EDDIE STONE
Services for Eddie Stone, 57, of Kilgore were 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, 2004 in Elderville Cemetery with Helen Johnson officiating. Arrangements were by East Texas Funeral Home of Longview.
Mr. Stone was born Feb. 28, 1947 in Dinuba, Calif., to Ben Stone and Mary Sanford Stone. He passed away Aug. 30 in an area hospital.
Eddie loved and cared for his family. He enjoyed fishing and working and restoring his 1952 Dodge Meadowbrook.
Survivors include his wife, Tammy Stone of Kilgore; sons, Ron Stone of Bauxite, Ark., and Chris Stouffer of Kilgore; brothers, Tom Stone of California and Bill Stone of Kilgore; sisters, Loretta Stone of California, Mary Lee Henderson of California, Retha Pauls of Henderson, Linda Fleming of Longview, Carol McCown of Longview and Joann Linn of Kilgore.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Glinford Stone, in 2000, and his parents.
EARLY DAWN NELSON
Services were held Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2004 in Dallas for Early Dawn Nelson of Plano. Mrs. Nelson died Saturday, Aug. 28 2004 at Medical Center of Plano.
Mrs. Nelson was born Oct. 19, 1926 in Grit, Texas to Anciel (Moon) and Mae Mullins and was a 1943 graduate of Overton High School. A retiree of St. Regis Paper Company, she was a longtime member of Melrose Church of Christ in Plano.
She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Allen and Chris of Minnesota, Garry and Lara of Mesquite and James and Sandra of Canton: nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy Mullins of Los Angeles, Shirley Kucifer of Kilgore and Alma Stapp of Princeton; one brother, Otto Mullins of Baytown; and sister-in-law, Carolyn Gilliland of Red Oak, and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Johnny Mullins.

HENRY C. CARSWELL JR.
Mass of Christ burial for Henry C. Carswell Jr.,99, of Tyler, formerly of Kilgore, were held Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2005 at 1 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Msgr. Joseph E. Strickland, celebrant. Arrangements are under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mr. Carswell passed away at Tyler Hospice Homeplace on Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005.
Mr. Carswell was born June 14, 1906, to Henry C. and Ann Eliza Welch Carswell, in Saltillo, Mexico, while his father was on temporary assignment with the I&G.N. Railroad. His early years were spent in Palestine. He graduated from high school and was married while living in Freeport. Mr. Carswell has resided in Tyler since December 1944 and has been a member of the Immaculate Conception Parish where he served as president of the Holy Name society, was a member of the Knights of Columbus and sang in the choir.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, three brothers and two grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Eza Maria; five children, Henry C. III and Corrine Carswell of Kingwood, Charles (Buddy) and Kay Carswell of Tyler, Ann Marie and Fred Brunkenhoefer of Portland, Rosemary Sims of Mansfield, and Frances Mack Henry McNew of Henderson; 17 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Mr. Carswell’s grandsons: Dennis and Pat Carswell; Freddy, Michael, and Eric Brunkenhoefer; Kelly and Kirk Sims; and Dean, Rodney, and lance McNew. Presentation of the gifts will be by grandddaughters: Debbie Carswell; Lynne Marek, Lisa Wiese, Cathy Barnebey, Michelle Thompson, Kristin Stewart, and Cindy Wagner.
Memorials may be made to St. Gregory Library Fund or to Tyler Catholic School Foundation in care of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 423 S. Broadway, or to charity of one’s choice.
BEULAH LYNCH
Funeral services for Beulah McGaskey Lynch, 93, of Carson, CA., formerly of Kilgore will be Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at the Westview Church of Christ on Gladewater Street in Kilgore under the direction of Stanmore Funeral Home.
She died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005 in Carson, CA.
Mrs. Beulah McGaskey Lynch was born on January 17, 1912. She departed this world on February 17, 2005. While residing in Carson, California.
She is survived by her children, relatives, and friends.

PERRY E. “JIM” DRAPER
Funeral services for Perry E. "Jim" Draper, 88, of Lafayette, LA, a former Kilgore resident, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005 in Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonville, OH with Rev. Howard Burnett officiating. Burial will be in Grenlawn Cemetery, Perrysville. Mr. Draper died Thursday evening, Feb. 17, 2005, in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Lafayette, LA. Mr. Draper was born Oct. 31, 1916 in Pickford, MI, the son of the late Harry and M. Irene (Sanderson) Draper.
He was a US Army Air Corps veteran of WWII. From 1939 to 1964 he was an employee of Mansfield Sanitary Inc. of Perrysville, retiring as vice-president of production. From 1964 to 1968 he was a sanitary ware consultant in the US, Mexico, and Africa. From 1968 to 1971 he worked for the Crane Company in manufacturing engineering. Beginning in 1971, he was the manager of Kilgore Ceramics, until his retirement in 1982. He lived in Perrysville most of his life until moving to Kilgore in 1971 where he lived until the move to Lafayette in 2001 to be close to his daughter.
He was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Kilgore, serving many years as a Sunday School teacher and Board member. He recently attended Asbury Methodist Church, Lafayette, LA. He was a past-member of the Perrysville Board of Education and the Ashland County Board of Education. He was a member of the American Ceramics Society, American Management Association, the Aircraft Owners and Pilot's Association, and the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret "Peg" (Gladden) Draper in 1999; his son, Terry Draper in 2004; and his parents.
He is survived by his daughter, Pamela Jester of Lafayette, LA; seven grandchildren; former daughter-in-law, Susie Draper of Perrysville, and three sisters, Maxine Lowe of Stuart FL, Marilyn "Betty" (Richard) Masheter of Thurston, OH, and Rosemary (Chuck) Lewis of Mansfield, Ohio.

Mrs. Hollier died February 20, 2005 in Kilgore, Texas. Born February 19, 1910 in Rusk County, Texas.
She was a member of Grandview Missionary Baptist.

IDELLA GIPSON
Funeral services for Alice Idella Gipson, 83, of Overton will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2005 at New Home Baptist Church with Revs. G. Henry Lewis and Oscar Medlock officiating. Burial will be in New Home Cemetery under direction of M.R. Smith Parlor for Funerals of Corsicana. Mrs. Gipson died March 15, 2005 at Hospice of East Texas.
She was born Jun. 9, 1921 in Kilgore. She attended Kilgore and Tyler public schools. She was a retired school teacher and taught at Arp, Henderson, Longview, Troup, Kilgore and Arizona State public schools. She had a bachelor degree from Texas College and a Masters from Wiley College.
She was preceded in death by father, mother, sisters, brothers and husband, Willie Gipson.
She is survived by her sister, Mable Arnold of Sacramento, CA.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Community Funeral Home of Tyler.

Funeral services for Mildred Watson Fleming, 85, of Stephenville will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2005 at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Dan Murray officiating. Burial will follow in Garden sof Memory Cemetery in Erath County. She died Monday, March 14, 2005 at Harris Methodist Erath County Hospital in Stephenville.
She was born June 26, 1919 in Kilgore to James and Alice Watson. She was a homemaker, a member of the First Baptist Church of Stephenville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.H. Fleming; parents, James Watson and Alice Marion; step-father, Howard W. Marion; three brothers; two sisters and grandson, Jay Guggolz.
She is survived by son, Michael and Nancy fleming of Tyler; step-daughters, Judy White of Rockwall, Barbara Guggolz of Storrs, CT.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
