Annie Joyce Cork
Funeral services for Annie Joyce Cork, 69, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Lemons Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Joseph Johnson, pastor of Faith Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home.
Mrs. Cork died at 10:36 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2004, in Covenant Hospital.
She was born Jan. 23, 1935, in Morton. On April 15, 1952, she married
Lonnie Cork in Tucumcari, N.M. He died Jan 7, 2004.
Survivors include two sons, Mike Cork of Elgin and Justin Cork of Plainview; five daughters, Sherry Bryant of Tulare, Calif., Marlene Cork, Carol Cork, Gayle Walker and Linda Torres, all of Plainview; two brothers, Earl Crowley of Borger and Wesley Crowley of Paris, Ark.; one sister, Frances Fowler of Blythe, Calif.; 19 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Two sisters, Billy Joe Cork and Anice Fowler, are deceased.

Dorothy Jean Howell
WYLIE -- No services will be held for Dorothy Jean Howell, 76, former Plainview resident
Arrangements are by Charles W. Smith Funeral Home.
Mrs. Howell died Sept. 8, 2004, in Wylie. She had been a resident of Hillcrest Nursing Home and died of Parkinson´s disease.
She was born in 1927 in Snyder, to Benjamin “Ben” F. and Dorothy B. Welling Wilson. She graduated from Snyder High School in 1945 and attended Incarnate Word College in San Antonio.
She married
Ollis Hulon Stanfield and moved to Midland in 1957. The couple later divorced.
She moved to Plainview in 1965 and worked as a land title clerk. She retired in Lubbock and later moved to Wylie in 1996.
She was an avid gardener, baker and longtime participant in Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and was active in the Dallas Area Parkinson Society.
Survivors include a daughter, Karen Jeanine Stanfield of Wylie; a son, Russell Lynn Stanfield of Baltimore, Md., and four grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the Dallas Area Parkinson Society, 3003 LBJ Freeway, Suite 125E, Dallas, TX 75234.

Leon Koelder
HALE CENTER -- Funeral services for Leon Koelder, 80, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Cotton Center First Baptist Church with the Rev. J.D. Templeton, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in the Center Plains cemetery by Freeman-Abell Funeral Home.
Mr. Koelder died Tuesday, September 7, 2004, in Plainview.
He was born Oct. 14, 1923, at Hale Center, the son of Kino and Eva Sherman Koelder. He was raised in Cotton Center, and lived in Clovis, N.M., a few years before returning to Cotton Center in 1991.
He was a member of the Cotton Center First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, David and Hazel Koelder of Houston; a daughter, Glenna Clark and her partner Jeff Bechdol of Gallup, N.M.; a brother and sister-in-law, Ervin and Tillie Koelder of Plainview; a sister-in-law, Patsy Koelder of Groom; a grandson and his wife, Tad and Brandi Clark of Cotton Center, four stepgrandchildren, Kristie, Shawni, T.J. and Casey Bechdol of Gallup, N.M.; two great-grandchildren, Cody and Savannah Clark of Cotton Center; and one stepgreat-grandchild, Aubrey Bechdol of Gallup.
Viewing will be held Saturday from 1 p.m. until service time at the First Baptist Church in Cotton Center.
The family suggests memorials be sent to a favorite charity.

Joyce Burnam
TULIA -- Joyce Burnam, 67, of Tulia, Texas, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 23, 2004, at Seton Medical Center in Austin, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 27, 2004, in the First Baptist Church in Tulia with the Rev. Charles Davenport, pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in Rose Hill cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Burnam was born in Tulare, Calif., on Oct. 4, 1936. She grew up in Plainview and attended schools there. She graduated from Plainview High School in 1957. She then attended Jessie Lee´s Beauty School in Lubbock. She worked for John Page´s grocery store for many years.
She married
Hoyet Burnam, Jr. on Nov. 22, 1969, in Plainview. She was a homemaker. She later worked as a greeter at Wal-Mart in Plainview for eight years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tulia and member of the Faith Sunday School class. She enjoyed doing genealogy and she just loved people.
Survivors include her husband, Hoyet Burnam of Tulia; a son, Gregory Burnam of Austin, Texas; a brother and sister-in-law, Merv and Judy Evans of Plainview; a nephew, Kirk Evans of Lubbock; a niece, Cheryl Lee of Lubbock; and great-nieces and nephews, Courtney and Zach Evans and Trevor and Parker Lee.
The family suggests memorials to Breast Cancer Research.
The family will receive friends and family at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Sunday.
