Bill Glasco
Services for Bill Glasco, 64, of Kilgore will be ten o’clock in the morning, Saturday November 29, 2003 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverends Roy Hardin and Kenneth Charles officiating. Burial will follow at the Kilgore Cemetery in Kilgore. Mr. Glasco passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2003 in Kilgore.
He was born May 5, 1939 in Jefferson Texas to his parents Jack and Gracy Lee Glasco. Mr. Glasco was a member of the Full Gospel Assembly of God Church in Kilgore. He was a truck driver and was recently working for Mercer Trucking.
He is survived by his wife Glenna Racine Glasco of Kilgore; three sons and daughters-in-law William David and Shelly Glasco of Kilgore, Dennis Wayne and Rhonda Glasco of Tulsa and Thomas Darrell Glasco of Kilgore; two daughters and sons-in-law Kelly and Enrique Sanchez of Kilgore and Danna Kay and Lorenzo Ramirez of Kilgore; his mother Grace Walker of Kilgore; four brothers and sisters-in-law Jack and Brenda Glasco of Kilgore, James Arnold and Linda Glasco of Hawkins, Jerry Lee and Joanne Glasco of Avery and Billy John and Carrie Moore of Longview; four sisters and brothers-in-law Nancy and Z.T. Parker of Henderson, Wanda and Michael Phillips of Longview, Carol Sue Grissom of Longview and Betty Sue and Dale Brooks of East Mountain; eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
Mr. Glasco is preceded in death by his father Jack Glasco and a sister Lisa Gay Glasco.
The family will receive friends Friday, November 28, 2003, from six until eight p.m. in the evening at Rader Funeral Home of Kilgore.

June Lorraine Burns
Memorial services for June Lorraine Burns, 78, of Kilgore will be two p.m., Friday, November 28, 2003 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Robert Besser officiating. Mrs. Burns died Tuesday, November 25, 2003 in Kilgore.
She was born January 31, 1925 in Honesdale, Pennsylvania. Ms. Burns was a Lieutenant in the Civil Defense Service, a member of the Rebekah Lodge and the First Baptist Church. She was a nurse.
Ms. Burns is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen and David Sage of Kilgore, Judith Nelson of Amarillo, Texas, Diane and James Helms of Ogdensburg, New Jersey; a step son and his wife, Mike and Charlene Burns of Mansfield, Texas; a brother, William Cook of Florida; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and two nieces
Anne Griffin
Services for Mrs. Anne Griffin, 71, of Kilgore will be held at two o’clock in the afternoon, Saturday, November 29, 2003 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Kilgore with the Reverend Darren Harlan officiating. Burial will follow in the Danville cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home. Mrs. Griffin passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2003 in Kilgore.
She was born August 2, 1932 in the Pirtle community, the daughter of the late Ira Frank and Mary Ann Reid. She was a homemaker and a member of the Laird Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband Raymond Griffin of Kilgore; a daughter and son in law, Nancy and James Copeland of Kilgore; a son and daughter in law Mike and Stephanie Griffin of Orange, Massachusetts; three sisters Frankie Reed and husband Bill of Tyler, Cleo Pierce of Kilgore and Mary Warren of Overton; two grandchildren Jason and Matthew Copeland.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday night from six until eight o’clock.
Travis Fitch
Mass of Christian Burial will be recited for Travis L Fitch, 81, of Kilgore, Eleven O’clock a.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2003 at Christ The King Catholic Church in Kilgore. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2003 at One O’clock p.m. at Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Yoakum, Texas. Rosary services will be held Monday evening at Seven O’clock p.m. in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home
Travis L. Fitch went to be with our Lord on Saturday, November 29, 2003. He was born on September 4, 1922 in Lavaca County, Texas son of Sam and Lillian (Mason) Fitch. Travis was a Third Degree member of The Knight of Columbus at Christ the King Catholic Church in Kilgore, where he served for 45 years. He retired from Shell Oil Company after 33 years. Mr. Fitch served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.
His son Travis Fitch, Jr. parents Sam and Lillian Fitch, sisters Ethel Monk and Betty Clark, preceded him in death.
