr. went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ Thursday morning, August 12, 2004, at his home.
Born January 30, 1916, in Rock Springs, Mr. Cermeno had been a resident of Hitchcock since 1959, and was an active member of Iglesia Sinai Church in Galveston.
preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Rivera and brothers, Jesse, Frank, Robert, Mike and Louis Sierra, survivors include his wife of almost 64 years, Felicitas S. Cermeno of Hitchcock; son, Joe E. (Janie) Cermeno, Jr. of Houston; daughters, Virginia (David, Sr.) Sauceda of Hitchcock, Irene (Gilbert) Perez of Houston, Anita Jasso of Pearland; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
