BOBBIE CLAYBORN
Services for Bobbie Clayborn of Kilgore will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 20, 2004 at New Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with the Revs. Steven Lawson, Billy Medlock, Ricky Lawson and Elder James Elder officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery under the direction of Stanmore Funeral Home.
The body will lie in state 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. at New Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Friday, March 19. Family visitation is from 6-7 p.m.
Mrs. Clayborn, affectionately called “Momo” and “Aunt Bobbie,” was second oldest of 13 children born in Alexander City, Ala., to the late Sim and Effie Cleveland Sr. She entered into a new life on Thursday, March 11, 2004. Her parents and siblings preceded her in death.
Bobbie and her family moved in 1914 from Alabama to Mineola, where she grew up and graduated from Mineola schools. She united with Christ and was baptised at the St. Paul Baptist Church. She latered joined the New Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Kilgore, where she remained as an active and committed member of this church until her health began to fail her.
Bobbie married her sweetheart, Cain C. Clayborn, in 1932. They had three children. A son, Melvin, preceded her in death.
During her lifetime of occupational pursuits, she was employed at Camp Fanin, Tyler, B&M Cleaners and Quality Cleaners in Kilgore, where she retired in 1974.
Bobbie was a loving “people person” who cherished young people and children. She remained young at heart and her love and big smile were infectious and inspirational. She enjoyed cooking a delicious meal, not only for her family but for anyone in the community who wanted to join in.
She is survived by two sons, Arthur L. and Betty Clayborn and Robert Clayborn of Fort Worth; one grandson, Arthur I. Clayborn II of Kilgore; one granddaughter, Marilyn Davis of Fort Worth; two great-granddaughters and one great-great-granddaughter; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, loved ones and friends.
DALLAS CARL CLYNCH SR.
A memorial service for Dallas Carl Clynch Sr., 79, of Dallas will be 1 p.m. Sunday, March 21, 2004 at Church of the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Arlington. A retired coach, he died Tuesday, March 9, 2004 at a local hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Gayle Clynch of Arlington; sons, Dallas Clynch Jr. of Arlington and Dane Clynch and wife Kim of Kilgore; brother, V.L. Clynch and wife Ruby of Arlinigton; and grandchildren, Brandy, Darren and Tabitha.
WELDON HALE JUSTICE
Graveside services for Weldon Hale Justice, 68, of Dallas will be 1 p.m. Friday, April 9, 2004 in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, New London, under the direction of Burrows Overton Funeral Home. Mr. Justice died Tuesday evening, April 6, at Medical City Hospital in Dallas, following a sudden illness.
Mr. Justice was born Feb. 1, 1936 in New London to Jack and Alena Hale Justice. He graduated from Pasadena High School and Texas A&M. A computer scientist, Mr. Justice was a member of First United Methodist Church of Richardson.
He is surived by his wife, Reba Justice of Dallas; mother, Alena Justice of Richardson; son, Paul Justice of Ardmore, Okla.; three daughters, Cinda Valerde of Dallas, Patty Thompson of Jackson, Miss., and Kelle Hill of Richardson; sister, Polly Renner of Baltimore, Md.; and four grandchildren.
Visistation will be 11 a.m. to noon Friday at the funeral home.
Hilda Ligon Gildart
Services for Hilda Gildart, 96, longtime resident of Kilgore, were 10 a.m. today, May 9, 2001 at the First Presbyterian Church of Kilgore with Rev. Dr. William J. Ingersoll officiating. Burial followed in the Kilgore City Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral home.
Pallbearers were Clarence Laird, Verner Laird, Lynn Currin, Richard Rorschach, Paul Bolt and Bob Schleier.
Mrs. Gildart died Sunday, May 6, 2001 in Longview.
