Pauline N. Tadlock
Services for Pauline N. Tadlock, 74, of Kilgore will be held at four o’clock p.m., Wednesday, February 20, 2002 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Kilgore with the Reverend Earl W. “Buddy” Duggins officiating. Burial will follow in the Kilgore Cemetery. Mrs. Tadlock passed away Sunday at her home in Kilgore.
Mrs. Tadlock was born January 7, 1928 in LuAnn, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Owen and Cora Morris. She was a member of the Forest Home Baptist Church, a loving and devoted mother, wife and grandmother and was a member of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam W. Tadlock, two sisters and four brothers.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Tadlock of Kilgore; a granddaughter LeeAnn Smith of Kilgore; three great grandchildren, Tony, Rebecca and Daniel all of Kilgore; several nieces, nephews and other loving family.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday night from six until eight o’clock.

Carol Tolbert Ware
Services for Carol Tolbert Ware, 60, of Kilgore will be ten a.m., Saturday, February 16, 2002 at the Rader Funeral Home with the Reverend Buddy Duggins officiating. Burial will follow in the Danville Cemetery. Mrs. Ware died Thursday, February 14, 2002 in Kilgore.
She was born November 7, 1941 in Kilgore to E.E. and Beulah Tolbert. Mrs. Ware attended Kilgore public schools and graduated from Kilgore High School. She worked as a telephone operator in Kilgore. Mrs. Ware was a Baptist and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #630. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Ware is survived by her husband, Donald “Duke” Ware of Kilgore; son and daughter-in-law, Sonny and Jeannie Ware of Kilgore; daughter, Susan Fairchild of Kilgore; six grandchildren, Amanda, Mark, Nicholas Audas of Kilgore, Joshua, Justin, Chance Ware of Kilgore; one sister, Tina Rutherford of Kilgore; one brother, Cloys Tolbert of White Oak; many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Ware was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Wanda T. King.
The family will receive friends at the Rader Funeral Home Friday evening between six and seven-thirty p.m.

Lona Cagle
Services for Lona Cagle, 94, of Kilgore will be held at two p.m., Saturday, February 16, 2002 at the Trinity Assembly of God Church in Kilgore with the Reverend Roger Hoffpowier officiating. Burial will follow in the Danville Cemetery. Mrs. Cagle passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2002 Hospice of East Texas Home Place in Tyler, Texas.
She was born August 23, 1907 in Sevier County, Arkansas the daughter of the late Jim and Sally Denson. Mrs. Cagle was a member of the Trinity Assembly of God.
Mrs. Cagle is survived by four daughters and a son in law, Betty L. Harrod of Kilgore, Jean Council Birt and James Birt of Liberty City, Wanda B. Smallwood of Liberty City and Peggy A. Jacobs of Kilgore; one son and daughter in law, Dale and Betty Cagle of Kilgore; a sister Jamie Henderson of Hooks, TX; thirty-five grandchildren; thirty-five great grandchildren; twenty great great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family.
Her husband William Ben Cagle who passed away in 1967 and two sons Jerry Cagle and Ben Cagle, Jr precede her in death.
The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home Friday evening between six and eight p.m.
The family requests that memorials be made to Hospice of East Texas, 3800 Paluxy Drive, Suite 560, Tyler, Texas 75703.

Bobby Lynn Wilson, Sr.
Graveside services for Bobby Lynn Wilson, Sr., 69, of Kilgore will be ten a.m., Wednesday, February 13, 2002 at Kilgore Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Don Beebe officiating. Mr. Wilson died Saturday, February 9, 2002 in a Longview Hospital.
He was born March 6, 1932 in Kilgore, Texas. He served our country in the U.S. Army During the Korean conflict. Mr. Wilson was a fireman in Kilgore in the early 1980’s. His brother Joe Bailey Wilson preceded him in death. Mr. Wilson was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Wilson of Kilgore; son, Bobby Wilson, Jr. of Kilgore; Stepson, Aaron Smith of Kilgore; Stepdaughter, Carolyn White of Kilgore; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Rader Funeral Home Tuesday evening between six and seven p.m.

