Alice Lee Elkins
TULIA - Funeral services for Alice Lee Elkins, 93, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Wallace Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Davenport, pastor of First Baptist Church, and the Rev. James Willborn, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery by Wallace Funeral Home.
Mrs. Elkins died at 2:50 a.m. Monday, Jan. 3, 2000, in Swisher Memorial Hospital.
She was born Feb. 17, 1906, in Wright. She graduated from Kress High School and moved to Tulia in 1927. She was involved with 4-H children.
In 1927 she married
Emory E. Elkins in Plainview. He died Nov. 20, 1991.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Oleta and Ashel “Dink” Richardson of Marble Falls and Doris and Harry Dixon of Lubbock; one son, Len Elkins of Tulia; one sister, Elizabeth Durham of Lubbock; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Clarence Grant
LUBBOCK - Funeral services for Clarence Grant, 79, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church in Olton with the Rev. Kyle Streun, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in the Olton cemetery by Foskey-Lilley-McGill.
Mr. Grant died at 8:10 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, 2000, at his residence.
He was born July 12, 1920, in Quitaque. He moved to Lubbock from Olton in 1957 and was involved in investments.
He was a Baptist and a member of the Masonic Lodge and Lions Club.
On Nov. 14, 1939, he married
Vera Stone in Clarendon. She died in 1994.
Survivors include one son, Danny Grant of Grosse Pointe, Mich.; two daughters, Karen Grant of Arlington and Dawn Pfahning of Mansfield; one sister, Jimmie Haukos of Lubbock; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A son, Larry Grant, died in 1978.

Raymond Martin
LOCKNEY - Funeral services for Raymond Daniel-Wade Martin, 83, will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in West College and Third Street Church of Christ with J.W. Hamby, an elder at Garland Street Church of Christ in Plainview, officiating.
Burial will be in the Flomot cemetery by Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home.
Mr. Martin died Monday, Jan. 3, 2000, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 8, 1916, in White Flat, the son of the late Robert Andrew and Myrtle Mae Weidman Martin. He attended schools in Flomot.
He farmed in the Prairie Chapel Community and operated Germania Farm Mutual Insurance Company in Lockney until retiring.
He was a member of West College and Third Street Church of Christ.
On Dec. 27, 1933, he married
Mildred Graves in Silverton. She died Aug. 25, 1991.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Kay and Leo Phillips and Patsy and Mike Patrick, all of Plainview; two sisters, Edith Washington of Flomot and Gertrude Light of Amarillo; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
A son, Rayford Martin, died in March of 1973.
The family suggests memorials to Hospice Hands of West Texas, P.O. Box 1118, Lockney, TX 79241, or to a favorite charity.

Jesse Rivas III
Graveside services for Jesse Thomas Jeremy Rivas Jr. III, one-day-old son of Melissa Jiminez and Jesse Rivas Jr., will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Plainview Memorial Park Babyland with the Rev. Gerard Kenney, pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, officiating.

The infant was born Jan. 2, 2000. He died Jan. 3, 2000, in UMC in Lubbock.
Survivors include his parents; his grandparents, Gloria and Jesse Rivas Sr. and Amelio and Carmen Jiminez; and great-grandparents, Thomas Jiminez, Dalia Oliveria, Alida Estrada and Eluio Estrada and Chon and Juana Ybarra, all of Plainview.
Pallbearers will be Cruz Vasquez and Felix Sifuentes.

Elvira Weaks

Mrs. Weaks died Monday, Jan. 3, 2000 in Covenant Hospital Plainview.
She was born Feb. 25, 1926, in Wayside, the daughter of the late J.H. “Buck” and Mable Wesley. She graduated from Silverton High School as salutatorian in 1945. She was a member of Silverton Church of Christ.
On Feb. 26, 1946, she married
Oscar Weaks in Tulia. He died in 1983.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Weaks of Silverton and Victor Weaks of Lubbock; a sister, Mildred Mouser of Plainview; two brothers, Crawford Wesley of Tulia and Eddie Wesley of San Angelo; and six grandchildren, Rob Weaks and Lindsey Weaks, both of Silverton, Leslee Weaks of Tulia, and Jeff Weaks, Misti Weaks and Dusti Weaks, all of Lubbock.

Nickie Allen Garcia
HART - Funeral services for Nickie Allen Garcia, 22, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Sandero De La Cruz Pentecostal Church with Roger Velasquez officiating.
Burial will be in Hart cemetery by Foskey-Lilley-McGill Funeral Home of Dimmitt.
Mr. Garcia died at 1 a.m. Thursday, May 11, 2000, from injuries suffered in a traffic accident in Lubbock.
He was born Feb. 12, 1978, in Goodland, Kan. He grew up in Hart and graduated from Hart High School in 1997.
Survivors include his mother, Lydia Garcia of Hart; two sisters, Mary Lou Garcia of Hart and Melissa Garcia of Plainview; his godmother, Yolanda Medrano of Hart; his grandparents, Mel and Dominga Gonzales of Hart; and four nephews.
The body will be at the church until service time.