She was born Sept. 20, 1904 in Kerrville and was an Elder Emeritus of the First Presbyterian Church of Kilgore and had also served for six years as a deacon. She had been chairperson of the worship committee and had served on many other church committees. She was a past president of the Women-of-the Church where she had served two years. She had also been a circle chairman and Bible Moderator several times. She was First Lady of Kilgore in 1983. She was a volunteer at Laird Hospital over nine years and was a life member at the time of her death. She was a volunteer at Helping Hands of Kilgore for several years. She had been active in PTA, serving one year as president of Laird Hill PTA in 1935-36 and for two years as President of Campus Ward PTA in 1938-40. She was also presented a life membership in PTA in December, 1983. She was twice president of the Kilgore Woman’s Club and had served as President of the Magic Windows Art Club of Kilgore, the Gregg Shrine Club and the Social Order of the Beauceants in Kilgore. She was a 50 year member of Kilgore Chapter No. 530, Order of the Eastern Star of Kilgore and was a charter member of Sharuhan Temple No. 127, Daughters of the Nile at Tyler.
She was preceded in death by husband, Gordon Gildart; youngest daughter, Joann Hill; and oldest daughter, Emagene Wind.
Survivors include one daughter, eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the scholarship fund at the First Presbyterian Church of Kilgore or to a charity of choice.
Mrs. Royce Robertson
Graveside services for Mrs. Royce Robertson, 87, of Kilgore, will be 2 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2001 at the Kilgore City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Kilgore.
Mrs. Robertson died Sunday, May 6, 2001 in a Tyler hospital.
She was born July 6, 1913 to A.J. and Margaret Wallace on the Twelfth Mile Prairie in Durant, Okla. All her close friends knew her as “Sister Bonnie” and some knew her as “Mama.”
She was preceded in death by her husband, Royce Robertson and her parents.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Royce and Suerae Robertson of Tyler; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several family and friends.
Lady C. Brooks
Funeral services for Lady C. Brooks, 79, of Longview, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2001 at the First Presbyterian Church of Longview, 301 North Center Street, with the Rev. Jonathan Jahorek and Rev. W.D. O’Neal officiating. Burial will follow in Jordan Valley Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mrs. Brooks was born Sept. 12, 1922 in DeKalb, Texas to Cleve and Eugnia Garland. She passed away Saturday evening, Nov. 10, 2001 at her residence.
She was a school teacher for the Pittsburg Independent School District and North Chapel School at Sabine Independent School District, a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Longview, a volunteer with the Good Shepherd Medical Center Auxiliary with over 8,000 hours of service, a volunteer with the Longview Police Department, a volunteer with the Longview Community Ministries and a host of other civic organizations.
A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Mrs. Brooks is survived by her husband of 53 years, Wilson Brooks of Longview; daughter, Arnetta Burns of Dallas; son, Roderick Brooks of Colorado Springs, Co.; grandchildren, Dwight and Ursala Burns of Dallas, Stacy Burns of Dallas, Ursula Brooks of Colorado Springs, Co.; three great-grandchildren; brother, James Garland of Ashdown, Ark.; a nephew, James Monroe of Dallas.

Rev. Willie Mobley
Services for Willie Mobley, 77, of Longview, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2001 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Kilgore with the Revs. Gary Orr, Kenneth Mills and C.T. Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Danville Cemetery in Kilgore.
Rev. Mobley died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001 at his home.
He was born July 20, 1924 in Salem, Washington County, Ind. and attended schools in the same county. He served in the Army during WWII where he received a Purple Heart with one cluster. He received his baccalaureate from Mississippi Baptist College and his masters from Southwestern Theological Seminary in Fort Worth. He served a number of churches throughout his career including Central Baptist Church in Springhill, La., First Baptist Church in Kilbourne, La., First Baptist Church in Franklin, La., Mer Rouge Baptist Church in Mer Rouge, La., Bayou Plaquemine Baptist Church in Plaquemin, La and the Friendship Baptist Church in Kilgore from 1993 until 2000. He had been active in both the Louisiana and Texas State Baptist Association.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Mobley of Longview; four daughters and sons-in-law, Pat and Ernest Brown of Tyler, Teresa and Clayton Henderson of Charlotte, N.C., Debbie and Ken Harrell of Kilbourne, La. and Sandy and Johnny Costello of Kilbourne, La.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Evonne Mobley of Washington, D.C. and Philip and Lisa Mobley of Plano; two brothers, Paul Mobley of Indianapolis, Ind., James Mobley of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; five sisters, Ruby Bowling of Green Castle, Ind., Opal McCoy of Brownstown, Ind., Bonnie Worley of Louisville, Ken., Hazel Eckler of Pittsboro, Ind., and Thelma Foreman of Indianapolis, Ind; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Sandra Kay (Sandy) Warren
HENDERSON — Services for Sandra Kay (Sandy) Warren, 55, the Jacobs Community of Rusk County, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2001 at Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home in Henderson. Burial will follow at Pirtle Methodist Cemetery.
