Funeral services for Dinisha Deshon Walker, 27, of Kilgore are pending at Victory Funeral Services of Kilgore. Mrs. Walker died Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at a Longview hospital.
JACK P. PATTON
Services for Jack P. Patton, 76, of Kilgore were 2 p.m. Friday, July 2, 2004 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Robert and Pam Besser officiating. Burial was in Lee Cemetery in Winnsboro. Mr. Patton passed away Tuesday, June 29, at his home in Kilgore.
Pallbearers were Wes Richers, Willie Roberts, Wendell Holcombe, James Kennedy, Jim Aills, Ray Miller and Cabel Hale. Honorary pallbearers were Nick Holley and Morris Sage.
Mr. Patton was born Oct. 10, 1927 in Lockhart to the late James and Dolores Patton. He was a member of the St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. Mr. Patton was retired from Mobil Oil where he worked as a supervisor for nearly 40 years. After retirement he worked with his brother at Patton Corporation. He also served in the United States Army where he was stationed in Japan.
His parents, five brothers and three sisters precede Mr. Patton in death.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Vivian Patton of Kilgore; son and daughter-in-law, John Robert and Donna Patton of Odessa; daughter, Sallie Patton Hamilton of Azle; granddaughter, Victoria Hamilton of Azle; sister, Anna Belle Collins of Houston; brother, Allen Patton of Luling; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
JOHN WILLIAM LOWE
Graveside services for John William “Bus” Lowe, 93, were 2 p.m. Friday, July 2, 2004 at the Laneville Cemetery. Mr. Lowe died Thursday, July 1, in the company of his beloved son in Irving.
He was born Feb. 10, 1911 in Reklaw. Bus was a wonderful and dedicated teacher and coach for 32 years, including 22 years at Kilgore teaching agriculture. He retired in 1976 to Henderson where he enjoyed playing dominos with friends and raising cattle on his farm in Laneville.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and grace Lowe of Bedford, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Katherine Lowe; a sister, Margaret Lowe; and his wife, Hazel Lowe.

Services for Jessie Anthony, 70, of Henderson’s Brachfield Community are pending with Southern Funeral Home. Mr. Anthony died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004 at HavenCare Nursing and Rehab Center in Longview.

CORSICANA — Funeral services for Roosevelt Holt, 87, of Streetman, formerly of Kilgore, will be Saturday, March, 5, 2005 at 1 p.m. in Taylor’s Memorial Church of God in Christ with Pastor Floyd Taylor and Assistant Pastor Willie G. Brown as eulogist. M.R. Smith Parlor for Funerals of Corsicana is in charge of arrangements. He died Feb. 25, 2005 at Navarro Regional Hospital in Corsicana.
He was born Aug. 12, 1917 in Kilgore.
He is survived by wife, Alice Fay Holt of Streetman; two sisters-in-law, Carrie Haynes of Streetman and Ethel Griffin of Corsicana.
Visitation will be from noon-8 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2005 at the funeral home.
KIMBERLY RENEE SANDERS
Funeral services for Kimberly Renee Sanders, 29, of Henderson will be 1 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2005 at South oak Church of Christ in Henderson with Bro. Edward Nolan Sr. , Gerald Sarpy Sr., Frank Blanton and Earnest Mills officiating. Burial will follow in Garrett Cemetery, New Salem Community. She died Feb. 25, 2005 at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital in Nacogdoches.
She was born Nov. 26, 1975 in Henderson to J.W. and Ethel Sanders and attended Henderson schools. She was a member of South Oak Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by his father, J.W. Sanders.
She is survived by her mother, Ethel Sanders of Henderson; step-mother, Florence Smith of Dallas; two children, Bria Lewis and Nicholas Williams both of Henderson; two sisters, Mia and Marcus Jackson and Alicia Sanders, all of Henderson; two brothers, Jerry Wayne Freeny of Dallas and Vinson and Lesa Henson of Henderson; grandparents, Bessie Henson of Hendson and Johnny Henson Sr. of Riverside, CA.
Pallbearers will be Harold Johnson, R.D. Sanders, Jeffery Henson, Copetina Fletcher, Clavin Sanders and Albert Henson Sr.
Honorary pallbearers will be brothers of the South Oak Church of Christ.

