Augustin ´Joe´ Moreno

Funeral services for Augustin “Joe” Moreno, 75, will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Bartley-Silva Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Gerard Kenney, pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Plainview cemetery by Bartley-Silva Funeral Home.

Mr. Moreno died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2000, in Covenant Hospital.

He was born May 28, 1924, in Brady. He was a veteran of World War II and received several medals including the Bronze Medal.

He worked for Excel Beefpackers on the kill floor for 20 years and for Texas Tech University as a maintenance man and custodian for 15 years.

On April 23, 1996, he married Faye Chaney in Clovis, N.M.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Anna Pacheco of Billings, Mont., and Noria Rodriquez of Shallowater; four sons, Augustine Moreno of Minnesota, Vicente Moreno II and Manuel Moreno, both of Plainview, and Robert Moreno of Lubbock; two sisters, Ruby Alcala and Mary Cruz; a brother, Leon Moreno; and 20 grandchildren.

A brother, Octaviano Moreno died in 1938 and a sister, Juanita M. Martinez, died in 1970.

The family will receive friends at 7 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel.

Eleazar Saldana

Funeral services for Eleazar Saldana, 48, will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Church of the Valley in Hale Center with the Rev. Eleseo Saldana, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Plainview cemetery by Bartley-Silva Funeral Home.

Mr. Saldana died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2000, in University Medical Center in Lubbock.

He was born June 6, 1951, in Edinburg. He was a truck driver for Bobby Bouldin.

On March 6, 1972, he married Yolanda Estrada in Plainview.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Michael Saldana of Plainview; two daughters, Angie Garza of Plainview and Julie Zanbrano of Lubbock; three brothers, Rene Saldana of Lubbock, Joe Saldana of Hale Center and “Willie” Guillermo Saldana of Plainview; three sisters, Sylvia Jimenez of Lubbock, Mary Ann Dominguez of Plainview and Diana Saldana of Hale Center; his mother and father, Eleseo and Alejandra Saldana of Hale Center; and three grandchildren, Breana Skye Saldana, Jacob Mathew Garza and Zachery Vinson.

Della Thompson

LUBBOCK - Funeral services for Della Ruth Thompson, 71, will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Franklin-Bartley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jack Tutor officiating.

Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park by Franklin-Bartley Funeral Home.

Mrs. Thompson died Monday, Jan. 17, 2000, in Covenant Medical Center Lakeside.

She was born July 30, 1928, in Lubbock. She was an assistant manager at Cloth World for 20 years, retiring in 1992. She also worked as a seamstress. She was a member of Shadow Hills Baptist Church.

On May 8, 1944, she married J.C. “Clay” Thompson in Lubbock. He died May 22, 1971.

Survivors include three daughters, Johnnie Unger and Della Newburn, both of Lubbock and Sue Thompson Morris of Advance, N.C.; two sisters, Vera Fair and Loritta Hill, both of Lubbock; a brother, Glynn Haddock of Tulia; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Jordan LeKay Coleman

Funeral services for Jordan LeKay Coleman, 24 months, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Grace United Methodist Church with the Rev. Horace Abbott, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Lemons Funeral Home.

The child died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004, in Plainview.

She was born Feb. 10, 2002, in Sherman.

Survivors include her parents, Robert and Tracy Coleman of Plainview; three brothers, Randy Scott Coleman and Cody Coleman, both of Plainview, and Kenneth Connor of New Deal; four sisters, Sandrianna Lasserre, Samantha Rios and Dawnelle Rios, all of Plainview, and Ashley Coleman of Sherman; her grandparents, Bob and Willa Coleman of Plainview and John and Margaret Lasserre of Kress; and her great-grandparents, John and Dora Lasserre of New York City, N.Y.

The family suggests memorials to Hydrocephalus Foundation.

Eglah `Bea´ Greer

KRESS ­ Graveside services for Eglah “Bea” Greer, 93, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Kress cemetery with the Rev. Henry Russell of Floydada officiating.

Arrangements are by Wallace Funeral Home of Tulia.

Mrs. Greer died Sunday morning, Feb. 8, 2004, in Runningwater Draw Care Center in Olton.

She grew up in Oklahoma where she won the state spelling bee as a child. She had lived in McClain, Okla., until moving to Kress in 1951.

She was a homemaker and a Christian. She had lived at Runningwater Draw Care Center for the last few years.

On May 9, 1932, she married Zollie Bigham Greer in Tipton, Okla. He is deceased.

Survivors include a daughter, Betty Joyce Cooper of Silverton; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Johnny Rex and Donna Greer Sr. of Albuquerque, N.M., and Robert Ricky Greer Sr. of Woodlawn; a brother and sister-in-law, Johnny Franklin and Arlene Shuping Sr., of Floydada; and several nieces and nephews, including JoAnn Street of Kress.

Seven brothers and two sisters are deceased.

The family suggests memorials to Kress cemetery Association.

Eunice Reinhardt

TULIA ­ Funeral services for Eunice Reinhardt, 88, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Scott Hensley, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Plainview by Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview.

Mrs. Reinhardt died at 10:15 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004, in Swisher Memorial Hospital.

She was born Nov. 6, 1915, in Springfield, Mo. She grew up in Oklahoma and moved to Kress in 1952 and to Tulia in 1970.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

On Nov. 8, 1933, she married Henry Reinhardt in Oklahoma. He died July 17, 1970.

Survivors include two daughters, Thelma Damron and Kay Simpson, both of Tulia; three sons, Charles Reinhardt of Montgomery, Gerald Reinhardt of Kress and Ronald Reinhardt of Humble; a brother, Howard Conaway of Bristow, Okla.; a sister, Helen Standfer of Kellyville, Okla.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Two brothers and one sister are deceased.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. today at Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview. Memorials are suggested to VistaCare Hospice, 4418 Olton Road, Plainview, TX 79072 or Calvary Baptist Church, 701 N. El Paso, Tulia, TX 79088.
