Santa Fe, Texas — Ruth
Marie Anglin, 65, passed away, July 17, 2003. She was born October 13, 1937, in Cass County, Texas, to Thomas and Lena Cothren Nunn. Ruth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Graveside services will be held Monday, July 21, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Olivet cemetery in Dickinson, Texas. Visitation will be Sunday, July 20, 2003, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., in the Chapel of James Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson, Texas.
Ruth is survived by her husband, Gerald Anglin; two daughters, Martha Anglin and Kathy Oehlert; three sons, Ray, Tommy and Kenneth Anglin; two sisters, Joyce Shumate and Glenda Carlise; cousin, Anita Kellum; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Robert Constance Valdez, Jr., 29, of Frisco, Colorado, passed away on, July 15, 2003, in San Jose, Costa Rica.
Funeral services will be held, 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 22, 2003, at Emken-Linton Funeral Home (409-945-4444) in Texas City, Texas. Burial will follow at Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock, Texas. Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.
Robert (Robby to his family) was born, April 23, 1974, in Nassau Bay, Texas. Robert was a Texas City High School graduate, class of 1992. He attended Texas A & M University.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents; Raul and Concha Cano, Albert Valdez, Lucy and Johnny Sanchez, Max and Doris Tucker.
Survivors include his parents; father, Robert C. Valdez, Sr., mother, Concepcion and step-father, Joe D. Tucker; step-grandmother, Chavela Valdez, all of Texas City, Texas; sisters; Johan and husband, George Pena of Galveston, Texas and Dolores Garcia of Silverthorn, Colorado; brothers; Joe E. and wife, Melanie Tucker, of Clear Lake, Texas, Jeremy F. and wife, Amanda Tucker of Texas City, and A. J. Garcia, Jr. of Salinas, California.
Also surviving are nieces; Jennifer Pena, of Bayou Vista, Texas, Rachael Garcia of Texas City, Monika Serna, Elizabeth Pena, Tiffany Pena of Galveston; nephews: Chase and Trent Tucker of Clear Lake, Texas; uncles; Ruben and wife, Pat Cano of Santa Fe, Texas, Albert, Gene, Arnold, Sergio, Louis and Johnny Valdez, Arthur and wife, Sue Valdez, all of Texas City, Joe and wife, Sylvia Valdez, Don and Pat Tucker of Midland, Texas, Steve and Cheryl Tucker of Odessa, Texas; aunts; Minerva Cano of Idaho, Norma Saffold of Galveston, Nellie and husband, Wido Morales of Texas City, Elva and husband, Lupio Huizar of Alvin, Texas, Zelma and husband, Mark Salinas of La Porte, Texas, Aileene Perez of Texas City, Adelpha and husband, Jose Cepeda of Texas City, Sonia Valdez, Elizabeth Valdez and Linda Valdez of Texas City, Donna and Jerry Moffett of Rotan, Texas, Vicki and Mike Bernhardt of Clifton, Texas; numerous great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins.

Myrtle Lee Hardwick
TEXAS CITY — Mrs. Myrtle Lee Hardwick, passed from this life Friday afternoon, July 18, 2003, at home with her family by her side.
Born November 19, 1916, in Mt. Vernon, Texas, Mrs. Hardwick has been a longtime resident of the Galveston County area. She was a dedicated housewife and mother and had worked at Alta Loma Drug Store. Mrs. Hardwick was a member of First Baptist Church of Alta Loma where she served in the nursery for nine years and loved to cook.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Vance E. Ray and Irvin Hardwick; parents Claude and Bessie Lain Harris; one brother and one sister.
