GALVESTON - Eunice Christine Magliolo, 85, of Galveston, died Thursday, September 18, 2003, at her home.
Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Calvary Catholic cemetery under the direction of Malloy & Son Funeral Home.
Born October 2, 1917, in Galveston, Mrs. Magliolo was a loving wife of sixty-two years and a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Early in her life, Mrs. Magliolo worked as a bookkeeper and hairdresser before retiring to spend her remaining years with family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Magliolo; son, Jodie Magliolo; sisters, Lillian Andreason and Bernice Johnson; and brother, Raymond Zorn.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Leah Rae and George Marchand; daughter-in-law, Gaye Magliolo; four granddaughters: Jennifer Marchand Walmsley and husband, Stephen; Aimee Marchand Donnel and husband, Jon; Stacy Magliolo Franklin and husband, Stephen; Lisa Magliolo Farmer, M.D., and husband, Ted; and five great grandchildren: Drew and Erin Walmsley, Jack and Sam Franklin, and Thomas Farmer.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mrs. Magliolo's beloved granddaughters and their husbands.

John Douglas Foltz
John Douglas Foltz beloved son of Jean Foltz and the late James Foltz, Sr., entered into eternal rest on September 14, 2003. John was born on February 2, 1964, in Wilmington, Delaware and moved to Texas in 1981, with his parents.
John was devoted husband to his wife Tovana and a loving father to Samantha, Johnathan, and Martin. He is also survived by his brother James A. Foltz and wife Anne; nephews Steven and Brian and grandmother Eva Britt of Delaware.
John was member of Lakewood United Methodist Church and was a Technical Engineer with Hewlett Packard.
Visitation will be Friday, September 19, 2003, from 6-8 p.m. at Crowder Funeral Home, 111 E. Medical Center Blvd., Webster, Texas 77598. A funeral service will follow on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the chapel at Crowder Funeral Home. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet cemetery in Dickinson, Texas.

Sterling "Buggy" Dawson, Jr.
GALVESTON - Sterling "Buggy" Dawson, Jr., 62, departed this life on Wednesday, September 17, 2003, at Mainland Medical Center, Texas City, Texas.
Funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 22, 2003, at the Chapel of Fields Funeral Services with Rev. Thadius Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview cemetery in Galveston.
Visitation will take place from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, September 21, 2003, at the chapel of Fields Funeral Services.
Mr. Dawson was born July 14, 1941 in Eagle Lake, Texas. He was a disabled cab driver, an avid domino player and a 1960, graduate of Central High School.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sterling Sr., and Edna Lott Dawson; and an aunt, Vera Lee Dawson.
He leaves with cherished memories, his wife, Gloria Bell; son, Sterling Dawson, III; grandchildren Alonnie Jean Denton and Davonte Raeshone Dawson; devoted cousin, Carol Lynn Osborne; devoted friends Martha Bogan, Chyrel Pines, Carol Sue Jones, Clara Allen and Bridgett Dawson; a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.

KERRVILLE - Mrs. Bennie L. Lee, 68, of Kerrville, passed away Friday, September 19, 2003, at a local hospital. She was born October 1, 1934, in Galveston, Texas, to Walter L. Blackburn and Virginia (Stanley) Blackburn.
Bennie was a checker at Wal-Mart and of the Lutheran faith.
She is survived by her two daughters, Suzi Hunter of Australia and Dawn Lee of Kerrville; son, Donald Lee of Galveston; sister, Ann Gately of Galveston; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
No services will be held.

James was born on August 6, 1930, in Morrow, Louisiana to the union of Ed and Melissa Jones Smith. He was a longtime resident of Galveston and was a retired longshoreman with Local 1504.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Gus and Edward Smith; sisters, Dorothy Smith, Bessie Myers, Lena Harris and Olivia Sims.
