TEXAS CITY - Norma E. Simmons, a loving mother and grandmother, 79, of Texas City, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2003, at Mainland Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, September 24, 2003, at Emken-Linton Funeral Home with Pastor Carl Strickland officiating. Burial will follow at Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock. Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Simmons was born July 18, 1924, in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was a homemaker and member of the Missionary Baptist Church of Texas City.
She is preceded in death by her husband, George Morris Simmons.
Survivors include sons Neal Simmons and wife, Susan, and Billy G. Simmons and wife, Sandra, all of Texas City; daughters Patricia A. Norris and husband, John, of Pasadena, Texas and Carol S. Dawson and husband, George, of Henderson, Texas; sister Hazel Heiman; and brother Marvin Brown; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Simmons, Steven Simmons, Brian Simmons, Kevin Simmons, Jimmy Simmons and Sonny Reeves.

TEXAS CITY - Mildred Louise Williams, 85, of Texas City passed away Saturday, September 20, 2003, at Mainland Medical Center in Texas City.
Graveside funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 23, 2003, at Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock under the direction of Emken-Linton Funeral Home.
Mrs. Williams was born August 2, 1918, in Normangee, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Texas City.
She is preceded in death by her husband, C.M. "Bill" Williams.
Survivors include her daughters Sherry L. Merryman and husband Darrell of Texas City amd Barbara Ann Argo and husband Charles of Ardmore, Oklahoma; brother, Joe R. Crow of Fulsher, Texas; her grandchildren: Darren Merryman and wife Charis of Dickinson, Texas, Kristen Gates and husband John of Friendswood, Texas, Gary Argo and Stephen Argo both of Ardmore, Oklahoma; nieces Sandra Sindel and husband Jerry of Richmond, Texas and Patsy Crow of Richmond, Texas; one great-niece, Pam Rogers; one great-nephew, Colin Sindel; and special friend, Jean Eales.

DICKINSON - Jerome Wiley Morris, Jr., 77, passed away at his home in the presence of his family on Sunday, September 14, 2003, at 1:50 p.m. in Dickinson, Texas.
He was born on November 27, 1925, in Mammoth Springs, Arkansas to his parents, Jerome and Lorene Morris.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome W. Morris, Sr. and Lorene May (Davis) Morris; Alpha Agnes Morris; a brother, William (Bill) Morris; and two daughters, Sharon and Diana Morris.
He is survived by his beloved wife of fifty-three years, Bonnie Joyce (Morgan) Morris; his daughters, Patricia (Rusty) Sallee and husband Wayne, Rebecca Muth and husband Gary; sons, Timothy (T.J.) Morris and wife Rita, Patrick Morris and wife Alice; nine grandchildren, Vickie Blassingame-Sallee-Unerfusser and husband Zachary (Zack), Wayne Alan, Cody, Dani, Shaun, E.J., Amber, Mercedyz, Morgan, and one great granddaughter, Winter; his Uncle Hershel and Aunt Rosa Lee Davis; a sister, Anna Lee Barker and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service for Jerome Wiley Morris, Jr., will be held Saturday, September 27, 2003, at 1p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1950 Hwy. 3 in Dickinson, Texas.

Winston "Bill" Richard Williams
LEAGUE CITY - Winston "Bill" Richard Williams, 67, of League City passed away on September 23, 2003, at his home. Bill was a retired, twenty year veteran of the U.S. Air Force and worked in Real Estate for thirty years, during which time he owned Excel Real Estate in League City.
He was active in the League City Lions club, American Legion and VFW.
Surviving Bill are his wife Ernestine; daughters, Victoria Norman and husband Steven of League City, and Cindy Williams of Pheonix, Arizona; son, Jeffrey Williams of League City; sister, Rose Williams; and grandchildren, Alex King and Cynthia Litton. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Savanna McGee, Xavier Lehew, Elijah Norman, and Kade Norman.
Visitation will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 5p.m. – 8p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home in Webster on Thursday morning at 10 a.m. with interment to follow at Forest Park East cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Angelo Arolfo, A.L. Luprete, Mike Lacy, Danny Hilburn, Ray Williams, and Larry Corona. Honorary pallbearers will be Judge E.B. Webb, Leo Lakovich, Walter Habluetzel, and E.J. Brockman.

August 9, 1960 - September 21, 2003
Russell Anthony Belcher was born in Houston, Texas to Floyd and Betty Belcher. He was a 1979, graduate of Houston's John H. Reagan High School and a four-year football letterman at Sam Houston State University.
In 2000, Russell founded "Big Daddy's Smokehouse and Grill" in Bayou Vista, Texas and the Lake Charles, Louisiana location in 2003.
His larger-than-life, robust and humorous personality was a defining factor in his success. When Russell wasn't working, he could be found under the Galveston Causeway fishing with friends. A man of integrity and loyalty, he was dearly loved by his family, friends and co-workers who will cherish many happy memories of him.
Russell was preceded in death by his father, Floyd L. Belcher. He is survived by his loving wife and companion of thirty-one years, Sandi; his adoring daughter, Hali, who he was so very proud of for all her accomplishments; mother, Betty Ruth Belcher; brothers, Val and Gary Belcher; best friend, Doug Day; mother and father-in-law, Ruth and Chester Massey; sisters and brothers-in-law, Terri Belcher, Nancy and Daniel B. Ramsey Jr., Steve and Kimberly Meyer, Debi and Bill Young, Conni and Brady Gage; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and life-long friends.
The family received friends from 6-9 p.m., Tuesday, September 23, 2003. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2003. Both services to be held at Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Hwy. 6, Hitchcock, Texas.