Ms. Warren died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001 from a lengthy illness.
She was born June 22, 1946. She graduated from New London High School in 1964 and attended Kilgore College, the University of Missouri at Columbia, Mo., the University of Texas, and the University of Houston at Clear Lake City. She was a Navy veteran and an award-winning writer and photographer. She maintained a web site on women veterans’ health care. She had written for the Stars and Stripes, the Longview Morning Journal, the Kilgore News Herald, the Houston Chronical, the Dallas Morning News and UPI among others. She is the author of a novel, Gitmo is for Lovers, about her experiences as one of the first Navy women stationed at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Among other associations she was a charter member of Women in Military Service for America.
Survivors include her other, Inez Warren of the Jacobs Community; her sister, Susan Warren of Houston; her daughter, Jill Nienhiser of Alexandria, Va.; and several relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 7:30 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to the American Society or to the Humane Society.
Beatrice Boyd
Services for Beatrice Boyd, of Kilgore, were 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, 2001 at the Morning Star Baptist Church with Rev. B.B. Brown officiating. Burial followed at the Kilgore Memorial Gardens under the direction of Cunningham Funeral Home.
Mrs. Boyd died Friday, Nov. 9, 2001 in Longview.
She was born Jan. 30, 1912 in Waskom and joined the Union Baptist Church at an early age. She was a member of the Usher Board and the Mission Board.
Survivors include one daughter, Bertha L. Sheffield of Kilgore; one son, James Douglas of Lovelady; one sister, Mae Lizzie Reason of Dallas; 13 children; several grandchildren; and several nieces nephews and other relatives and friends.
Horace L. Wingfield, Sr.
Services for Horace Wingfield, 90, of Kilgore, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2002 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with Buddy Stovall officiating. Burial will follow in the Kilgore Cemetery.
Mr. Wingfield died Monday, Feb. 4, 2002 at his home.
He was born Jan. 13, 1912 in Okalona, Ark. to Jimmy Lee and Rosa Lena Bray Wingfield. Mr. Wingfield was a graduate of Wingfield High School near Okalona, Ark. He moved to Kilgore in 1930. Mr. Wingfield worked in the Oil Field most of his life. He retired after 30 years of service with Sun Oil Company. Mr. Wingfield was a longtime member of the First Christian Church where he was a deacon.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Horace L. Jr. and Pam Wingfield of Marshall, Texas; grandchildren, Horace L. “Trip” III and Donna Wingfield of Longview, Derek Wingfield of Longview; two-great-grandchildren, Jared and Justin of Longview; brother, Melvin Wingfield of Burbank, Calif.; two sisters-in-law, Pauline and Mildred Wingfield of Kilgore; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Mr. Wingfield was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Roxie Wingfield; four sisters and two brothers.
The family will receive friends at the Rader Funeral Home Tuesday evening between 6 and 7:30 p.m.

Pambly Bernice (Bea) Dotson
Services for Pambly Bernice (Bea) Dotson, 85, of Kilgore, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2002 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Kilgore with the Deacon Cliff Brunson officiating. Burial will follow in the Kilgore Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Dotson died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2002 in Tyler.
She was born Dec. 26, 1916 in Waynesboro, Tenn. to Amos and Mamie Butts Alley and was a longtime resident of Kilgore. Many people remember her as “Granny Bea.” She sold Avon cosmetics for 21 years and was an avid fan of playing bingo.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Arthur A. Dotson; two sons, Billy Lee and Jerry Wayne Dotson; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Survivors include one daughter, Shirley Dotson of Kilgore; four sons and daughters-in-law, James and Anita Dotson of Farmington, N.M., Larry and Bernice Dotson of Carthage, W.A. and Peggy Dotson of Henderson and Bobby and Weedy Dotson of Kilgore; one sister, Bobbie Wood of Aztec, N.M.; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and many other family and friends.
