Wilda Millican

GIRARD - Graveside services for Wilda Jane Millican, 80, of Floydada, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Girard cemetery with Doug Rainbolt officiating.

Burial arrangements are by Campbell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Millican died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2000, in Floydada.

She was born Nov. 16, 1919, in Girard. She lived most of her life in Kent and Palmer counties. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ

On May 4, 1940, she married Floyd Millican in Girard. He died June 11, 1994.

Survivors include a sister, Lorilla Bradley of Floydada.

J.D. Roberts

HALE CENTER - Funeral services for J.D. Roberts, 77, are pending with Freeman-Abell Funeral Home.

Mr. Roberts died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2000 in Hi-Plains Hospital.

Charlene Bradley

HALE CENTER - Funeral services for Charlene Bradley, 68, will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Lemons Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Larry Watts, pastor of Freedom Worship in Freeport, officiating.

Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Plainview by Lemons Funeral Home.

Mrs. Bradley died at 12:20 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2000, in University Medical Center in Lubbock.

She was born June 6, 1931, in Jones County. She grew up in the Stanford area and in 1943 she moved to the Lorenzo/Ralls area. She moved to Hale Center in 1948 and worked as a nurse´s aide for Central Plains Hospital in Plainview for three years.

She was a charter member of First Assembly of God Church in Abernathy and attended Southside Assembly of God in Plainview.

On Nov. 6, 1981, she married Walter Bradley in Floydada.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Gracie and Paul Brown of Plainview, Peggy and Charles Lankford of Lubbock and Betty Harcrow of Austin; five brothers, Elmer Watts, Orvan Watts and Harmon Watts, all of Mineral Wells, Delton Watts of Durant, Okla., and Larry Watts of Freeport; one sister, Pearl Grigsby of Point; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Genoveva Garcia

ABERNATHY - Funeral Mass for Genoveva Esparza Garcia, 75, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in St. Isidore Catholic Church with the Rev. Louis Dussan, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park in Lubbock by Guajardo Funeral Chapels of Lubbock.

Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Garcia died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2000, in University Medical Center.

She was born Jan. 3, 1925, in Rosebud. She moved to Abernathy in 1981 and was a homemaker and member of St. Isidore Catholic Church.

On March 17, 1945, she married Ynez Garcia in Cameron.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Johnny E. Garcia of Abernathy; two daughters, Rosa Palacios and Kathy Walls, both of Abernathy; a brother, Joe Esparza of Oklahoma; four grandchildren; a stepgrandchild; and two great-grandchildren.

Reginald Landrum

Memorial services for Reginald W. Landrum, 97, will be 11 a.m. Friday in Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Phillip Jones, pastor, officiating.

Cremation arrangements are by Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home of Lockney.

Mr. Landrum died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2000, in IHS.

He was born Sept. 2, 1902, in Waco. He moved to Lockney where he attended schools and Lippert´s Business College in Plainview. He retired as a carpenter in 1988 and moved to Plainview. He was a Baptist.

On June 12, 1928, he married Ada Fay Race in Tulia.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Sandra Thompson of Plainview; two sons, Murriel Ray Landrum and Floyd Dennis Landrum, both of Little Rock, Ark.; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Rosa Abbott

DUMAS - Funeral services for Rosa Abbott, 70, of Canyon, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Toby Huckabee, a son-in-law who is pastor of Illinois Chapel in Prairie Grove, Ark., officiating.

Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens by Morrison Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Abbott died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2000.

She was born in Oklahoma City. She moved to Dumas in 1979 and to Canyon in 1996. She had worked in the cafeteria of Green Acres School in Dumas.

She was a homemaker and a member of Temple Baptist Church.

In 1996, she married Cliff Abbott in Dumas.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Rosa Lee Huckabee of Cane Hill, Ark.; two sons, Larry Bontke and Wesley Bontke, both of Dumas; a sister, Betty Lou Weige of Dumas; two brothers, Edward Wilkins of Plainview and Floyd Wilkins of California; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family will be at 804 Normandy in Dumas. Memorials are suggested to Temple Baptist Church Missionary Fund, 311 N. Maddox, Dumas, TX 79029; or to Baptist St. Anthony´s Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79176-0001.

Opal Lee Boggs

QUITAQUE - Graveside services for Opal Lee Boggs, 89, of Panhandle, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Rest Haven cemetery in Quitaque with the Rev. Don Hill, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Tulia, officiating.

Burial arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home in Amarillo.

Mrs. Boggs died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2000, in Panhandle.

She was born Jan. 14, 1910, in Colgate, Okla. She lived in Tulia prior to moving to Panhandle and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Tulia.

In 1933, she married Hayden Boggs in Colgate. He died in 1978.

Survivors include one son, Rick Boggs of Plainview; one daughter, Neysa Friemel of Groom; one sister, Frances Hodges of Redding, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Joyce Hancock, died in 1988.

The family suggests memorials to St. Ann´s Nursing Home, Panhandle, TX 79068 or to a favorite charity.
