John Earl (Buddy) Rounsavall
ATHENS — Services for John Earl (Buddy) Rounsavall, 67, of Athens and Kilgore, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002 in Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home Chapel with Hospice Chaplain Dennis Harvey officiating. Graveside services with military honors will follow in Rounsavall Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Steve Landess, Donald Powell, Michael Rounsavall, Randy Rounsavall, Larry DeLange and James Prichard.
Mr. Rounsavall died Sunday, Sept. 22, 2002 at his Lake Athens home.
He was born July 28, 1935 in Athens to Nina Monroe and Lou Dell Wills Rounsavall, and grew up in Athens. He served 20 years in the United States Army, retiring in 1975. Mr. Rounsavall lived in Kilgore 30 years where he owned and operated Kilgore Small Engine Repair, and has lived mostly at his Lake Athens home the past four years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Larry Paul Rounsavall.
Survivors include his wife, Ilsa Rounsavall of Kilgore; sons and daughters-in-law, Ricky and Jeanie Rounsavall of Longview, Alan and Tish Rounsavall, and Stephen Rounsavall, all of Kilgore; daughter, Kristi Bell of Kilgore; brother and sisters-in-law, Donald and Frankie Rounsavall of Athens and Cammie Rounsavall; sisters and brother-in-law, Alice and Marion Dingler of Winona, and Nelda Watts of Nashville, Tenn.; five grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.

Delroy Fambrough
Services for Delroy Fambrough, 67, of Kilgore, are pending with Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore.
Mr. Fambrough died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2002 in Marshall.
Mary Alice Moser
OVERTON — Cremation arrangements for Mary Alice Moser, 75, of Overton, are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Kilgore.
Mrs. Moser died Sunday, Sept. 22, 2002 at Laird Memorial Hospital.
She was born Nov. 10, 1926 in Cottonwood, Ariz. and had been a resident of the Overton area for several years. She had worked at the Overton Small Animal Hospital.
Survivors include her daughters, Judith Cottle and her daughter, both of Overton, and Gloria Swanier and her two daughters and three sons, all of Arp; two sisters, Jeanie Thielsen of Idaho and Martha M. Hass of Oregon; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorials be sent to your local humane society in memory of Mary Alice Moser.
HOWARD CHARLES JACKSON
Funeral services for Howard Jackson, 56, of Longview will be noon Wednesday, March 16, 2004 at Victory Funeral Services Chapel with the Rev. K.B. Henry officiating. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Victory Funeral Services.
Mr. Jackson was born Sept. 9, 1947 to Johnny and Rosie Lee Starling Jackson in Longview. He departed this life on March 11, 2004 at East Texas Hospice in Tyler.
At an early age he united with Growing Valley Baptist Church in Longview. After graduation from Mary C. Womack High School in Longview, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. A Vietnam veteran, he served two tours in Vietnam and was honorably discharged in 1974.
Upon departure from the military, his work career consisted of positions with Kilgore Ceramics, work as a bricklayer and other various jobs in the construction industry.
His parents preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Oma of Kilgore; one son, Eric Jackson of Longview; a step-daughter, Regina Dennis of Kilgore; two sisters, Rosie Brooks and Sherry Diane Smith, both of Tyler; two brothers, William Bell of Longview and Johnny Jackson of Houston; four grandchildren, Davonté Jackson, Kaylee Epting, Jimesha Dennis and Jeranda Dennis; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be from noon until 6 p.m. Monday, March 15, at Victory Funeral Services.
JOYCE LAMBETH FREDERICK
Services for Joyce Lambeth Frederick, 67, of Tatum will be 4 p.m. Monday, March 15, 2004 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Kilgore with the Rev. A.D. Spears officiating. Burial will follow in Kilgore Cemetery. She died Wednesday, March 10, at her residence.
She was born April 6, 1936 in Gregg County, the daughter of the late Bob and Lottie Lambeth. She was a homemaker and a member of the church in Longview.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Curnutt.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Royce Frederick of Longview and Bobby and Susan Curnutt of Kilgore; a brother, J.B. Lambeth of Brazil; five grandchildren, Shalen Curnutt of Oak Hill, Amber Curnutt, Whitney Curnutt, Bobby Curnutt and Kyle Curnutt, all of Kilgore; and one great-granddaughter.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 3-5 p.m.