Alice Marie Brown
Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Marie Brown, 75, of Houston, formerly of Kilgore, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2002, in the chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Kilgore with the Rev. Ronald Glover officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Chapel Cemetery in Carthage.
Mrs. Brown died Saturday, July 29 in San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown.
Mrs. Brown was born Aug. 3, 1926 in Henderson, daughter of the late William and Ruby Barnes Winegeart. She attended New London schools and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Allen Brown, Harold Brown, JoAnn and James LaBeff, Martha Brown and Kay Spencer all of Kilgore, Fay and Ben Thompson of Longview, Betty and Gary Smith of Houston, Jimmie Baker and Larry Johnson of Dallas; two sisters, Thelma Pyle of Grand Prairie and Margaret Muncy of Kilgore; sister-in-law, Maxine Winegart of Midland; a special friend, Bill Bryant of Kilgore; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Jo Winegart.
The family will receive friends at the funeral hme from 7 until 9 p.m. Tuesday.
Janice Grimes
Memorial services for Janice Grimes, 54, of Kilgore, will be held at noon Wednesday, July 3, 2002 at Forest Home Baptist Church with the Rev. Buddy Duggins officiating. She died Sunday at her residence.
Mrs. Grimes was born Sept. 15, 1947 at Scott Air Force Base in Belleville, Ill. She was a loving mother and wife and was an office manager of Dowden Building Material.
She is survived by her husband, Dale Grimes of Kilgore; two sons, Michael Wellman of Illinois and Christopher Wellman of Longview; one granddaughter, Jayden Wellman of Longview; her mother, Doris Waltz of Belleville, Ill.; a sister and brother-in-law, Colette and Ron Denfeld of Longview; and many other loving family members.
Connie Warren Mumphrey
Services for Connie Warren Mumphrey, 78, of Kilgore, will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2002 at Mt. Pleasant CME Church with Rev. Perfit Atkins officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Victory Funeral Services.
Mrs. Mumphrey died Wednesday, June 26, 2002 at her residence in Kilgore.
She was born June 20, 1924 in Kilgore to John and Willie Samples Warren. She attended Gregg County schools and graduated from C.B. Dansby High School and Texas College. She accepted Christ at an early age and united with Mt. Pleasant CME Church. She served her church as pianist for many years. She had a passion for gospel music and playing the piano. Her service to the church included being a member of the board of evangelism and vice-president of the missionary society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Quentin Mumphrey, Sr.; two brothers, Cornelius Warren, Sr. and Rev. Preston Warren; and her parents.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Quentin Mumphrey, Jr. and Bredget of Longview; one daughter and son-in-law, Sathedia and Glenn Bush of San Antonio; four grandchildren; one aunt; three sisters-in-law, Doris Mauldin, Dorothy Darden and Shirley Allen and husband Larkland; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m., and the family will receive friends from 7 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Paul Horton
Graveside services for Paul Horton, 81, of Kilgore, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2002 at the Williams Cemetery in Smith County with the Rev. Jason Altman officiating.
Mr. Horton died Sunday, June 30, 2002 in Kilgore.
He was born Nov. 8, 1920 in Arp and attended Arp public schools. He managed the Overton theater before serving in the U.S. Army during WWII. After the service he returned to Overton where he established Horton’s Drive-in. Mr. Horton later opened Horton’s Drive-in of Kilgore. He was a Baptist and a member of the VFW and American Legion.
He was preceded in death by a brother, O.Z. Horton; and a sister, Blanche Crow.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Charlotte and Frank Green of Springtown and Ester and Dick Turner of Jacksonville; one son and daughter-in-law, James Paul and Dianne Horton of Houston; brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Martha Horton of Kilgore; sister-in-law, Novie Horton of Conroe; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends fom 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
