LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - Mr. Phil Collins Sr. was born December 12, 1942, in Morgan City, Louisiana and departed this life, Sunday, November 16, 2003, in Texas City, Texas.
On Thursday, November 20, 2003, at 11 a.m., family members and friends will gather at the Mainland Funeral Home Chapel in La Marque to celebrate his life. Rev. William L. Randall Jr. will officiate.

Narie Haymon
PITKIN, LOUISIANA - Funeral services for Narie Haymon, 86, of Pitkin, Louisiana, will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 19, 2003, in Grave Hill Baptist Church in Cravens, Louisiana, with Rev. Arlen Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Branch cemetery in Pitkin, Louisiana, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Mr. Haymon passed away Monday, November 17, 2003, in the Pine Haven Nursing Home in Rosepine, Louisiana after a long illness.
Mr. Haymon was born and raised in Vernon Parish, Louisiana and lived most of his life in Texas until he retired from Monsanto Chemical Company of Texas City, Texas in 1966. He was a pipefitter by trade and also retired from the Steamfitters and Pipefitters Local 106 of Lake Charles, Louisiana. He was a member of Gravel Hill Baptist Church in Cravens, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris McAnulty Haymon on June 14, 2003. Mr. Haymon served in the US Army Air Corp, Sea Bees and the US Navy and he was a veteran of World War II
Mr. Haymon is survived by daughters, Nina Marlin (spouse, Kenneth) of Pitkin, Louisiana, Barbara Baird (spouse, Don) of Colmesneil, Texas, Lorena Martin (spouse, Lanny) of Texas City, Texas, June Boughton (spouse, Douglas) of Oakdale, Louisiana, Shirley Wilson (spouse, Hubert) of Beaumont, Texas; brother, James "Kirby" Haymon of Many, Louisiana; sisters, Delmer James of La Marque, Texas, Delcie Tilley Brunk of Anacoco, Louisiana; fourteen grandchildren; and thirty-four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 19, 2003, from 12:30 p.m. until service time in the church.

Margaret E. Bishop
LA MARQUE - Margaret E. Bishop, 79, of La Marque passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2003, at her residence. She was born June 29, 1924, in Lincoln, Nebraska. Mrs. Bishop was a resident of Texas City and La Marque since 1954, and a member of the First Baptist Church of La Marque.
She is survived by her husband Ted Bishop Sr. of La Marque, Texas; and her two sons Ted Bishop Jr. of Austin, Texas and Paul Daniel Rogers of La Marque, Texas; one granddaughter Dana Rogers of Tiki Island, Texas; and one great granddaughter Madisen Devries also from Tiki Island, Texas.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 20, 2003, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque. Funeral services will be Thursday November 20, 2003, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. There will be a private interment at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock, Texas with Pastor David Smith officiating.

Lillian Pauline Draper
TEXAS CITY - Lillian Pauline Draper, 96, passed away November 14, 2003, in Texas City, Texas. She was born June 29, 1907, to Robert and Evalina Burnett Cox in Dallas, Texas. Residing in Bayview, Texas she was a homemaker and a member of the Methodist faith.
Services will be Wednesday, November 19, 2003, at 11:30 a.m. in the Chapel of James Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson, Texas. Burial will be at Forest Park Lawndale, Houston, Texas.
She is survived by two daughters Ruth Isabel Bowman of Katy, Texas, Dorothy Louise Erickson of Bedford, Texas; and two sons, Roy Lee Robertson of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, William Fred Robertson of Stephenville, Texas, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Landrus J. "Bushwick" Stevens, Jr.
GALVESTON - Landrus James "Bushwick" Stevens, Jr., 37, entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 17, 2003, at UTMB Hospital, Galveston, Texas.
Mr. Stevens was born July 22, 1966, in Galveston, Texas, and attended catholic and public schools in Galveston. James was most proud of his drawing skills and having been a member of the Ball High ROTC.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Laura Mae Davis; and great grandmother, Rosena Smith.
Survivors include his mother, Linda Billingsley; twin daughter and son, LanDreika and LanDre Lee; sister, Passion Hayes (Darryl); grandfather, Leonard Davis; devoted aunts, Elaine Stinson (Leon) and Betty Perkins; special friends, James Richards and Mark Askew; a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will begin at 7 p.m., and a memorial service will be held from 8 p.m.-9 p.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2003, at the chapel of Fields Funeral Services, with Rev. Harold Block officiating.
There will be a private burial.
At the family's request, a reception is scheduled for a later date.

James R. "Big Jim" Hillebrand
LA MARQUE - James R. Hillebrand, 59, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2003, at his residence in La Marque. A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 23, 2003 at 8 a.m. at the Texas City Dyke, First Lady's Pavilion, with inspirational acoustical guitar music will be provided by Richard Zepeda of La Marque.
He was born November 30, 1943, in Kansas City, Kansas. He attended school in Pasadena, Texas. He proudly served in the U. S. Navy. He was retired from Mainland Machine and Grinding in Texas City.
He was an avid fisherman and golfer. He enjoyed being with his many friends at the Melody and Murphy's on Main.
He was preceeded in death by his father, Denzel Hillebrand and nephew, Doug Evans. He is survived by his mother, Mary Williams, sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Oliver Mains; sons Will Hillebrand and Denny Hillebrand; daughter Angel Hillebrand and son-in-law, Kenny Foster; nephew Steven Mains; nieces Kelly Mears and Kim Klain; grandchildren, Brandon Dillon, Kristopher, Derrick and Dakota.
His family would like to thank the EMT's, medical investigator; John Florence and especially La Marque Police Officers D. Montanez and K. Currington for their comfort, courteousness and professionalism they all showed in performing their duties. Thank you.
Carolyn Sue Kitchen Waters
GALVESTON - Carolyn Sue Kitchen Waters, 60, passed away November 16, 2003. It was her wish to be cremated. There will be no services.
Carolyn was born September 6, 1943, and graduated from Ball High School and Galveston College. She received her masters from Austin where she earned her nursing degree.
She is preceded in death by her husband, David Lee Waters Sr.
She is survived by her son, David Lee Waters Jr.; her daughter Gayla M. Teel and husband Randall Patterson; two grandchildren Jayce and Bryce; sister Helen Duclose and husband Robert from Houston, nieces and nephews along with other relatives and friends.
We will miss her because she was a kind and loving person who always went out of her way for anyone.

Carly Elise Soares
LEAGUE CITY- Carly Elise Soares, passed away November 16, 2003, she was born April 5, 1996, in Nassau Bay. She attended Ferguson Elementary in League City.
She is survived by her parents, Carlos Soares and Cathy Modaro; brother, Michael Edward Soares; grandparents, Miguel and Leda Soares and Don and Irene Modaro and numerous other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2003, at 4 p.m. at Unity Church of the Bay Area, 2020 Anders Lane, Kemah, Texas 77565, 281-334-9114 with Reverend Stephen P. Horn officiating. Please bring a beautiful flower in celebration of Carly.
