GALVESTON — Mrs. Willia Kittling Muse, 82, received her reward of eternal rest on Monday, January 3, 2005, at UTMB.
Mrs. Willia was born July 11, 1922, in Jena, Louisiana to the Rev. Archie Kittling and Mattie Hatcher Kittling. She moved to Galveston with her family at an early age and was a 1940 graduate of Central High School. She was a retired cook with GISD and a loving mother and grandmother, who love to cook and bake.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 40 years, Ezekiel Muse, Jr.; brothers, John, Otis, Felton and (her twin) Willie Kittling.
She leaves to cherish her life, love and memories; two daughters, Mattie Margaret Muse of Galveston, Avis Jean Muse (Edward) of Atla, California; four sons, Otis McKinley Muse (Thomasene), Rodel Maceo Muse, Ezekiel Muse, III (Sandra) and James Calvin Muse all of Galveston; granddaughters, Latissa N. Muse, Na'Taria M Muse, Rhonda Muse Lynn James, Annese Joe; four grandsons, Keelan J. Muse, Anthony D. Muse, Eli Antoine, Jr.; eleven great grandchildren; extended family, Florence Hatcher, Beatrice Joe, Patricia Countee, Erma Francios, Wanda Faye Morgan, Carolyn Freeman, Luke Morgan, Betty Franklin, Denise Bryant and Esther Twine; a host of cousin, other relative and friends.
Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. on Sunday, January 9, 2005, followed by a quiet hour from 7 - 8 p.m.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, January 10, 2005, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Pastor Norris D. Burkley, Sr., officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview cemetery.

CORPUS CHRISTI — Kay Hall, 62, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on January 4, 2005, at Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo, Texas. She was born on January 27, 1942, in Texas City, Texas to Vincent and Lois Gates Edler. She was a resident of Annandale, Virginia for 33 years.
She is preceded in death by parents, Vincent Edler, Sr. and Lois Gates Edler and her two brothers, Joseph Edler, and Vincent Edler, Jr.
She is survived by her beloved husband: Sam L. Hall; her two daughters, Helen Katherine Hall Hershner and husband Steven and Mary Jo Hall Gall and husband Brendan; her granddaughter, Mariana Grace Hershner; and her two grandsons, Samuel Hayden Gall and Trevor Lewis Hershner.
A visitation service will start at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 10, 2005, with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. with Monsignor Eugene Cargill officiating at Crowder Funeral Home Chapel in Dickinson, Texas. Interment will follow at Forest Park East cemetery in Webster, Texas.

GALVESTON — Dr. Etta Mae Macdonald Davidson, 85, of Galveston, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2005, at her residence.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Monday, January 10, 2005, at Trinity Episcopal Church with Father Ron Pogue and the Rev. Ray Pinard officiating. Graveside services will be held Monday afternoon at Rosewood cemetery in Humble, Texas.
Dr. Macdonald had been a professor and researcher in Microbiology at UTMB since 1949, and later received a dual appointment in Dermatology. She retired in 1992, but continued to teach in the Dermatology Clinic until 2003.
The family will receive visitors from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., Sunday, January 9, 2005, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home.
Survivors include her daughter, Etta Davidson Brouillette and husband, Jeff, of Galveston; two grandchildren, Reed Elizabeth Fryar and Thomas Eric Fryar; and several cousins.

POPLARVILLE, MS. — Oscar M. Volkman, Jr., 81, of Poplarville, Mississippi, passed away Friday, January 7, 2005, at his residence. He was a pipefitter and retired from Monsanto Chemical in Texas City, Texas. He was a lifetime member of Local 211 and a veteran of WWII.
He is survived by his wife, Willie Mae Volkman of Poplarville; sons, Glen Volkman of Biloxi, Mississippi and Gary Volkman of Lakevillage, Arkansas; daughters, Carolyn Hartnett and Opal Clade both of Poplarville and Brenda Thibodeaux of Avondale, Louisiana; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 9, 2005, 2:30 p.m., at White Funeral Home Chapel in Poplarville, Mississippi, with the Rev. Robin Martin officiating. Burial will follow services at Poplarville City cemetery.

Mr. Cooper was born September 7, 1976, in Texas City. He was a heavy equipment operator for Trey Industries.

Survivors include his mother Therese Renee Walton of Texas City; father Jim C. Robert Charles Hall, Sr.
LA MARQUE — Robert C. Hall, Sr. was born September 30, 1919, in Sealy, Texas to Tommie Hall, Sr. and Susetta Hill Hall.
Robert, or "Big Daddy" as he was affectionately known, attended school in Sealy, Texas. He served in the military with the U. S. Army during World War II. After his tour of duty, he, his wife and children moved to La Marque, Texas, where he went to work for Amoco Oil Co. until his retirement, June 1, 1982.
He was a member of La Marque Masonic Lodge #373 F & AM Prince Hall Affiliation; the Harlem Men Social & Charity Club, and the Jackson Street Neighborhood Club. Robert was a longtime member of Greater Bell Zion Missionary Baptist Church where he sang with a Men's Quartet.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years, Ruby Williams Hall; father, Tommie Hall, Sr.; mother, Susetta Hall; sister, Lena Mae Maxwell and brothers, Nester Hall and Tommie Hall, Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memories his son, Robert Hall, Jr. (Elva) of La Marque; his daughter, Ruby Pointer Nellums (Jim) of Hitchcock; nine grandchildren, Josolyn Houston, Anthony (Cheryl), Tina (Danny), Rita, Lance and Otis Pointer, Cory Mathews, Deena and Jack Neal (Renee); thirteen great-grandchildren; a brother, Lawrence Hall (Daisie Mae) of Rosenberg; an uncle, Hubert Bolden, Jr. of Sealy; brothers-in-law, Curtis Williams, Willie Boy Williams of Dallas, Texas, Tommy Williams and Sammie Williams of Hobbs, New Mexico; sisters-in-law, Viola Williams and Laverne Williams of Dallas, Texas; Bernice Hall and Marie Hall both of San Francisco, California; special friends, Ollie and Sue Gentry of Houston and Cleveland and Eurlene Porter of Los Angeles, California; a special son, Ervin Rollins (Barbara) of Texas City; a special granddaughter, Jackie Hockless of Galveston; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 11, 2005, at the Mainland Funeral Home Chapel in La Marque. There will be no wake. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2005, at Greater Bell Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 5917 Carver in Texas City with Pastor Jerry B. Lee, Jr., officiating. Burial will follow at Grace Memorial Park cemetery in Hitchcock.
