BARBARA SPARKS RILEY
Services for Barbara Riley, 56, of Carthage, formerly of Kilgore, will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 2004 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dale Reed officiating. Burial will follow in the Long Branch Cemetery, Panola County. Mrs. Riley died Wednesday, March 3, 2004 at her home in Carthage following a lengthy illness.
She was born April 2, 1947 in Carthage. Mrs. Riley was a homemaker and a member of the Carthage Missionary Baptist Church in Carthage.
She is survived by her daughter, Angie Reid Jorgensen and her husband Richard Jorgensen of Plano; a son Bobby Darrell Reid of Carthage; her mother, Mae Kelley of Carthage; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Malcolm Sparks of Henderson, Eddie and Linda Sparks of Kilgore, Larry Sparks of Carthage; two granddaughters, Ellen Reid and Anna Windsor of Kilgore; three aunts, Nig Davenport and Fern Birmingham of Carthage and Vera Marshall of Nacogdoches. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of loving friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Riley; father, Ernest Sparks; and granddaughter, Patricia Faith Butts.
The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home of Kilgore Friday evening between 6 and 8 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Greater Hospice of Texas, 1905 West Loop 281, Longview, Texas.

FROZINE “BABE” HUNT COLBERT
Services for Frozine “Babe” Hunt Colbert will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 2004 at New Hope Church of Christ in Kilgore with Bro. Ralph Draper officiating. Burial will be in New Home Cemetery, directed by Stanmore Funeral Home.
Survivors include a sister, Katherine; brothers, Henry and Levise; children, Mary, Iva, Erma, Welton, Jonelwyn, Orell and Roger; daughter-in-law, Alice; 37 grandchildren; 73 great-grandchildren; and 32 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

EVELYN BRADLEY
Services for Evelyn Bradley, 87, of Henderson will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 2004 at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church in Henderson with Elder M.L. Horn, the Rev. Billy Tribble, Dale Charvis and Min. Willie Centers officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park in Henderson under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.
Sis. Bradley, the daughter of the late Jeff and Media Mathis Maddox, was born Dec. 10, 1916 in Dallas. She was reared in Rusk County and attended public school in Rusk and Dallas counties.
Sis. Bradley was a founder and faithful member of T&H Church of God in Christ (later the name changed to First Church of God in Christ) for over 60 years, including service as Sunday school secretary, church secretary, Texas South Central Juridical Henderson District secretary of the Women Department. She was employed by Dr. James Mann for many years.
She united in holy matrimony with the late Elder Roosevelt B. Bradley for many years. He precedes her in death.
Sis. Bradley departed this life for Christ on Sunday, Feb. 29, 2004 at Henderson Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. She was a devoted mother and respected and loved by many.
She is survived by five daughters, Dorothy Bradley and Katherine McChristian, both of Henderson, Rosie Bradley of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mary Alexander and Judith Bowens, both of Henderson; 11 grandchildren, Michael Bradley of Dallas, Regina and Scott Powell and Dale Bradley, all of Henderson, Sgt. Adrian and Brenda Alexander of Killeen, Brandon and Angela Alexander of Houston, Corby and Ericka Alexander of Bryan, Taka Alexander of Henderson, Charles Alexander Jr. of San Antonio; Evelyn Smith and Andrew Burris, both of Los Angeles, Calif., and Ciara Bowens of Henderson; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of church family, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be Alverstin Hightower, Dell Madkins, Paul Madkins, Harris Terry, Charlie Washington and Emory Whetstone. Her grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

CLYDE T. MURRY
Funeral services for Clyde T. Murry, 76, of Jeffersonville, Ind., were held 11:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 16, 2004 at Christ Gospel Church, Jeffersonville, with burial in New Chapel Cemetery. He died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004 at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Louisville, Ind.
He was a native of Georgetown, La., and a member of Christ Gospel Church, Jeffersonville. He was a member of Masonic Lodge in Kilgore, a member of Pipefitters Union Local 522 and a World War II Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Murry; daughter, Alyson Schaft of Henryville, Ind.; sons, Alan and Wesley Murry of Clarksville, Ind., and Jeral Murry of Paragould, Ark.; sister, Margueritte Hedrick of Kilgore; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira G. and Minnie Murry.
Scott Funeral Home, North Chapel, Ind., was in charge of arrangements.

CHARLES MARK HICKS
Services for Charles Mark (Chuck) Hicks, 45, of Kilgore will be 2 p.m. Thursday, April 29, 2004 at the Forest Home Baptist Church with Revs. Jonathan Latham and Buddy Duggins officiating. Mr. Hicks died at his home Monday, April 26, 2004.
He was born Jan. 12, 1959 in Kilgore. Mr. Hicks graduated from Warren Easton High School, New Orleans, La. He was an artist, a musician and a member of Forest Home Baptist Church.
Mr. Hicks is survived by his daughter, Darcey Amber Hicks of New Orleans; mother and step-father, Glenna and Tracy Moser of Kilgore; three sisters, Catherine Michele Hicks of Kilgore, Cynthia Monet Hicks of Kilgore and Caren Marcel Dudley of Kilgore; grandparents, Davis Russell Lee of Kilgore and Lillian Elizabeth Jobe of Las Vegas, Nev.; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Carroll Hicks.
Family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore from 6 to 7:30 Wednesday evening.

