In highest regard he loved and respected his surviving mother, Lucila H. Puckett, and father, Charles E. Puckett, both of Gladewater. He looked upon his only son, George Ray Puckett, Jr., proudly, with hopes his paths be guided in light, strength, and love.

Puckett of Buckeye, Ariz. “George, Big Brother, you are forever alive in our hearts and memories.” Cherished also are his three nieces, Meghan, Linzie, and Kayla Davis, all of Longview.
George’s love was sincere and broadly given. His humor was infectious and often healing. He appreciated the deeper levels of life — love, music, and books. For all the many friends and family who feel the loss of this big-hearted man, a “Life Celebration Barbeque” will be held Saturday, Jan. 26, 2002, at Lake Gladewater Park Pavilion from 4 to 8 p.m. As George would put it, “You have been much loved.”
