HITCHCOCK - Harry Donald Jensen, Sr., 76, died November 29, 2003, at his residence in Hitchcock, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, December 3, 2003, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1224 Cedar, La Marque, Texas, with Msgr. Joseph Culver, celebrant. Graveside services will follow at Grace Memorial Park cemetery in Hitchcock, Texas. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 2, 2003, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home, 1201 Tremont, Galveston, Texas with a Vigil to be held at 6 p.m.
Harry was born July 12, 1927, to Harry and Jessie Miller Jensen in El Campo, Texas. He had worked for the Dickson Weatherproof Nail Co. for thirteen years. He then was a mechanic with the shoregang with G & H Towing Company, retiring after twenty-five years of dedicated service. He was following his plans for retirement with camping, fishing and traveling with his wife, Augustine when he became ill. He was a member of the Queen of Peace Catholic Church of La Marque.
preceded in death by his parents, Harry is survived by his wife of fifty years, Tenie Jensen of Hitchcock; daughters, Joyce Crow and husband, Jerry of Texas City and Madeline Gravel and husband, James of Dickinson; sons, Harry Jensen, Jr. of Dickinson and Nicolo Jensen and wife, Cynthia of Alvin; granddaughters, Jeri Lynn Patterson of Texas City and Lauren Jensen of Alvin; great granddaughter, Aubrey Patterson of Texas City; sisters, Joyce Horton and husband, Eugene of El Campo and Norma Hensley of Pinehurst, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Nicole (Nicky) Achille, Tom Glover, Jr., Ronnie Hensley, Norman Horton, John King, Sr., and Bebe Snell.

Dawson Lee "Buddy" Claiborne
WACO, TEXAS - Dawson Lee "Buddy" Claiborne, 63, passed away on November 12, 2003, in Waco. He was born November 25, 1939, in Mansfield, Louisiana to Landry Caliborne Sr., and Bettie Atkins Claiborne. He attended public schools in Galveston.
Services were held in Waco on November 22, 2003, under the direction of W. H. Littles and Sons Mortuary, with Rev. A. C. Tryon of Sunlight Baptist Church in Galveston officiating.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Betty Baker and two brothers Vodis Claiborne and Landry Claiborne Jr.
He is survived by one brother Alford Claiborne and wife Rita of San Diego, California; three sisters, Helen Simmons, Hosea Waire, both of Galveston and Edith Claiborne of Germany and a host of nephews, nieces and other friends and relatives.
Adam "Roy" Falcon
LAKE JACKSON, TEXAS - Adam "Roy" Falcon, 69, of Lake Jackson, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2003, at Brazosport Memorial Hospital. He was born March 28, 1934, in Angleton, Texas. Mr. Falcon, formerly of Galveston had also been a resident of Texas City for twenty years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the National Guard.
Mr. Falcon is survived by one daughter, Rachel Falcon; one son, Mario Falcon; one sister, Eva Falcon Guzman of Texas City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 2, 2003, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a vigil at 7 p.m. with Deacon Harold Eskew, at the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque. Graveside services will be Wednesday, December 3, 2003, at 10 a.m. at Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock, Texas, with Father Antonio Perez officiating.
Pallbearers will be Ruben F. Guzman, Max Guzman, Jerry Rodriguez, Larry Mayeux, Mingo Guzman and Raymond Guzman, Jr., and Honorary Pallbearer will be Benito Guzman.

Thomas E. Bors, passed away November 30, 2003, at the age of 56. Tom was born December 31, 1946, in York, Nebraska to Joe and Jean Bors.
He is preceded in death by his father, Joe Bors.
Survivors include his wife, Janet; daughters, Traci Lynn Oswald and Terri Leigh Morgan; granddaughter, Allison Oswald; mother Jean Bors; brother James Bors; sisters Ellen Stewart and Mary Anne Fitzpatrick; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Richard and Sue Wilson; close friend, James Oswald; many loving nieces and nephews, his beloved pets, Fa Ying, Josie, Sukie, and Samantha, and other family and friends.

SANTA FE - Lillian Mauldin of Santa Fe, Texas passed away at the age of 94 in Mainland Hospital on Saturday, November 15, 2003.
Lillian is survived by a son, R. J. Bolton; sister Pearl Moss; brother, Roy Kitchen; nieces Carol Kaizer and Lucille Scott; granddaughter Deborah Hodges; brother-in-law Alfred Jamison, close friends Shirley Weigel, Sis. Borden, Callie King, Mary Kimble Renita Sheppard, Charles Lightfoot and Joyce Tidwell.
Services were held Friday, November 21, 2003, at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson with Pastor L. M. Jeane officiating. Burial was at Forest Park East cemetery in Webster, Texas.