DONA ANNIE MAE GORDAN
Funeral services for Mrs. Dona Annie Mae Gordan, 87, of Kilgore will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2004 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Kilgore with the Rev. Glenn Barton officiating. Burial will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery near Tyler. Mrs. Gordan passed away Monday at Laird Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Gordan was born Jan. 6, 1917 in Lamar, Okla., daughter of the late James and Ida Lee. She had lived most of her life in Kilgore. Mrs. Gordan was a homemaker and a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Kilgore.
She is survived by her husband, Mart Gordan of Kilgore; daughter, Anita Ragan Benson of Kilgore; granddaughter, Taylor Ragan of Kilgore; brother, William Lee of Tucson, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Gordan was preceded in death by her first husband, Tucker Haralson.
The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home of Kilgore Tuesday from 6 until 8 p.m.
JOHNNY JACKSON
Graveside services for Johnny Jackson will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 4, 2004 at Post Oak Cemetery. Mr. Jackson died Tuesday in a Kilgore hospital. He was employed in construction.
Survivors include several relatives.
JAMES LELUGAS
James Edward LeLugas, 54, of Kilgore passed away peacefully on May 3, 2004 with his family surrounding him after a courageous bout with cancer. Graveside services will be at Scottville Brookside Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to Hospice Home Place at 4111 University Dr., Tyler, TX 75701, or a local hospice service of your choice.
James loved his family, simple things in life and being a cowboy. He was also an outstanding athlete during his years at Mason County Central. He resided in Texas for the past 24 years and served in the U.S. Army as a military policeman.
He was loved and will be remembered by many friends and family.
Survivors include his mother, Louise LeLugas of Scottville; his daughter, Dawn Fuller; grandchildren, Kaylii and Gaige; brothers, sisters and brother-in-law, Shirley (James) Adamczyk, Betty Rogers, Joyce (Dean) Lasley, Diana Engfer, Val (Rick) Renwick, Deb LeLugas, Edward LeLugas and Joseph LeLugas; longtime companion, Lee LeLugas; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward J. LeLugas, and a nephew.
GLADYS E. “PAT” COOK
Services for Pat Cook, 92 of Benton, Ark., formerly of Kilgore, were 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 4, 2004 at the First Christian Church with the Rev. Bill Blanks officiating. Burial was in Kilgore Cemetery. Mrs. Cook died Friday, April 30, 2004 in Benton, Ark.
Pallbearers were Sheridan Scott, John Betyo, Sam Tamo, David Scott, Joseph Tamo and Blake Erskine.
She was born Sept. 28, 1911 in Kirvin to J.B. and Maud Teer. She moved to Kilgore in 1934. Mrs. Cook was a longtime member of the First Christian Church where she was active in the Christian Women’s Fellowship. She retired from the Kilgore Independent School District.
Mrs. Cook is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Patsy Weatherford of Benton, Ark., and Sherry and Bill Spurgeon of Alexander, Ark.; a daughter-in-law, Betty Cook of Silverdale, Wash.; one sister, Delle Erskine of Tehuacana; one brother, Henry Teer of Fairfield; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lymon Hall Cook, and a son, Richard Cook.
Memorial contributions may be made to the East Texas Treatment Center.

JUSTIN ROY BARR
Services for Justin Roy Barr, 23, of Kilgore were 11 a.m. Monday, May 3, 2004 at St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Kilgore with the Revs. Robert Besser and Ralph Rudy officiating. Justin died Thursday, April 29, 2004 at his home in Kilgore.
Pallbearers were Adam Dowell, Roy Barr, Johnny Darce, Kenneth Barr, Ian Bass, Andy Melton, Marcus Dowell, Charles Britt and Barrett Besser.
He was born in Opelousas, La., on Sept. 11, 1980 to Harold and Sharon Barr. Justin was a member of the St. Luke's United Methodist Church. He had served in the United States Army. Justin loved people and especially enjoyed spending time with children.
He enjoyed fishing, bicycling and working out. Justin loved animals, in particular his dog “Thumper.” He was a supervisor for Sam's wholesale club of Longview.
All who knew him will miss Justin.
His two grandfathers, Clifford Britt and Harold Barr Sr., precede him in death.
Justin is survived by his parents, Harold and Sharon Barr of Kilgore; sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Adam Dowell of Kilgore; two grandmothers, Pauline Britt of Kilgore and Rebecca Barr of Patterson, La.; as well as aunts, uncles, numerous cousins and many other loving family and friends.
Memorials can be made in Justin's memory to St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 401 E. Main St., Kilgore, TX 75662.
