David T. Howell
SOUTHLAKE - Memorial services for David T. Howell, 40, will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday in First United Methodist Church in Grapevine.
Lucas Funeral Home, 200 W. College in Grapevine, is handling arrangements.
Mr. Howell died Sunday, March 24, 2002, in a Dallas hospital after a three-year battle with leukemia.
He graduated from Plainview High School and from Angelo State University in 1986. He began working with Fidelity Investments and was a senior account executive.
He married
Jinx Frock in 1988.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Katye of Southlake; three sons, Rowdy, Riley and Zachary Howell, all of Southlake; his mother, Hiroka Howell of Plainview; a brother and sister-in-law, Joey and Linda Howell of Rockwall; a sister and brother-in-law, Becky and Damon Bagley of Brownwood; his father-in-law, John Frock, and his wife, Margrit of San Angelo; and his sisters-in-law, Yvette Gottshall of Essek, Vt., and Sylva Frock of Dallas.
His father, Thomas Edwin Howell, is deceased.
The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. today at funeral home and suggests memorials to the David T. Howell Memorial Fund at Bank of America for the benefit of his children, a donation of blood or registry with the Bone Marrow Registry.

James C. Jacobs
LOCKNEY - Memorial services for James C. Jacobs, 86, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Lemons Memorial Chapel in Plainview with R. Edwin Norris of Silverton officiating.
Burial of the cremains will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home.
Mr. Jacobs died at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2002, in Mangold Memorial Hospital.
He was born March 27, 1915, in Arkansas. He grew up in the Silverton and Turkey areas where he attended schools. He was a rancher.
On Dec. 31, 1936, he married
Della Askey. She died in 1978.
Survivors include one daughter, Janie Getz of Fort Worth; four stepdaughters, DeAnn Burson and Martha Hawk, both of Silverton, Doris Marier of Irving, and Lynn Marier of Floydada; one brother, Joe Jacobs of Plainview; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A son, James A. Jacobs, is deceased.

Petra Rendon
HOBBS, N.M. - Funeral Mass for Petra Rendon, 92, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the Rev. Pedro Valdez officiating.
Burial will be in Prairie Haven cemetery by Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.
Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel.
Mrs. Rendon died Monday, March 25, 2002.
She was born June 15, 1909, in Zaragosa, Coahuila, Mexico. She married
Natividad Rendon. He died Oct. 5, 1972.
She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Guadalupanas, Legion of Maria, and Cursillistas.
Survivors include four sons, Lauriano Rendon of Tempe, Ariz., and Simon, Nat and Telesforo Polo Rendon, all of Hobbs; two daughters, Nora Carrasco of Lubbock and Julia Garza of Casa Grande, Ariz.; five sisters, Martha Garcia of San Angelo, Trine Nunez of Ballinger, Petra Pena of Plainview, Gabriela Martinez of Brownfield and Juanita Perez of San Diego, Calif.; 31 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
Three sons, Isac Rendon, Deltino Rendon and Ysidoro “Lolo” Rendon, are deceased.
The family suggests memorials to Good Samaritan Village, 1701 N. Turner, Hobbs, N.M. 88240.

Nora Voyles
Funeral services for Nora Voyles, 73, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in First Assembly of God with the Rev. Randy Santiago, pastor, officiating.

Mrs. Voyles died at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, March 24, 2002, in IHS of Plainview.
She was born Nov. 7, 1928, in Plainview where she grew up. She was a homemaker and a member of First Assembly of God.
On Sept. 3, 1944, she married
Earnest Voyles in Plainview.
Survivors include her husband; seven sons, Richard, Tracy, Jimmy and Jacky Voyles, all of Plainview, David Voyles of Amarillo, Mark Voyles of Arcadia, Okla., and Kenny Voyles of Abilene; one daughter, Gloria Alston of Hale Center; two brothers, Earl Claton and Troy Claton, both of Oklahoma; four sisters, Imogene Mow of Plainview, Leta Mow of Brownwood, Mildred Wilson of Amarillo and Wyona Newton of Dallas; 23 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
Jessie Amerson
ABERNATHY - Funeral services for Jessie Audrey Amerson, 78, were Thursday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Gene Amerson and Rev. William Mayo officiating.
Burial was in City of Lubbock cemetery by Abell Funeral Home in Abernathy.
Mrs. Amerson died Tuesday, May 28, 2002.
She was born on Feb. 16, 1924, in Blum. She was a lifelong resident of Abernathy and a member of First United Methodist Church. She married
Alvis Preston Amerson on Dec. 15, 1942.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Gene Amerson of Denison; three daughters, Deanna Cole and Sharon Robertson, both of Shallowater, and Dawn Westmoreland of Abernathy; a brother, E.J. Pope Jr. of Abernathy; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Virginia Olien Bilbrey
LOCKNEY - Graveside services for Virginia Olien Bilbrey, 83, will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Lockney cemetery with the Rev. Harold Abney officiating.
Burial will be by Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home of Lockney.
Mrs. Bilbrey died Saturday, June 1, 2002, in Lockney.
She was born Dec. 20, 1918, in Texoma, Texas, to the late W.A. and Virginia Buford Storr. She moved to Hollis, Okla. in 1926 and graduated from Hollis High School. She moved from Hollis to Lubbock in 1942. She also attended nursing school in Plainview. In 1946, she moved to Lockney where she was an LVN for 27 years.
She was a member of the Church of Christ, the Order of the Eastern Star and the Oddfellows Lodge Auxiliary.
Her husband, Truett Bilbrey, died in 1995.
Surviving are a son, Leland Bilbrey of Lockney; a sister, Billy Behlen of Lubbock; a grandson, Shane Bilbrey of Ballinger; and numerous nieces and nephews.

George W. Garner
LUBBOCK - Memorial services for George W. Garner, 81, of Lubbock, will be at 4 p.m. Monday in the Northside Church of Christ in Lubbock with David Luke officiating.
Services are under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy.
His body was donated to the Texas Tech Health Science Center.
Mr. Garner died Saturday, June 1, 2002.
He was born Feb. 2, 1921, in Plainview and married
Geraldine “Gerry” White on Nov. 3, 1947, in Lubbock.
Mr. Garner served in the U.S. Navy, with the Seabees as a ship´s cook, during World War II.
He worked as a dry cleaner in the Lubbock area until his retirement.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Sandra Kay Shropshire of New Deal; a brother, Bill Garner of Lubbock; two granddaughters, Tawnya May of Abernathy and Tiffany Villegas of New Deal; and three great-granddaughters, Kay´D and Allison Villegas, both of New Deal, and Kelbi May of Abernathy.
