HITCHCOCK - Lucille Virginia Pearson, 86, (30 days shy of 87) of Hitchcock passed away Monday, October 6, 2003, at her residence. Lucille was born November 7, 1916, in Stockman, Texas. She was married
to Peter Julius Pearson for sixty -five years. They had three children born to them, a son Peter Pearson, Jr. and two daughters Kathy Hayden and Lillian Howard.
Lucille is preceded in death by her father and mother; husband Peter Pearson, son Peter Jr., granddaughter Glenda Ray Howard, brothers Alvin, Otis and James McDonald, sister Dorothy Murchison and a special sister-in-law Ruth McDonald.
She is survived by her two daughters Kathy Hayden, Lillian Howard and husband Nelson; sister Loraine Vyvial and husband Allen; grandsons Ronnie and wife Becky Crisp, Mike Crisp, Richard and wife Annie Crisp, Kenneth Howard and wife Karen; granddaughters Sandy Crisp, Brenda Menotti and husband Robert, Linda Ardrey and husband Phil; great-grandchildren Amanda Wasinger, Jaime Garza and husband Ty, Katie Menotti, Lindsey and Karlyn Howard, Robbie Menotti, Austin and Arlton Adrey and Dail Crisp; great-great-grandchildren Erick Wasinger and Cheyenne Crisp and a new great-great-grandson Tyson Wade Garza who is due in December. She has many nieces and nephews that came to her house that were spoiled right along as well as her grand kids.
Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, October 7, 2003 from 5p.m. until 8p.m. at the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2003, in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial to follow at Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock, with Rev. Larry Lamb officiating.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons Ronnie, Mike and Richard Crisp, Kenneth Howard, Robbie Menotti and Wayne Vyvial.
Many thanks to Dr. Lee Hutton, Dr. Suzanne Schafer and Dr. Theresa Rameden, medical personnel from Mainland Regional Hospital and Denison Home Care. Special thanks to Barbara Simpson and Janet Sumner for the caring and loving care they gave to our mother. She had two very special nieces, Karen McDonald Corn and Barbara Murchison Gardenhire that were always there for her.

GALVESTON - Kevin Dwane Nusbaum, 40, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2003, at The University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston. A Chapel Service will be held at 7p.m., Thursday, October 8, 2003, in the Memorial Room of Broadway Funeral Home, Galveston, with Fr. John Paul Flajole, O.F.M. of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Galveston, officiating. Mr. Nusbaum’s family will be receiving friends for visitation at the funeral home Thursday evening from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.
Kevin was born in Baltimore, Maryland July 12, 1963. In the last year he relocated to the island and was an experienced plumber with Lister Plumbing. He was a kind and caring young man, very loving and dedicated to his family. A talented carpenter, also, Kevin will be remembered for his awesome woodworking and carpentry talents. When time would allow, he enjoyed a good day of fishing. A pleasure to be around, Kevin was always upbeat and outgoing. His free-spirited personality was such that when around him, you always knew that you were in his presence. He will always be remembered in the hearts of those that knew him and loved him.
Kevin is predeceased in death by his mother, Patricia Marshall.
He leaves behind many wonderful memories with his loving family, fiancé and loving companion, Anastasia "Stacy" Robbins of Galveston; his daughter, Tara Nicole Robbins, also of Galveston; sister, Dorothy Marie Carmichael and husband, Harold of Palestine, Texas; and his only brother, Ralph G. Nusbaum, Sr. and wife, Rosemary of Galveston, Texas. Sharing in his loss, also, are Kevin’s nieces and nephews, Ralph Nusbaum, Jr., Rose Nusbaum, Crystal Dawn Whitmire-Goff, Candace Marie Whitmire and John Wilson Whitmire, Jr.; his great-niece, Patricia Marie Sky Goff, a host of other relatives and many good friends. He will be sadly missed.

Latrice was born October 9, 1984, in Galveston to Clifford and Shelia Booth Archia. She attended La Marque High School and the Texas City Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She departed this life Sunday, November 30, 2003, at her home at the age of 19.

SYKESVILLE, MARYLAND - Anne Scott Agnew, 79, of Sykesville, Maryland, and formerly of Dickinson, Texas, passed away on November 15, 2003.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-nine years, Robert K.T. Agnew; son William Agnew; daughter Laurie Thompson and husband Matt; son Daniel Agnew and wife Lisa; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Anne was an avid and accomplished golfer and tennis player and spent countless hours pursuing those interests with her husband and friends.
A memorial mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sykesville, Maryland, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2003. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the St. Joseph's Building Fund, St. Joseph Catholic Church, P.O. Box 384, Sykesville, M.D. 21784.

FRIENDSWOOD - William Lorn Payette, 80, of Friendswood, passed away December 1, 2003, after a struggle with cancer. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army. Bill retired from HISD after thirty-nine years of service and from Pennzoil after ten years of service.
He was preceded in death by his son, Alan Lee Payette and daughter, Linda Sue Payette Garcia.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Gloria Armstrong Payette; daughter, Carol Payette; granddaughter, Monica; great grandson, Gerry; great granddaughter, Kristen; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
