J.D. “MAC” MCHANEY
Graveside services for J.D. “Mac” McHaney, 84, of Longview will be 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27, 2004 in Peatown Cemetery with the Rev. Phil Jones officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, at the funeral home.
Mr. McHaney was born Aug. 5, 1920 in Longview to Dee and Helen McHaney. He passed away Tuesday evening, Aug. 24, 2004 in a Longview nursing facility.
Mr. McHaney worked for many years as a heavy duty mechanic and was a member of the Longview Masonic Lodge #404 and the First Christian Church. He honorably and faithfully served his country with the United States Navy during World War II.
A loving father and grandfather, Mr. McHaney was preceded in death by his loving wife, Evelyn, and one granddaughter, LaJuana Alexander.
He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Tanya and Mike Powdrill of Kilgore, Gail and Ron Adams of Longview; six grandchildren, Heather Powdrill, Tara Powdrill, Hunter Powdrill, Raymond Alexander, Jubal Alexander, Jackie Peace; 10 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Helen “Pudge” Griffin of Kilgore.
The family asks that memorials be made in honor of Mr. McHaney to First Christian Church Building Fund, 720 North Sixth St., Longview, Texas 75601.
HAROLD L. HART
Graveside services for Harold L. Hart, 74, of Overton will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, 2004 at the Kilgore City Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Baker officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday night from 5 until 7 p.m.
He was born April 2, 1930 in Seminole, Okla., the son of the late Lester and Bessie Hart. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served in Korea.
A daughter, Margie Sue Hart Giles, precedes him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Hart of Overton; a son and daughter-in-law, Ross and Debbie Hart of Florida; a daughter and son-in-law, Sherri and Gary Boyd of Overton; and numerous grandchildren and other loving family and friends.
ZACHARY TAYLOR “JACK” WASHBURN
Zachary Taylor “Jack” Washburn, longtime Rockport resident, gently passed away at home after a brief illness. He was born Oct. 21, 1926 in Henderson to Lou Emma and John Clarence Washburn. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Alie Mae; daughter, Denise (Howard) Scanlan of Rockport; son, John C. (Bernice Lee) Washburn II of Kerrville; grandchildren, Lauren Scanlan of Houston, Garrett Scanlan of College Station, Samuel and Jess Washburn of Kerrville; sisters, Margene Tuthill of Houston, Mary Joe Herrin of Kilgore and Betty Yolland of League City; numerous nieces and nephews; and many wonderful friends.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, 2004 and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home, Rockport. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, at First Baptist Church, Rockport.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 29, at Rader Funeral Home, Kilgore. Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 30, at Crims Chapel Cemetery.

ADRIANNE LEIGH REYNOLDS
Services for Adrianne Leigh Reynolds, 16, of the Longview area, are pending. She died Friday, Jan. 21, 2005, in East Moline, Ill.
Miss Reynolds was born Sept. 12, 1988, in El Dorado, AR. She was employed at Checker’s Restaurant and attended school at Black Hawk College Outreach Center, both in East Moline.
Adrianne was a talented singer and artist with plans to audition for the next American Idol. Her future goal was to join the Marines after receiving her high school diploma.
She was preceded in death by her favorite uncle, Michael Gibson of Kilgore, and grandmother, Cathy Huffman of Longview.
She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Carolyn and David Franco of the Longview area; her sister, Courtney Huffman of the Longview area; her adoptive mother/grandmother and spouse, Beverly and Bill Graham of Hallsville; her adoptive father and spouse, Tony and Joanna Reynolds of East Moline, Ill.; her stepbrothers, Josh and Kristen Shatteman and Justin Shatteman, all of East Moline, Ill.; a stepbrother, Dillon Treichler of Whitehouse; grandparents, Gary and Judy Gibson of Kilgore, James Huffman of Longview, Fred Ferrel of Longview, Virgil and Judy McCollum of Milan; great-grandparents, Melba and John Foster of Kilgore, Bernice and Joe Dunn of El Dorado, AR., and Thomas D. FLOYD LEE PUCKETT
Services for Floyd Lee Puckett, 69, of Kilgore will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Kilgore with Rev. David Hampton officiating. Burial will follow at Mustang Prairie Cemetery in Kosse. Mr. Puckett died Monday, Jan. 31, 2005 in Kilgore.
He was born Feb. 27, 1935 to Lee and Yvonne Puckett in Gladewater. He worked for Scan Drilling for years. He was a loving father, grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Linda Yvonne and stepfather, M.B. Reneau.
He is survived by girlfriend, Maggie L. Butler, Kilgore; daughter, Ramona and Joey Winstead of Kosse; son, Jerry Puckett of Kilgore; brother, Jerry Bob Puckett of Illinois; step-brother, C.D. Reneau of West Texas; his ex-wife; step-children, Sharon and Robin Fowler of Fruitvale, Walter and Judy Smith of Crandle, Mary Beth and Randy Carter of Alba, Mike Butler of Grand Saline, Billy Butler of Grand Saline; eight grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