Bessie Dunbar Henderson Dickson
Services for Bessie Dunbar Henderson Dickson, 97, of Ruston, Louisiana, formerly of Kilgore will be two p.m., Monday, February 11, 2002 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Kilgore, Texas. Reverend Dr. William J. Ingersoll will officiate. Burial will follow in the Alpine Cemetery, Longview, Texas.
She was born December 5, 1904 in Longview, Texas. Ms. Dickson was a teacher, porcelain artist, and a homemaker. She was a graduate of Longview High School and Marshall College, Marshall, Texas. Ms. Dickson was a member of the First Presbyterian Churches of Kilgore and Longview, Texas. Ms. Dickson enjoyed her bible studies. She studied with the Forum and Thursday Bible Club of Longview. Mrs. Dickson was a member of the Longview Garden Club and East Texas China Guild.
She is survived by daughter-in-law, Nancy Sain Henderson of Monroe, Louisiana; one sister, Kathleen Dunbar Mincey of Dallas, Texas; five grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roger Hoyt Henderson; her son, Thomas Waylon Henderson; and her daughter, Zuma LeGay Bracken.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home, Kilgore Texas, Monday between 12 noon and 2pm.

Martha Smith
Services for Martha Smith, 55, of Ennis, TX, formerly of Liberty City, will be 2:00 pm on Tues, February 12, 2002 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Kilgore, Mr. Leamon Keele officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery in Gladewater, TX. Mrs. Smith died Friday, February 8, 2002 in Ennis after an extended illness.
Born Martha Hays on March 18, 1946 in Natchez, MS, she was raised in Tensas Parish, LA and graduated Waterproof High School in 1964. She earned her BS degree in nursing from Northeast Louisiana University and married Joe Jack Smith of Liberty City, TX. Martha worked as an RN in West Monroe before moving to Kilgore, TX in 1981 where she was RN and Head of Nursing at Roy H. Laird Memorial Hospital. She moved to Ennis in 1989.
Martha is survived by her mother, Martha Hays of Waterproof, LA; two sons, Joe Scott Smith of Fort Worth, TX and Michael Smith of Decorah, IA; brothers and sisters, Corrine Talbert of New Orleans, Magruder Hays and Peter Hays of Lafayette, LA, and Betty Hazlip of Waterproof, LA; five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Known as “Super Nurse,” Martha Frances will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know her.

Billy Walker
Services for Billy Walker, 73, of Monroe will be ten a.m., Friday, February 8, 2002 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Dave Bishop officiating. Burial will follow in the Hickory Grove Cemetery. Mr. Walker died Wednesday, February 06, 2002 at his home.
He was born March 29, 1928 in Monroe. Mr. Walker attended Cross Roads and Kilgore Schools. He served our country in the U.S. Army from 1950 – 1956. Mr. Walker was a flooring installer and worked at Sabine Pipe and Supply Company. Mr. Walker was a member of the Faith Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Walker was an honest and helpful man.
He is survived by his step-children; Karen and Daze Graham of Henderson, Darlene and Larry McElrath of New Diana, Floyd and Wendy Gilliland of New Hope, James and Amy Gilliland of Kilgore; sister-in-law, Betty Jo Walker of Monroe; two nephews, Ken Ragle of Pirtle and Bobby Joe Walker of Monroe.
The family will receive friends at the Rader Funeral Home Thursday evening between six and seven-thirty p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hickory Grove Cemetery Association, 2405 Wychelm, Kilgore, Texas 75662.

Viola Splawn
Services for Mrs. Viola Splawn, 90, a fifty-year resident of Kilgore will be held at ten o’clock a.m., Tuesday, February 5, 2002 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Kilgore with the Reverend Riley Pippen officiating. Burial will follow in the Danville Cemetery.
She was born September 25, 1911 in Henderson, the daughter of the late Stephen and Carrie Burns. She worked many years as a registered nurse.
She is survived by three sons, Sam Splawn of Iowa Park, Texas, Melvin Splawn of Hearne, Texas and Mike Splawn of Kilgore; a brother Velton Burns of Dallas; two sisters Rosie Rolland and Carrie Moon both of Longview; five grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight from seven until eight o’clock.

