TULIA - Memorial services for Janice Kay Cowan Riley, 62, of Athens, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Wallace Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rob Lindley, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery by Wallace Funeral Home.
Mrs. Riley died Tuesday, May 20, 2003.
She was born Oct. 8, 1940, in Tulia, the daughter of W.C. “Daddy Dub” and Carrie “Momsie” Cowan.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Riley of Athens; two sons and daughters-in-law, Rodney and Debbie Hamilton of Greenville, Craig and Julie Hamilton of Rowlett; a daughter and son-in-law, Stacey and Michael Gray of Mesquite; a stepdaughter, Shannon Riley of Austin; a sister, Carole Kincaid of Abilene; and four grandchildren.

Mrs. Quarles died Tuesday, June 17, 2003.
She was born Aug. 4, 1914 in Oakwood. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church and Heroines of Jericho (Lilies of the Field).
Her husband, Porter Quarles, is deceased.
Survivors include a daughter, Bessie Louise Williams; a sister, Frankie Lee Carter of Wortham, formerly of Plainview; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special adoptees, Sammie Davis and Obra Smith.

Troy Cummings
FLOYDADA - Memorial services for Troy E. Cummings, 76, of Gulfport, Miss., will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church in Floydada.

Mr. Cummings died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002.
He was born in Oklahoma and grew up in Texas. He attended Texas Tech and served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He had lived on the Mississippi Gulf Coast since 1978. He was employed with Halliburton Industries from 1948 until retiring in 1986.
Survivors include his wife, Elena; a brother, Foster Cummings of Lubbock; and a sister, Loveta Linehan of Weatherford.
The family suggests memorials to a local humane society.

Torres Jr., of Tahoka; five brothers, Santiago J. Lee Cowart
PRYOR, Okla. - Private family funeral services will be held for Lee A. Cowart, 81, former Plainview resident.
Arrangements are by Shipman´s Jim Green Funeral Home.
Mr. Cowart died Thursday evening, July 31, 2003, in St. John´s Medical Center in Joplin, Mo.
He was born Sept. 18, 1921, in Plainview, the son of John Henry and Jessie Sauls Cowart. He served in the U.S. Army from 1939-45 and was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8380 in Grove, Okla.
He was a self-employed painting contractor until retirement.
He is survived by many loved ones and friends.

Mrs. Jones died Saturday, March 2, 2002, at 2:45 a.m. in Covenant Hospital in Plainview.
She was born April 24, 1924, in Plainview. She graduated from Springlake High School as valedictorian in 1937 and attended Texas State College for Women, Texas Tech and Lubbock Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She graduated with honors from the University of Colorado with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She was a nurse at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Amarillo and also other hospitals. She retired in Kerrville, where she lived for many years, but moved back to Plainview.
Survivors include a niece and her husband, Renee and Lonnie Wilson of Springlake; a nephew, Charlie H. Jones of Clyde; and a sister-in-law, Flossie Jones of Olton.