DENISE DIANE ALLEN
Services for Denise Diane Allen, 42, of Kilgore will be 4 p.m. Thursday, April 29, 2004 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Kilgore with the Rev. Byron Allen of Laird Hill Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Rusk County Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Allen passed away Monday, April 26, at her home in Kilgore after a lingering illness.
She was born in Kilgore on Oct. 15, 1961 and graduated as salutatorian from Leverett’s Chapel High School in 1980 and attended Kilgore College. She was a lifetime member of Laird Hill Baptist Church.
Denise was preceded in death by her grandparents, J.B. and Roberta Jordan of Kilgore and James L. and Eunice Allen of Leverett’s Chapel.
Denise is survived by her parents, Charles L. and Elsie Carol Allen of Leverett’s Chapel; daughter, Alecia G. Box of Palestine; brother, Terry L. Allen of Henderson; sister, Karen Allen Boyd of Longview; an uncle and aunt, Johnny and Linda Allen of Liberty City; and several other loving relatives including cousins, nieces and nephews and great-grandparents.
Denise was a very loving person and will be missed by those who knew her. Memorials can be made in Denise’s memory to Laird Hill Baptist Church, Laird Hill, TX 75666.
Visitation will be at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore on Wednesday, April 28, from 6:30 until 9 p.m.

ARMESTELLA ANTHONY
Services for Armestella Anthony, 76, of the Brachfield Community, Henderson, are pending with Southern Funeral Home. Mrs. Anthony died Tuesday, Arpil 27, 2004.

NICHOLE PATTON GRIFFIN
Services for Nichole Patton Griffin, 19, of Kilgore will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2004 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Kilgore with the Rev. Mike Maxwell officiating. Nichole passed away Sunday, June 13, in Kilgore.
Nichole was born in Longview on Oct. 26, 1984, the daughter of Billy and Julie Patton.
She attended Kilgore schools and Kilgore College. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, granddaughter and sister.
Nichole enjoyed life to the fullest and especially spending all the time she could with her husband and daughter. She will always be remembered as a Daddy’s girl.
Nichole is preceded in death by her father, Billy Patton; two grandfathers, James Donald Patton and John Russ; and a great-grandfather, Winston Fleming.
Nichole is survived by her husband, Jameson Griffin of Kilgore; daughter, Jadyn Daelynn Griffin of Kilgore; mother, Julie Patton of Kilgore; two brothers, Donald and Matthew Patton, both of Kilgore; mother-in-law, Melba and husband Mike Miles of Kilgore; father-in-law, J.D. and wife Lynda Griffin of Hooks; grandparents, Nadine Russ of Kilgore and Jane and Gene Powell of Longview; great-grandmother, Mattie Fleming of Tyler; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Memorial contributions can be made to the fund for the benefit of Jadyn Griffin that has been established at Texas Bank and Trust Co. in Longview or to the charity of choice.
Nichole’s family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore on Tuesday, June 15, from 6 to 8 p.m.

DOROTHY JO WOODS COOKS
Services for Dorothy Jo Cooks of Longview are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2004 at Craig Funeral Home Chapel with Danny E. Craig Sr. officiating. Burial will be at Kilgore Memorial Gardens under the direction of Craig Funeral Home. Surivors include her children, John Hillard Jr., Lyndon Cooks, Dorothea Cooks and Rochelle Stallard; 11 grandchildren; seven siblings; and a special friend, Calvin Pasco.

CHARLES DEAN WALLACE
Services for Charles Dean Wallace, 72, of Longview were 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at the Lakeview Funeral Home Chapel with Rodney Cox officiating.
Mr. Wallace was born April 11, 1932 in Ponta. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force where he served in the Korean conflict. Mr. Wallace retired from Enterra as an area supervisor. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the East Texas Rifle and Pistol Club. He was also a devoted member of the Alpine Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Nell Marie Wallace of Longview; seven children, David and Darla Wallace of Gladewater, Randall and Patsy Wallace of Corpus Christi, Donald and Linna Wallace of Kilgore, Mark and Becky Ganong of White Oak, Debra and James Hudspeth of White Oak, Carol and Jerry Sasser of Gladewater and Patti and Joe Snow of White Oak; 12 grandchildren, John David Wallace, Cristi Woodbury, Lara Wallace, Justin Vaughn, Taylor and Connor Ganong, Jaime and Molly Hudspeth, Rebekah and Jeremy Sasser and David and Blake Snow; one great-grandchild; a sister, Louise Crawford of Midland; and a brother, Frank Wallace of Colorado.
Mr. Wallace was a kind, sincere and devoted Christian man whose smiling face brought joy to those he touched. Memorials may be made to the Alpine Church of Christ Building fund, The American Cancer Society or the Exotic Bird Rescue at 109 Kingbird Circle, Longview, Texas 75603.

LUCILE ECTOR
Services for Lucile Ector, 86, of Denton, formerly of Henderson, were 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at New Community C.M.E., Henderson, with the Rev. James Griffin, Willie M. McAllister, E. Tyskia and Rev. Robert Giles officiating. Burial was in Pirtle Cemetery, Overton, under the direction of Southern Funeral Home. Mrs. Ector died Wednesday, June 8, at Denton Regional Medical.
She was born April 15, 1918 in Forney and attended Booker T. Washington public school. She spent most of her life in Henderson and the last 10 years in Denton.
A member of the Eastern Star, Mrs. Ector devoted countless hours in ministries at her home church, New Community C.M.E. When she moved to Denton, she joined Mt. Pilgrim C.M.E. Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Montgomery Giles and Georgia McAdams-Giles-Coats; husband, Johnnie Lee Ector; and two brothers, Robert and Eddie Giles.
Mrs. Ector is survived by one son, Johnnie Lee and Debra Ector Jr. of Denton; two daughters, Lutrichia and Leon Wafer of Kilgore and Katie and Melvin McKinley of Dallas; a sister, Mary lee Giles-Sheffield-Thompson of Denton; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two god-daughters; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Leon Wafer Jr., Heston Wafer, Jelani Wafer, Mtima Wafer and Charles McKinley.