Horace Wingfield
Services for Horace Wingfield, 90, of Kilgore will be two p.m., Wednesday, February 6, 2002 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with Buddy Stovall officiating. Burial will follow in the Kilgore Cemetery. Mr. Wingfield died Monday, February 4, 2002 at his home.
He was born January 13, 1912 in Okalona, Arkansas to Jimmy Lee and Rosa Lena Bray Wingfield. Mr. Wingfield was a graduate of Wingfield High School near Okalona, Arkansas. He moved to Kilgore in 1930. Mr. Wingfield worked in the Oil Field most of his life. He retired after 30 years of service with the Sun Oil Company. Mr. Wingfield was a longtime member of the First Christian Church where he was a deacon.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Horace L. Jr. and Pam Wingfield of Marshall, Texas; grandchildren, Horace L., “Trip” III and Donna Wingfield of Longview, Derek Wingfield of Longview; two great-grandchildren, Jared and Justin Longview; brother, Melvin Wingfield of Burbank, California; two sisters-in-law, Pauline and Mildred Wingfield of Kilgore; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Mr. Wingfield was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Roxie Wingfield; four sisters and two brothers.
Special thanks should be given to his caregivers, Frances Moseley and Ruby Manning.

Pambly Bernice (Bea) Dotson
Services for Mrs. Pambly Bernice (Bea) Dotson, 85, of Kilgore will be at ten o’clock a.m., Wednesday February 6, 2002 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Kilgore with the Deacon Cliff Brunson officiating. Burial will follow in the Kilgore Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Dotson passed away February 2, 2002 in Tyler.
She was born December 26, 1916 in Waynesboro, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Amos and Mamie Butts Alley. Mrs. Dotson was a longtime resident of Kilgore. Many people remember her as “Granny Bea”. She sold Avon cosmetics for twenty-one years. Mrs. Dotson was an avid fan of playing bingo. She leaves behind many loving family and friends that will continue to love and cherish the memories of the good times they shared with Granny Bea.
Mrs. Dotson is survived by her daughter Shirley Dotson of Kilgore; four sons and daughters-in-law James and Anita Dotson of Farmington, NM, Larry and Bernice Dotson of Carthage, TX, W.A. and Peggy Dotson of Henderson, TX, Bobby and Weedy Dotson of Kilgore; one sister Bobbie Wood of Aztec, NM; sixteen grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and many other loving family and friends.
Mrs. Dotson is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-two years Arthur A. Dotson, two sons Billy Lee and Jerry Wayne Dotson, three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
The family of Mrs. Dotson invites you to come by Shirley Dotson’s home, 3598 C.R. 195 D (Dudley Lane) in Kilgore and share your memories of Granny Bea with them.

John Edward Longmire
Services for John Edward Longmire, 81, of Kilgore will be two p.m., Saturday, February 2, 2002 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend James Boatman officiating. Full military honors will follow at the Danville Cemetery. Mr. Longmire died Thursday, January 31, 2002 in Longview, Texas.
He was born September 11, 1920 in Gadsden, Tennessee. Mr. Longmire served our country in the U. S. Army during WWII, receiving numerous medals including two purple hearts. He was a member of the First Pentecostal Church. Mr. Longmire retired after 35 years as a truck driver for American Supply Company.
Mr. Longmire is survived by six children, Stanley Longmire of Kilgore, Larry and Barbara Longmire of Kilgore, Gary and Paula Longmire of Jacksonville, Florida, Linda K. and Paul Joyner of Leverett’s Chapel, Jerry and Sherry Longmire of Houston, Texas, Terry and Robbie Longmire of Liberty City; a half brother, Grady Longmire of Gibson, Tennessee; a half sister, Rachel Linebaugh of Humbolt, Tennessee; twelve grandchildren, Heather Mecka, Paul Joyner, Dwayne Longmire, Domenick Longmire, Shane Longmire, Jerry Longmire, Jr., Amy Martin, Kim Longmire, Justin Longmire, Julie Longmire, Gary Longmire, Jr., Catherine Longmire; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
His wife, Pauline Longmire, preceded him in death in 1995.
The family will receive friends at the Rader Funeral Home Friday evening between six and eight p.m.