TEXAS CITY - Memorial Services for Ms. Latrice Maria Archia will be held at 6 p.m., Thursday, December 4, 2003, at the Mainland Funeral Home Chapel in La Marque.
Latrice was born October 9, 1984, in Galveston to Clifford and Shelia Booth Archia. She attended La Marque High School and the Texas City Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She departed this life Sunday, November 30, 2003, at her home at the age of 19.
Left to cherish her memories are her parents, Clifford and Shelia Archia of Texas City; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members and friends.

Horace Edward "Ace" Wheeler
BAYTOWN, TEXAS - Horace Edward "Ace" Wheeler, 65, passed away November 22, 2003, at San Jacinto Medical Center in Baytown, Texas.
Graveside services will be held Friday, December 5, 2003, at 10 a.m. at Highland cemetery in Lawton, Oklahoma. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 13, 2003, at 2 p.m. at the Bayou Golf Course in Texas City, Texas.
Mr. Wheeler was born October 22, 1938, in Lawton Oklahoma. He had been a resident of Texas City, Texas, since 1972. He served in the United States Armed Forces for twenty years, retiring in 1972, as a Warrant Officer. He served in both Viet Nam and Thailand. He worked at UTMB as a bio-technician, retiring in 2000.
He is survived by his wife, Mary B. Wheeler; his daughter, Carolann "Mickey" Wheeler; and his son, Nathan Edward Wheeler. He is also survived by his brother, Earl Wheeler and several nieces and nephews He is preceded in death by his mother, Mabel nee Kidd Wheeler, his father Earl Nathan "Jack" Wheeler and two sisters, Elsie Johnson and Dortha Horvath.

SANTA FE, TEXAS -Johnnie Baxter Barfoot, Sr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away Monday, December 1, 2003, at the Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2003, at Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Hwy 6, Hitchcock, Texas. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, December 4, 2003, also at Hayes Funeral Home with Wayne McKamie, Gerald Hill, Miles King and E.M. Perkins officiating from the Church of Christ. Burial will follow the service at Forest Park East cemetery in Webster, Texas.
Dr. Barfoot was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Blanche Barfoot of Union, Mississippi, and brother Jackie Barfoot of Milton, Florida.
He is survived by his wife, Dr. Ralleen Perkins Barfoot of Santa Fe, Texas; sons CDR Johnnie Baxter Barfoot, Jr. and his wife Darlene, Jack Allen Barfoot and his wife Colleen; and daughter Janine da Silva and her husband Daniel; step-daughters, Sharon Hopkins and her husband Keith, Sheryl Malek and Shirleen Glasin. Siblings include Fred Allen Barfoot, Anne Rouse, and Dorothy Ledlow; grandchildren, Lindsey Barfoot, Chancellor and Autumn da Silva and Samuel Barfoot; step-grandchildren, Amber and Megan Malek; Tyler, Ethan, and Jerod Hopkins; Christopher, Brooks, Mackeson, Rhondarose, and Kalegrace Lattiere.
Dr. Barfoot was born on December 28, 1931, in Union, Mississippi. He received his Doctorate of Chiropractic Degree from Texas Chiropractic College in 1954, and his BA from St. Mary's University in 1960, in San Antonio, Texas. He had private practices in San Antonio, Pasadena, Seabrook and Santa Fe, Texas throughout his forty-nine years as a chiropractor. He had also served in the U.S. Army from 1954-1956.
Johnnie Barfoot served as an instructor, Director of Postgraduate Work, Dean, Vice-President and President of the Texas Chiropractic College from 1962-1985. He was a member of TCA for forty-three years and of the American Chiropractic Association for thirty-nine years. He served as regional director of District 10, and Research Committee Chairman of TCA between 1962, and 1974. He was an ACA Research Committee member for two years. He was on the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners Test Committee from 1964-1974, and the Council on Chiropractic Committees from 1977-1985. He was Secretary then President of the Association of Chiropractic Presidents in 1979, and 1980. He was Secretary then Vice-President of the Council on Chiropractic Education from 1980-1983 and Secretary of the Texas Chiropractic Alumni Association for 2001- 2003.
Dr. Barfoot was honored with many awards. He received Doctor of the Year from the Texas Chiropractic Association in 1980, Fellow of the International College of Chiropractic in 1976, Meritorious Service Award from the Mississippi Association of Chiropractors in 1983, and the Appreciation Award from the Council on Chiropractic Education in 1982, and 1985.
Pallbearers will be Dr. P.A. Willmon, Jr., Dr. Jerry Vitek, Keith Hopkins, Tyler Hopkins, Greg Robbins and Marvin Roberts. Honorary pallbearer will be Daniel da Silva.
