Survivors include his wife; five daughters, Antonia Suniga, Sylvia Grimaldo, Sonia Barrientos and Florestella Cantu, all of Hale Center, and Carolina Morales of Arcadia, Fla.; two brothers, Ignacio Cantu of Tyler and Chrispin Cantu Jr. of Hale Center; four sisters, Leonor Rascon of Tulia, Lucy Cortez of Lubbock and Ellena Ramos and Molly Perez, both of Plainview; and 18 grandchildren.

Gilbert Englehart
Private family services for Gilbert “Gene” Englehart, 75, were held today.
Mr. Englehart died at 6:39 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 19, 2004, in Prairie House Living Center. His body was donated to the Texas Tech Health Science Center to further the study of disease prevention.
Arrangements were by Lemons Funeral Home.
He was born Aug. 11, 1929, in Columbus, Ohio. He moved to Plainview in 1986 and had worked for Don Johnston Motors and later for Just Smokes.
Survivors, all of Columbus, Ohio, include his wife, Kathy; a daughter, Regina Lynn Edwards; a sister and brother-in-law, Juanita and Roger Chambers; a sister-in-law and her husband, Myrtle and Jim Potts; and all his special friends, VistaCare and the American Cancer Society.

Clifton L. Stodghill
SILVERTON -- Funeral services for Clifton Lowell Stodghill, 73, were at 2:30 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church.
Burial was in Silverton cemetery by Myers-Long Funeral Directors.
Mr. Stodghill died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2004.
He was born Nov. 3, 1930, in Silverton, the son of Roy Hugh and Mary Dosia Hardin Stodghill. He graduated from Silverton High School in 1948 and served with the U.S. Army in 1954.
He was a farmer and rancher. He was a past president of Silverton cemetery Association. For many years he had had played guitar and harmonica at rest homes and community gatherings. He also served as master of ceremonies at the Silverton and Turkey music jamborees.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Living Water Emmaus Community and HOOT Harmonica Organization.
On July 8, 1950, he married
Joy Riethmayer.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mary Garner of Amarillo and Donna Majors and Carol Easterling, both of Lubbock; two brothers, W.E. Stodghill of Amarillo and Joe Ray Stodghill of Perryton; and two grandsons.
His parents; a brother, R.H. Stodghill Jr.; and two sisters, Mozelle Purcell and Oneta Sanders, are deceased.
The family suggests memorials to First United Methodist Church, Silverton cemetery Association or to a favorite charity.

Survivors include four daughters, Rosalinda Zivec of Alamo, Alicia Saucedo and Paula Saucedo, both of Plainview, and Lupita Lopez of Fort Worth; three sons, Jose Gilbert Negrete and Raymond Negrete, both of Plainview, and Arnold Negrete of Tulsa, Okla.; two brothers, Raul Guzman and Santiago Guzman, both of Brownsville; three sisters, Elva Alaniz and Sulema Magia, both of Brownsville, and Eugenia Trevino of Fort Worth; 22 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Her husband; two daughters, Maria Elvia Millican and Ofelia Molina; one son, Frankie Negrete; and one brother, Ramon Guzman, are deceased.
