MABEL SPEAR BEAN
Services for Mabel Spear Bean, 94, of Kilgore will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 23, 2004 at the First Presbyterian Church with the Revs. Dr. William J. Ingersoll and Roberta Dodds Ingersoll officiating. Burial will follow in the Danville Cemetery. She died Tuesday, April 20, in Kilgore.
Mrs. Bean was born July 31, 1909 in Marshall. She loved flowers. Mrs. Bean was past president of the Texas State Garden Club and a past board member of the National Chrysanthemum Society. She was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Bean is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Franz and Donna Spear of Dallas; two granddaughters, Courtney Elizabeth Watson of McKinney, Ashley Spear of Houston; a great-grandson, Clay Mikeska Watson of McKinney; sister, Gladys Crowley of Kilgore; her husband, Jack Bean of Kilgore, his daughters, Judy Shafer of Corsicana, Texas, Karolynn Harrell of Kilgore, Deborah Bean of Texarkana, Stephanie McGrew of Kilgore, Texas; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Franz M. Spear Sr.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 1216, Kilgore, Texas 75663.
Family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore from 6 to 7:30 Thursday evening.

LOREN F. BEEBE
Services for Loren F. Beebe, 86, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 24, 2004 at Grace Baptist Church with the Rev. Donald Beebe officiating. Burial will follow in the Danville Cemetery. Mr. Beebe went to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 21, in Kilgore.
Family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.

BOBBY JOE GUESS
Services for Bobby Joe Guess, 58, of Longview will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 24, 2004 at the Highland Park Baptist Church with the Rev. Riley Pippen officiating. Burial will follow in the Pirtle Cemetery. Mr. Guess passed away Wednesday in Longview after a courageous battle with cancer.
Bobby was born Nov. 23, 1945 in Kilgore. He was a member of the Highland Park Baptist Church and worked at Trinity Industries. Mr. Guess was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He also loved bowling, golfing and fishing.
His daughter, Karen Ann Criswell, and his father, Lawrence Ray Guess, precede Mr. Guess in death.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Guess of Longview; a daughter and son-in-law, Kim and John Taliaferro of White Oak; his mother, Thelma Guess of Kilgore; a granddaughter, Allison Taliaferro of White Oak; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Lawrence and Jan Guess of Richmond, Eddie and Carmen Guess of Kilgore and Michael and Mary Ann Guess of Grand Prairie; a sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Tom Forester of Blackstone, Va.; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family.
Memorials may be made to the Heartsway Hospice at 1306 Pine Tree Rd., Longview, Texas 75604.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, April 23, in the Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore.

HUBERT CLEAR WEAVER
Services for Hubert Clear Weaver, 86, of Longview were 10 a.m. Thursday, April 22, 2004 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel of Kilgore. Burial was in the Hickory Gorver Cemetery. Mr. Weaver died Monday, April 19, 2004 in Longview.
Pallbearers were Alvin Freeman, Brady Wayne Garrett, Alton Baker, Ricky Baker, Hubert Baker, Samuel Lasley, Nathan Weaver and John Paul Weaver.
He was born May 13, 1917 in Upshur County, the son of the late Edward and Laura Weaver. He was a longtime member of Pinecrest Baptist Church and after working over 30 years for Brashcar Production he retired as a foreman.
Preceding him in death were two sons, Hubert Clear Weaver Jr. and Hubert Wayman Weaver.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Ruby Lee Weaver of Longview; his children and their spouses, Clara Mae Gill of Kilgore, Ruby and Alvin Freeman of Orange, Barbara Baker and husband Sam Lasley of Kilgore, Mary and Brady Garrett of Kilgore and J.L. Weaver of Longview; 18 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many other loving family and friends.

ELSIE RUTH WILLIAMS
Services for Elsie Ruth Williams, 75, Kilgore were 2 p.m. Thursday, April 22, 2004 at the Hickory Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Freddie Ward and Riley Pippen officiating. Burial was in the Hickory Grove Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. Mrs. Williams passed away Sunday, April 18, 2004.
Pallbearers were Pete Roberts, Tim Ford, Tim Green, Glen Green and Howard Green.
She was born March 8, 1929 in Hallsville, the daughter of the late James and Iza Dora Ford. She had been a resident of Kilgore for over 38 years. Mrs. Williams was a loving wife and homemaker and all that knew her loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Williams; her brothers Raymond Ford, James Edward Ford, Robert Wendell Ford and Pete Ford; and three nephews.
Survivors include a brother, William David Ford of Kilgore; a sister, Hazel Kilgore of Houston; two sisters-in-law, Cindy Ford and Almeda Ford, both of Hallsville; and several nieces and nephews.

