Maude Cox
TULIA - Funeral services for Maude Crowder Cox, 93, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Central Church of Christ with Morris Webb and Tommy Stewart officiating.
Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery by Wallace Funeral home.
Mrs. Cox died at 8:31 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, 2000, in Memorial Hospital in Dumas.
She was born Sept. 10, 1906, in Wheeler. She grew up in Chillicothe and attended Abilene Christian College and West Texas State Teachers College. She taught school for one year at Union Hill. She lived in Swisher County most of her life and moved to Dumas in October of 1991.
She was a member of Central Church of Christ and was a Bible class teacher for many years.
On Dec. 24, 1927, she married
J.W. “Bill” Cox in Tolbert. He died in September of 1994.
Survivors include one son, James Cox of Dumas; one daughter, Jane Bates of Arlington; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Wallace Funeral Home from 10 a.m.-noon Saturday.

Fannie Lokey
LUBBOCK - Funeral services for Fannie Mae Lokey, 85, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Central Baptist Church with the Rev. Howard McCann, the Rev. Dean Harris and Eddie Emerson officiating.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park by Rix Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Lokey died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2000, in Covenant Medical Center-Lakeside.
She was born Feb. 17, 1914, in Center Point, Ark. She moved with her family to Gasoline, Texas in 1917. She had lived in the Lubbock area for more than 65 years.
On March 14, 1936, she married
E.E. Lokey. She and her husband founded United Coupon Clearing House in 1964 in Lubbock. He died July 22, 1982.
Survivors include three sons, Bruce and Bob Lokey, both of Lubbock, and Charles Lokey of Austin; three daughters, Patsy Lokey and Joyce Witt, both of Lubbock, and Mary Hill of Dexter, N.M.; three sisters, Inetha Blankenship of Quitaque, Snow Grundy of Tulia and Christine Vardell of Lockney; a brother, Jack Chandler of Quitaque; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Lubbock Meals on Wheels, 2304 34th St., Lubbock, TX 79411; the Joe Arrington Cancer Center, 4101 22nd Place, Lubbock, TX 79401; or the Fannie Mae Lokey Lady Raider Scholarship Fund, Texas Tech University, 79409.

Bill Glasscock
LOCKNEY - Funeral services for Billy Ray Glasscock, 67, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Cecil Golden, interim pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Plainview by Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home.
Mr. Glasscock died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2000, in Mangold Memorial Hospital.
He was born March 10, 1932, in Lavon, the son of the late Thomas Alvin and Grace Naomie Wingo Glasscock. He moved from Copeville to Slaton in 1934 and attended schools in Slaton. He moved to Anton in 1945 and graduated from Anton High School in 1950. He served with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. In 1968, he moved to Lockney and farmed.
He retired from farming in 1990 and was an insurance salesman for Mission Life and a volunteer worker with Hospice.
He had been a member of Mangold Memorial Hospital Board since 1997, a member of the High Plains Underground Water Conservation District #1 Board from 1986-1990, and was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Lockney Masonic Lodge and First Baptist Church.
On Sept. 17, 1951, he married
Nell Reep in Plainview.
Survivors include his wife; a son and daughter-in-law, Lanny and Holly Glasscock of Ada, Okla.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Linda and Allen Carpenter of San Angelo and Jan Weir of Richardson; a brother, Thomas Doyle Glasscock of Odessa; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the Longhorn Booster Club, c/o Lockney High School, 410 S.W. Fourth, Lockney, TX 79241, or to a favorite charity.

Lorene O. Gunter

Mrs. Gunter died Monday, Jan. 10, 2000.
She was born in Shamrock and had been a longtime resident of Amarillo. She had worked as a switchboard operator for the Veterans Affairs Health Care System in Amarillo and transferred to Oklahoma City to work in government communications. She returned to Amarillo in 1981.
She was a member of Coulter Road Baptist Church.
Survivors include a sister, Callie Combest of Amarillo; a brother, Uil Gunter of Olton; and a special friend, May Tippin of Amarillo.
