Funeral services for “Picture Man” Frank Huey Sr., 70, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Garland Street Church of Christ with Russell Harris, minister, officiating.
Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Bartley Funeral Home.
Mr. Huey died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2004, at Covenant Hospital Plainview.
He was born March 18, 1934, in Greenville and married
Leotha M. Davis on Dec. 13, 1954, in Brownfield.
He lived in Ropesville and farmed in that area for a number of years before moving to Plainview in 1964. He worked for Occidental Chemical Co., in Plainview for 19 years and was a foreman.
Mr. Huey was a member of Garland Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife; five daughters, Arma Jene Amerina of Fort Worth, Wanda Faye Huey and Edna Mae Hill, both of Plainview, Linda Lue Huey of Tulsa, Okla., and Mary Ann O´Shields of New Braunfels; one son, Frank Huey Jr. of Plainview; three brothers, J.S. Huey and Billy Ray Huey, both of Ropesville, and Joe Lewis Huey of Tulsa, Okla.; two sisters, Annie Lee Hill and Lillie Mae Thomas, both of Plainview; two sons-in-law, Don Hill of Plainview and Ray Reed of Tulsa, Okla.; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
A son, Charles Earl Huey; a daughter, Gelinda Sue Huey; and two brothers, Ed Huey and C.H. Huey, are deceased.
The family suggests memorials to Garland Street Church of Christ in Plainview.
Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Bartley Funeral Home.
Eddie´ Rodriguez Jr.
Funeral services for Eduardo Angel “Eddie” Rodriguez Jr., 29, of Lubbock, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Reynaldo Reyes, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home.
Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. today at Wood-Dunning Colonial Chapel.
Mr. Rodriguez died Monday, Oct. 4, 2004, in Lubbock.
He was born on Sept. 22, 1975, in Lockney. He grew up in Floydada where he attended schools. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1994. He attended West Texas A&M; and worked at Amarillo Affiliated before moving to Lubbock in 2001 where he worked for TYCO.
Survivors include his partner and special friend, Tara Turner of Lubbock; one daughter, Haley Luz Maria Rodriguez of Shallowater; his father and stepmother, Eduardo Rodriguez Sr. and Isabel Alvarez of Plainview; one stepbrother, Mark Alvarez of Plainview; one sister, Andrea Rodriguez of Plainview; one stepsister, Amy Alvarez of San Marcos; and his grandmother, Amelia Rodriguez of Alice.
His mother, Luz Maria Rodriguez, and a sister, Maria Luz Rodriguez, are deceased.
Chester Boyd Gilmore
Funeral services for Chester Boyd Gilmore, 60, of Petersburg, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at White Memorial Chapel in Lubbock.

Maria Cantu
Funeral Mass for Maria Cantu, 93, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Reynaldo Reyes, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Plainview cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home.
Mrs. Cantu died at 10:55 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 10, 2004, in Covenant Hospital.
She was born Aug. 19, 1911, in Mexico.
Survivors include two daughters, Rita Lopez of Lake Whales, Fla., and Margarita Cardenas of Plainview; 32 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; and 30 great-great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Estanisio Jimenez Cantu; a daughter, Elisa Cantu; and three sons, Victorio Cantu, Manuel Cantu and Isabel Cantu, are deceased.
Dorothy Marie Milstead
Funeral services for Dorothy Marie Milstead, 76, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Seth Ward Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Ritter, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Kornerstone Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Milstead died at 12:40 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10, 2004, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 21, 1928, in Lawton, Okla. She moved to Plainview with her parents and taught at High Plains Training Center and the 2- and 3-year-old children´s Sunday dchool for many years. She was secretary-treasurer of Milstead Hardware until retiring in 1999.
She was a member of Seth Ward Baptist Church.
On Aug. 23, 1945, she married
Eldon A. Milstead in Edmonson. He died March 16, 1997.
Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Diane McAninch of Conroe, Cathy and Johnny Chandler of Amarillo and Virginia and Jack Young of Willow Park; two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Joni Milstead of Branson, Mo., and David and Annette Milstead of Plainview; one sister, Jolene Givens of Olton; a sister-in-law, Clara Lou Jones of Muleshoe; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and special friends, Barbara Holtzinger of Wichita, Kan., and Dorothy Farmer of Hale Center.
The family will receive family and friends at Seth Ward Baptist Church today from 6-8 p.m.

Faye Poovey
FAIRFIELD -- Funeral services for Faye Poovey, 83, former Mayfield resident, were at 4 p.m. Sunday in Capps Memorial Chapel.
Burial was in Plainview cemetery today by Capps Memorial Chapel.
Mrs. Poovey died Friday, Oct. 8, 2004, in Tyler.
She was born Jan. 24, 1921, in Munday. She was a homemaker and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Fairfield.
Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Theda and Orphus Tate of Fairfield, Sylvia Bockelman of Los Angeles, Calif., and Linda and Gary Moore of Vega; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Her parents, Herbert and Effie May Wright; brothers Eugene Wright and Terry Wright; sister Joy Davis; her husband, Alexander Poovey; and grandsons Ricky Lee and Kevin Tate, are deceased.
Mary T. Cua Hoffman

Juanita Taegel
Juanita Taegel, 91 years a resident of Plainview and 93 years old, walked through the portal of death to the next leg of the Great Journey on Sept. 14, 2004. Her father and mother, Lee and Bobbie Stephens, were early settlers in the area, and Juanita´s love of and loyalty to Planview and its bountiful land spiced life wherever she went. She was preceded in death by her husband, W.R. Taegel, and her daughter, Jeanine Boyd.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda McCulloch and her husband Jim McCulloch, her son William Taegel and his wife Judith Yost, her niece, Nanette Fry, her nephew, Ned Nixon, seven grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church in Plainview on Wednesday, Sept. 22, at 11 a.m.