DANNY LYNN WILLIAMS
Services for Danny Lynn Williams, 57, of Boynton Beach, Fla., will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2004 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Kilgore with Mr. Ron Sellers officiating. Burial will follow in the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at 3 p.m. under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Kilgore. Mr. Williams passed away Thursday, May 27, 2004 in Boynton Beach, Fla.
He was born Nov. 25, 1946 in Kilgore to the late Roe and Etta Williams. He graduated from Kilgore High School in 1965. Mr. Williams served in Vietnam with the United States Navy from 1965-1969. He also was an F4 Phantom fighter pilot from 1972-1980 with the United States Marine Corps, achieving the rank of captain. Upon leaving the Marines, he flew for various companies as a corporate pilot. During the last 10 years, he was employed as captain for a private company based in Boca Raton, Fla.
Mr. Williams is survived by his beloved wife, Lisa Clandfield Williams of Boynton Beach, Fla.; children, Christi Whitten and husband March of Seattle, Wash., Kirk Williams and wife Angie of Trophy Club, Texas, Jason Williams and wife Alison of Austin, Texas, Jaimee Williams of Kilgore, Texas, and Morgan Clandfield of Boynton Beach, Fla.; grandchildren, Jack Whitten of Seattle, Wash., Kailyn Williams of Austin, Texas; brothers, Udolph (Doc) Williams of Houston, Jack Williams of Longview, Texas, Doug Williams of Kilgore, Texas, Don Williams of Fountain Valley, Calif., Doyle Williams of Odessa, Texas, Ronald Williams of Kilgore, Texas, and Fred Williams of Kilgore; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home Monday evening between 6 and 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

JOANNE NASH DYKES
Funeral services for Mrs. Joanne Nash Dykes, 71, of Kilgore were held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2004 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Kilgore with the Rev. James Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Kilgore Cemetery. Mrs. Dykes went to be with her Lord Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Jan. 27, 1933 in Iowa City, Iowa, daughter of the late Frank L. and Anna Elizabeth Nash. Mrs. Dykes was a member of Eastview Baptist Church and a homemaker. She retired from the Kilgore TG&Y Store. Mrs. Dykes and her husband were volunteers with the East Texas Disaster Relief at Morton Baptist Church in Diana and involved with many church and community actives.
She is survived by her husband of over 54 years, James Dykes of Kilgore; son and daughter-in-law, James F. and Margaret Dykes of Dallas; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Mike Johnson of Longview; brother and sister-in-law, Gervice and Jackie Nash of Fresno, Calif.; sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Jim Moore of Adrian, Mo.; grandchildren, Travis, Luke and Julia Whitehead, Ken and Liz Dykes, Amy and Alvin Wingo, Michael and Julie Johnson; one great-grandchild, Kelsi Wingo; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Greater Hospice of Longview, 1905 West Loop 281, Space 81, Longview, Texas 75604, or to East Texas Disaster Relief, C/O Morton Baptist Church, 22177 State Highway 154, Diana, Texas 75640.

MARY ALICE KIRK MCGLOTHEN
Funeral services for Mary Alice Kirk McGlothen, 80, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, at Broussard's, 1605 N. Major Drive, Beaumont, with burial to follow at Memorial Gardens in Henderson. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Tuesday evening, Aug. 24, at the mortuary.
Mrs. McGlothen quietly passed away at her home Sunday, Aug. 22, 2004 with her daughters by her side. She was a native of Slick, Okla. Mrs. McGlothen lived in Kilgore for 14 years and Opelousas, La., for 25 years before moving to Beaumont in 1982 to be near her family.
Mrs. McGlothen was a loving mother and wife, devoted to her family. She was a firm believer in love, church and discipline. She was active in P.T.A., holding several offices, as well as a Girl Scout leader for many years.
Mrs. McGlothen is preceded in death by her husband, James “Blondie” McGlothen; her parents, Peter and Maggie Kirk; brother, William Bradford Kirk; and three sisters, Faye Babare, Fern Logston and Peggy Nell Kirk.
She is survived by three daughters, Martha Huval and Sharon Lumpkin, both of Beaumont, and Marcella Dupuy and her husband Jerry of Liberty, Miss.; and five grandchildren, Kirk Fontenot of Beaumont, Denise Marshall of Village Mills, Tracey Lumpkin of Beaumont, Jason Caillouet of Busche, La., and Andrew Caillouet of Baton Rouge, La.

