LAMARQUE — Mrs. Gracie F. "Maw Maw" Sanders, passed from this life Friday morning in Galveston. Born January 17, 1944, in Jasper, Mrs. Sanders had been a long-time Galveston County resident, having lived in LaMarque for the last 15 years. She was a homemaker who loved crocheting, reading romance novels, watching movies, and was known to many by her CB handle, "Bannie Hen".
preceded in death by her daughter, Becky Downey, survivors include her husband, Charles W. "Rambo" Sanders; daughter, Robyn F. Fuerst, of Santa Fe; son, Alan DeWayne Sanders and wife, Teresa, of Wilmington, North Carolina; son, Jeffery Warren Sanders of Ft. Stockton; daughter, Brenda Diane Wilcox and husband, Robert J., of Wilmington, North Carolina; and grandchildren, Vanessa Rose Sanders, Eric Joseph Sanders, Destiny Lynn Emry, Michael Fuerst, Robert Jeffrey "R. J." Sanders, Devan Scott Emry, Amanda Emry, Brandon Jacob Wilcox, Kyle Vernon, Kevin Vernon, and numerous other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, with Pastor John Newton officiating. Interment will follow at Galveston Memorial Park cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Bobby Wayne Emry, John Michael Fuerst, Hersel David Phillips, Alan DeWayne Sanders, Eric Sanders, and Jeffery Warren Sanders.
Honorary Casketbearer will be Robert Joel Wilcox.

GALVESTON – Francis Albert Neal, age 95, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2003, at UTMB Hospital. He was born on December 2, 1907, in Montgomery County, Mississippi. He was the owner of self-service laundries and a furniture business in Kosciusko, Mississippi. He moved to Galveston in 1989. He was a member of Moody Memorial First United Methodist Church, Agape Sunday School Class, Newcomers Bridge Club of Galveston, La Marque Country Club Bridge Club and the Friends of the Rosenberg Library. He volunteered for GISD and Rosenberg Library.
He is survived by his daughters, Joan Hyatt and husband, John, of Galveston, Texas and Betty McFall and husband, Larry, of Franklin, Tennesse; son, Edward M. Neal and wife, Sue, of Memphis, Tennesse; grandchildren, David Hyatt, Christine Hyatt-Boyd, Michael McFall, Mark McFall, Amy McFall, Steve Neal, Melissa Bermudez, Andrew Neal and Amanda Gouch; great-grandchildren, Anna Hyatt, Francisco Neal, Rex Neal and Morgan McFall.
Graveside services were held on Saturday, November 29, 2003, at 11:30 a.m., at Parkway cemetery, in Kosciusko, Mississippi.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2003, at 3:00 p.m., at J. Levy & Bro. Funeral Home, with Reverend Raymond Pinard officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.

GALVESTON — Felipe Angel Rodriguez, 84, died November 27, 2003, at John Sealy Hospital, in Galveston, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 2, 2003, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 14th & Broadway, Galveston, Texas, with Father Frank Fabj, celebrant. Graveside services will follow at Houston National cemetery in Houston, Texas. Visitation will be held Monday, December 1, 2003, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Carnes Brothers Funeral Home, 1201 Tremont, Galveston, Texas with a Rosary and Vigil to be held at 6:00 p.m., under the direction of Deacon John Pistone.
Mr. Rodriguez was born March 26, 1919, to Pedro and Felectia Aguila Rodriguez, in Ganado, Texas. He served in the United States Army during WW II, earning his honorable discharge on Christmas Eve in 1948. He was well known for his repair of bicycles, TV's and radios. He loved to garden, play his accordion and dance. He was dedicated to the care of his ever growing family. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Helga Barron, Mr. Rodriguez is survived by his wife of 55 years, Erika Helen Rodriguez of Galveston; daughters, Mary Ann Surprise and husband, Gary, of Bridgeport, New York, Rosa Lee Aguilar and husband, Tony, of Wharton, Texas, Jeannie Mabe and husband, Mel, of Syracuse, New York, Patsi Castano, of Santa Fe, Corinna Garcia and husband, Pete, Crystal Woodward and Sally Rutkowski, all of Galveston; sons, Eric Rodriguez and wife, Freida, of Freddiesville, Texas, Pete Rodriguez, of Galveston and Henry Rodriguez, of La Marque; brother, G. A. Rodriguez, of Eagle Lake, Texas; 33 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Gilpin, Robert Perez, Eric Rodriguez, Henry Rodriguez, Crystal Woodward and Corinna Garcia.
