Bryce Norwood
CANYON - Funeral services for Bryce Norwood, 82, were at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Gayle Bowen and the Rev. David Lowrie, pastor, officiating.
Burial was in Dreamland cemetery by Brooks Funeral Directors.
Mr. Norwood died Sunday, Oct. 12, 2003, in Plainview.
He was born Feb. 22, 1921, in Danville, Ark., the son of the late William and Susan Hunt Norwood. He farmed in the New Deal Community for 30 years and retired in 1983 and moved to Canyon.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Canyon.
On Dec. 21, 1941, he married
Geneva Smith in Chickasha, Okla. She died in 1997.
Survivors include three daughters, Rebecca Goebel of Abernathy and Glenda Wilkerson and Suzan Norwood, both of Canyon; a sister, Eudell Prather of Canyon; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Ethel Mae Smith
OLTON - Funeral services for Ethel Mae Smith, 86, were at 2 p.m. today in Bohner Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Bobby Lawson officiating.
Burial was in Olton cemetery by McCarty Funeral Home of Littlefield.
Mrs. Smith died at 6 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, 2003, at her residence.
She was born Nov. 16, 1916, in Roseburg. She attended Roseburg schools and later moved to Olton. She was a homemaker and a member of Bohner Chapel Baptist Church.
In 1966, she married
Andrew Smith.
Survivors include her husband; a sister, Nettie Sworn of Waco; and a niece, Della Taylor.
Pallbearers will be Dave Allen, Donald Robinson, Marvin Washington, Roosevelt Houston, Glenn Washington, Robert Washington and Walter Washington.

Sarah Helena Todd
Funeral services for Sarah Helena Todd, 86, of Lubbock, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Wood-Dunning Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Merle Fulmer, pastor of Lakeridge Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home.
Mrs. Todd died at 9:10 p.m. Sunday in Bender Terrace in Lubbock.
She was born Jan. 31, 1917, in Atoka, Okla. She moved to Wellington in 1944, to Kress and then Plainview in 1958.
She lived in Fort Worth and Arlington during the 1970s where she managed apartments. She moved to Lubbock in 1980 and worked at Sherrick Home for Ladies before retiring. She had lived in Mackenzie House Assisted Living before moving to Bender Terrace.
She was a member of Lakeridge Baptist Church.
On Nov. 27, 1932, she married
Edward Todd. He died in February 1988.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Houchin of Wilson; a son, Jerry Todd of Eureka, Nev.; two sisters, Edith Muriel Todd of Jackson, Tenn., and Jo Taber of Orville, Wash.; 12 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Shirley McLain, died April 4, 1999.
The family suggests memorials to Lakeridge Baptist Church in Lubbock.

She was born Oct. 14, 1911, in Centerville, Kan., and grew up in Linn County, Kan.
She was a homemaker and worked as a cook at Cadmus Grade School and Holiday Manor Nursing Home in Osawatomie, and was an Avon representative.
She married
Glenn W. Davey on Jan. 26, 1931, in Parker. He died Jan. 28, 1993.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Shirley Davey and Rex and Wanda Davey, all of Plainview; three daughters and a son-in-law, Barbara Fowler of Plainview, Joyce Burns of Gladstone, Mo., and Evonna and Richard McIntosh of Neosho, Mo.; four sisters, Alta Riblett and Eva Spencer, both of Greeley, Kan., Nadine Boydston of La Cygne, Kan., and Betty Bilderback of Garnett; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and four step-great-great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to First Christian Church or to Seth Ward Baptist Church.