JUANITA WILLIAMS BERNARD
Cremation arrangements for Juanita Williams Bernard, 80, of Kilgore are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. Mrs. Bernard passed away Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2005 at Laird Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born March 21, 1924 in Burkburnett the daughter of the late Geroge and Elsie Williams.
Mrs. Bernard is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ray Bernard of Kilgore; daughter and son-in-law, Connie Estelle Bernard Lucas and Edward of The Colony; and two grandchildren, Christopher Dewayne Lucas of Mesquite and Kevin Ray Lucas of Dallas.
ALEXIS FAITH MURRY
Services for Alexis Faith Murry, 3, of Kilgore were held 4 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2005 at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church of Kilgore with the Revs. Robert Besser, Pam Besser and Ralph Rudy officiating. Burial will follow in the Kilgore Memorial Gardens Cemetery. She passed away Friday, Jan. 28, 2005 after a four-month battle with cancer.
She is survived by her mommy, Sabrina Michele Wise of Kilgore; brother, Ty Avery Murry of Kilgore; grammy, Babby Wise of Kilgore; grandpa, Claude Wm. Wise Sr. of Tyler; six aunts; three uncle; great-grandmothers, Judith A. Frederick of Kilgore, Sarrah L. Wise of Hawkins; 15 great-aunts and uncles; numerous cousins; father, William Murry of Kilgore; grandparents, Johnnie and Pattie Murry of Kilgore; great-grandparents, Marvin and Yvonne Murry of Arkansas; and great-great-grandmother, Letha Jones of Arkansas.

Pinky Swingler
Services for Pinky Swingler, 70, of Kilgore, were 4 p.m. today, April 25, 2001 at the First Baptist Church with the Revs. Dr. Mark McClelland, David Hampton and Dr. Pete Freeman officiating. Burial followed in the Danville Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bobby Bittick, David Taylor, E.N. Irwin, Carl Clower, Marion Turner, Steve Turner, Ronnie Gill and Jerdy Wolverton.
Mrs. Swingler died Sunday, April 22, 2001 in Kilgore.
She was born July 21, 1930 in Nacogdoches to Frederich Johnson Gattis and Jewell Sessions Gattis. She attended Longview Public Schools and was a graduate of Longview High School. She graduated from Kilgore College where she was a Rangerette, and was active in the Rangerette’s Forever program. She received her bachelor’s degree from Stephen F. Austin University. She was dedicated to her church, family and friends. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for 30 years and served on many of the church’s committees. She was an active volunteer for the Kilgore Public School system and a lifetime member of the PTA. She was a member of the American Business Women’s Association and the Club Au Current.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, one son and daughter-in-law, one brother and sister-in-law, six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.

Geraldine Hooks Townsend
Services for Geraldine Hooks Townsend, 66, of Kilgore will be 2 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2001 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Kilgore.
Mrs. Townsend died Wednesday, April 25, 2001 at her home.
J.B. Hale
PLEASANT HILL — Graveside services for J.B. Hale, 74, of Joinerville will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002 at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Rev. Bill Tisdale officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home of Henderson.
Pallbearers will be Brent Hale, Kelly Hale, Mike Hale, Tommy Phillips, Tony Cavaliere, and Rusty Weaver.
Mr. Hale died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002 in Henderson.
He was born Sept. 16, 1927 in Hominy, Okla. and lived in Joinerville. He was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Joinerville and was a retired fill foreman for Parade Gasoline Plant. He also served in the Merchant Marines during WWII.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Hale; and sister, Jo-Ann Kyles.
Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Mary Agness and Dick McCarty of Kilgore; brother and sister-in-law, Rex and Ann Hale of Henderson; and many nieces and nephews.
Martha Frantz
Cremation arrangements for Martha Frantz, 80, of Kilgore, are under the direction of East Texas Funeral Home of Longview.
Mrs. Frantz died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2002 at her residence.
She was born Jan. 3, 1922 to George and Elizabeth McClenahan Wortman in New Bedford, Pa. She was a member of the Eastern Star and worked as a sales manager for a wholesale import company located in Apparel Marts of Denver an Dallas.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Merrick Joseph “Tiny” Ventresco; son, Daniel Ventresco Frantz; and second husband, Edwin Duane Frantz.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Kay Frantz of Montrose, Colo.; daughter and son-in-law, Duann “D.D.” Frantz and Mike Smith; sisters, Nancy Traxler and Georgiette Wylan both of Colorado; daughter-in-law and son-in-law, Sharon Williams and Dr. Bob Nelson of Denver, Colo.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