MELBA L. SCOTT
Funeral services for Melba L. Scott, 73, of Kilgore were 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, 2005 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Dennis Gilchrest officiating. Burial will follow in the Danville Cemetery. Miss Scott died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005 in Tyler.
She was born Oct. 14, 1931 in Brownwood to William T. and Carrie Scott. Miss Scott was raised in the Brownwood area and moved to Kilgore in the early 1990’s. She was more than just a resident of the Gregg Home for the Aged. Miss Scott was the past president of the Resident Council. She loved making sure the other residents were cared for and felt welcome at Gregg Home. She took pride in her daily mail and newspaper distributions to the residents. The entire Gregg Home Family will miss Miss Scott.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Juanita Hendricks; and a brother, Ira Scott.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Clara Scott of College Station; nieces and nephews, Bill and Diane Hendricks of Carrolton, David and Patricia Hendricks of Dallas, J. Scott and Patricia Hendricks of Arlington, Mary Kay Hendricks of Houston, Gene Scott of College Station, Julie and Bill Stkins of Waller; and other loving family members.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2005. The family will receive friends immediately following the rosary.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Gregg Home for the Aged, 144 FM 1252 West, Kilgore, TX 75662.

ANNIE MAE JONES
Funeral services for Annie Mae Jones, 90, of Tyler, formerly of Longview, were 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Longview with Rev. Lanny Bridges officiating. Interment followed in White Cemetery.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda and Ronny Bailey of Tyler, Dianne and Mac Lee of Kilgore; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, A.L. Hughes of Waco; sisters, Loma Gladney of Waco, Nell Walker of Longview, Mary Lou McPhearson of Mesquite, Elva Gladney of Oxnard, CA. and Jo Rodgers of Baytown.

LARRY C. GIBSON
LONGVIEW — Graveside services for Larry C. Gibson, 61, of Gladewater will be at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005 at Lakeview Memorial Gardens with Rev. John Taylor officiating. He passed away Jan. 25, 2005 in a Longview hospital.
Mr. Gibson was born June 12, 1943 in Longview to W.C. and Laverne Gibson.
He retired from Union Pacific Railroad as an engineer, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hallsville. He also served his country in the U.S. Army in Vietnam.
He is survived by his mother, Laverne Gibson of Hallsville; one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Casie Gibson of Ft. Walton Beach, FL.; one daughter, Jennifer Gibson of Little Elm; three sisters, Ann Rydell of Portland, OR., Marty Nelson of Hallsville, and Pat House of Winterhaven, FL.; three grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorial may be made to any local Alcoholics Anonymous Chapter.

RUTH PAULINE FULLER SMITH
Graveside services for Ruth Pauline Smith, 79, of Alvin, will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 27, 2005, at Cedar Lawn Haven of Rest at West Columbia with Pastor Judi Wilds officiating. Visitation will precede the service at Baker’s Funeral Home in West Columbia from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Mrs. Smith was born November 11, 1925, in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma, and died Saturday, January 22, 2005, at Clear Lake Regional Hospital in Webster, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Christopher (Lum) and Lula Bell Fuller, her husband, Elvin E. “Red” Smith, and 8 of her 9 siblings, Ted Fuller, Elmer Fuller, Gladys Fuller Harton, Abbie Fuller King, Ann Fuller Hensley, Ralph Fuller, Archie Fuller, and Patrick Fuller. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Lynn Smith and Larry and Carol Smith of Alvin; 1 granddaughter and 4 grandsons, Cortney Smith Poncio, Lance and Nicci Smith, Chance and Katie Smith, Kyle Smith and Laura Miller, and Chase and Oksana Smith; 6 great grandchildren, Kaylyn, Dalton, Drayton and Gage Smith and Addison and Pike Poncio; 1 sister, Peggy Fuller Rylander of Pasadena. and many other relatives.
Mrs. Smith was of the Baptist Faith, was a homemaker and a member of the Eastern Star Chapter #429.