Mr. Fitch is survived by his wife of 54 years, Virginia E. (Lauer) Fitch of Kilgore; children, Robert Fitch of Kilgore, Diana Holmes and son-in-law Herman Holmes of Winona, Melissa Dow and son-in-law Eddie Dow of Tyler, Russell Fitch, Sr. and daughter-in-law Melissa Fitch of Kilgore; grandchildren, Carrie (Holmes) Evans of Winona, Robert Fitch, Jr. and Jason Fitch of Pittsburgh, Scott Holmes and Steve Holmes of Winona, Kristen Dow of Tyler, Amanda Fitch of Jasper, Russell Fitch, II and Travis P. Fitch of Kilgore; seven great grandchildren, brothers, James, Sam and Carl Fitch.
The Knights of Columbus will serve as Pallbearers and his grandsons will be Honorary Pallbearers.
The family will receive family and friends at the funeral home Monday from Six O’clock p.m. until Seven O’clock p.m.
Lawrence L. Manker
Services for Lawrence L. Manker, 80, of Kilgore, will be Two O’clock Saturday, December 6, 2003 at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Reverend Elwood Stetson officiating. Burial will follow at Kilgore City Cemetery.
Mr. Manker retired from the Marine Corp after a twenty-three year career with a number of decorations for honor and valor including the bronze star. He proudly served his country during World War II and the Korean War. He also retired from the Kilgore Police Department after fifteen years of service to his community.
Mr. Manker was preceded in death by his wife Verna Manker.
He is survived by his daughter Cheryl Manker and her husband Adam Tollett of Flint, Texas; grandchild Zachary Tollett of Flint; sister Pearlene Neal of Houston, Texas; friend, Jo Anne Preddy of Longview, Texas; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive family and friends at the funeral home Friday, December 5, 2003 from Six O’clock p.m. until Seven-thirty p.m.
Earl Howard Robinson
Services for Earl Howard Robinson, 92, of Kilgore formerly of El Campo, Texas will be Eleven O’clock a.m., Thursday, December 11, 2003 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Sven Larson officiating burial will follow at Danville Cemetery. Mr. Robinson passed away Sunday, December 7, 2003 at Sunshine Nursing Center in New London.
He was born June 3, 1911 in Beaumont son of the late James and Neosha Robinson. Mr. Robinson was a member of the Church of Christ Church. He retired from Texaco. Mr. Robinson and his wife of 73 years Louise moved from El Campo to Kilgore about 2 ˝ years ago.
Mr. Robinson is survived by his wife, Louise Robinson of Kilgore; two sons, Earl Wayne Robinson and his wife Alba of Rockville, MD. and Tommy Robinson and his wife Darlene of Kilgore; seven grandchild and several great and great grandchildren
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 6:30 at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore.
Imogene Roberts Florence
Services for Imogene Roberts Florence, 75, of Kilgore will be two p.m., Thursday, December 11, 2003 at the First Presbyterian Church with the Reverend Dr. William J. Ingersoll officiating. Burial will be in the Kilgore Cemetery. Mrs. Florence died Monday, December 8, 2003 in Kilgore.
She was born February 20, 1928 in Norphlet, Arkansas. Her family moved to Kilgore when she was two years old. Mrs. Florence was a graduate of Kilgore High School and Kilgore College. She worked at Kilgore National Bank in the 1940’s and 1950’s. Imogene Roberts married Jack Florence March 19, 1955. They lived in many places following Jack’s job including Parkersburg, Virginia from 1971 to 1982 where Imogene was a teacher. The Florence’s moved back to Kilgore in 1996.
Mrs. Florence is survived by her husband Jack Florence of Kilgore; a daughter and son-in-law, Ida Penny and Bobby Huey of Kilgore; two grandchildren, Mary Ruth Huey and Bobby Jack Huey of Kilgore; a special friends Gay and Mike Van Etta of Lafayette, Louisiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vesta and Revis Roberts; and her brother, James Leo Roberts.
The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home Wednesday evening between five-thirty and seven p.m.

Johnnie Council
Services for Johnnie Council, 90, of Henderson will be four p.m. Thursday, December 11, 2003, in the Chapel at Rader Funeral Home of Kilgore with the Pastor Charlie Stevens of Crossroads Methodist Church in Kilgore officiating. Interment will be Friday at eleven a.m. at Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston, Texas with the Reverend Jim Clements of North Main Baptist Church in Liberty. Mrs. Council passed away Monday, December 8, 2003 in Henderson, Texas.
Mrs. Council known to friends and family as Me-John was born December 7, 1913 in Smithville, Texas. Mrs. Council at the age of thirteen started her career at the AT&T telephone Company in San Antonio, Texas. She married James William (Jack) Fisk on October 30, 1931 in Seguin, Texas. She was later transferred to Houston and completed forty-three years of service with AT&T. After the death of her first husband, she married Lemuel Loggans Council on July 11, 1982.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Henderson and the Crossroads Methodist Church in Kilgore. She was also involved in the Telephone Pioneers of America, the Joy Singers of Henderson, the Kilgore Civic Garden Club and the Kilgore Friends of the Library.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Charmaine and Bill Huffman of Henderson, Texas; five grandchildren and spouses Chuck and Liz Johnson of Henderson, Jeff and Toni Johnson of Buna, Douglas and Suzanne George of Liberty, John and Jackie Galindo of Houston and Richard Johnson of Beaumont; seven great grandchildren Crews Johnson, Jeffrey Johnson, Nicole Johnson, Zachary Johnson, Jacquelyn Johnson, Nathan Johnson, J.C. Galindo; as well as seven nieces and one nephew Roxanna Pelata of New Braunfels, Florence Lloyd of Waller, Betty Lou Pawlik of San Antonio, her name sake Johnnie Lee Levy of San Antonio, Josephine Mangold of San Antonio, Jo Ann Fisk, Maudine Fisk and Billy Fisk.
Mrs. Council is preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Jessie Mae Marler Went, brother Oscar Colquit (Jack) Went and sister Robbie Mae Wert.
The family would like to express a special thanks to the Henderson Health & Rehabilitation Center and the Assist Care of Henderson with the wonderful ladies who took care of Mrs. Council. Also to the ministers and members of the First United Methodist Church in Henderson, the Crossroads Methodist Church in Kilgore and the First Baptist Church of Henderson.
Mrs. Council’s grandsons and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. at Rader Funeral Home of Kilgore.
Sherry Ann "Brown" Laney
Services for Sherry Ann “Brown” Laney, 63, of Kilgore will be held at ten o’clock in the morning, Friday, December 12, 2003 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Dr. Joe Hocking officiating. Burial will follow in the Danville Cemetery. Mrs. Laney died Monday, December 8, 2003 at her home in Kilgore.
She was born on November 21, 1940 in Kingsville, Texas to Garland and Hazel Brown. Mrs. Laney attended Kilgore schools and lived in Kilgore since 1943. She was a member of the Eastview Baptist Church.
Mrs. Laney is survived by her husband Doyle Laney of Kilgore; step-son Phillip Neal Laney of Kilgore; mother Hazel Brown Rucker of Kilgore; uncle James Collins of Sabine, Texas; aunt Lorene Collins of Longview, Texas; many cousins and loving family friends.

James Henson
Graveside services for James Regan Henson, 62, of Overton will be held three o’clock p.m., Wednesday, December 17, 2003 at the Pleasant Hill cemetery with the Reverend Ronny Glover officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. Mr. Henson died Friday night in an Overton nursing home.
He was born April 26, 1941 in Kemp, Texas the son of the late James and Eunice Henson. He was a roughneck and a Baptist.
His four brothers Jim, Homer, Floyd and Bill Henson preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife Jonell Henson of Overton; two daughters, Sherry Higginbotham of Henderson and Summer Rose Henson of Henderson; one son Darryl Henson of Gilmer; one step-daughter Becky Mitchell of Kilgore; four sisters, Mrs. Doyle Green, Dorothy Watkins and Lottie Dean all of Kilgore and Juanita Watkins of New London; a brother Edward Henson of Carlisle and nine grandchildren.
