Mamie Flowers Day
LIVINGSTON -- Funeral services for Mamie Flowers Day, 89, will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. James Frazier officiating.
Burial will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Fairview cemetery in Clarksville by Cochran Funeral Home.
Mrs. Day died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2005, in Timberwood Nursing Home in Livingston.
She was born Oct. 16, 1915, in Chico, the daughter of Henry and Alma Gore Flowers. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Sherry Peterson Foster and Lynn E. Foster of Livingston; a sister, Hazel Flowers of Plainview; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Her parents; her husband, Henry Milton Flowers; a son, John S. Day; and three sisters, Lucille Flowers, Ruby Lena DeMent and Ione Crossland, are deceased.

Ralph D. Madera
Funeral services for Ralph D. Madera, 83, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Wood-Dunning Colonial Chapel with Dr. Travis Hart, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Hale Center cemetery by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home.
Mr. Madera died Monday, Feb. 28, 2005, in Covenant Hospital.
He was born on Jan. 24, 1922, in Hubbard, the son of Elma and Lillie Perry Madera. He graduated from Cotton Center High School in 1939.
He served with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and in Korea as an aerial engineer. He was awarded the Purple Heart, the Air Medal, the Distinguished Flying Cross and eight Bronze Stars.
He worked as a car and truck mechanic and as a mechanic on the Alaskan Pipeline. He was a past commander of the American Legion Post in Durango, Colo.
His first wife, Willie Marie Madera, whom he married
on Aug. 24, 1945, died May 4, 1991. He married
Nadine Neagle on Sept. 7, 1999.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Linda Seitz of Sacramento, Calif., and Connie Folsom of Flagstaff, Ariz.; a son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Janet Madera of Waco; a sister, Rheba Burgess of Lubbock; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and eight stepchildren.
His parents; a brother, Lehmer Madera; three sisters, LaVerne Thornton, Margaret Bourland and Mary Simmons; and a son-in-law, George Seitz, also are deceased.
The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association.

Leta McAnally
Memorial services for Leta McAnally, 74, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Plainview Family Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Doug Yates, pastor, officiating.
Arrangements are by Kornerstone Funeral Directors.
Mrs. McAnally died at 6 a.m. Monday, Feb. 28, 2005, at her residence.
She was born Jan. 22, 1931, in Ardmore, Okla. She grew up in Plainview and graduated from Plainview High School in 1948.
She had worked at Furrīs Supermarket for several years and for Dr. D.O. Hollingsworth as a dental assistant, retiring in 1993.
On Jan. 22, 1949, she married
Jack McAnally in Kress.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Billy Massey of Brownwood; a son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Suzie McAnally of Lubbock; three sisters, Trulene Reed, Tommie Shannon and Jackie Harrell, all of Plainview; one brother, Glen Noland of Keller; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Raymond Prather
MERKEL -- Graveside services for Raymond Prather, 91, were at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Snyder cemetery in Snyder with the Rev. Jim Ritter, pastor of Seth Ward Baptist Church in Plainview, officiating.
Burial arrangements were by Starbuck Funeral Home in Merkel.
Mr. Prather died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2005, in a Merkel hospital.
He was born May 25, 1913, in Emory, the son of Isaac Martin and Mary Alvertis Fuston Prather. He graduated from Ennis Creek High School and worked as an insurance salesman and real estate agent for several years. He was co-manager of the Starlight Motel in Plainview for eight years and moved from Plainview to Merkel in October 2003.
He was a member of Seth Ward Baptist Church.
On Dec. 16, 1933, he married
Tommie Pruitt at Ennis Creek in Scurry County.
Survivors include his wife; a son and daughter-in-law, Kelton and Pat Prather of Mabank; a brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Norma Prather of Odessa; three sisters, Callie Floyd of Sweetwater, Leona Davis of Las Cruces, N.M., and Rosa Edwards of Waco; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
His parents; a son, Galen Prather; two brothers, Francis and Pierson Prather; and a sister, Bertha Davis, are deceased.

Eleanor Schacht
LOCKNEY -- Eleanor Schacht, 93, died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2005, at her residence in Lockney.
She was born Nov. 26, 1911, in Harvey County, Kan., to the late Richard and Lula Grace Morris. She graduated from high school in Plains, Kan., in 1929 and was the salutatorian. She married
Fritz Otto Schacht on Nov. 26, 1929, in Plains, Kan., and moved to Lockney. He preceded in her in death in November 1975. She was a florist, a Sunday school teacher for more than 50 years, sang in the choir and was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church in Lockney.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Morris Don Schacht, in 1969; one brother; and five sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Clar Schacht and wife Judy of Floydada and Otto Schacht and wife Madonna of Plainview; two daughters, Margaret Schacht of Lockney and Sarah Cameron and husband David of Midland; 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, Marcus and Jennifer Schacht and Derrick, Richard and Kim Schacht and Morgan, J.D. Schacht, Fritz Schacht, Jered and Kathy Cameron and Cora, Leah and Weldon Bailey, Meredith and Craig Campbell, Spencer Schacht, David and Jodie Brittain, Robert and Ryan, Josh Bricker and Rocky Santoni.
The family greeted friends at the funeral home today, Tuesday, March 1, 2005, from 10-11 a.m.
Graveside services were at noon today, Tuesday, March 1, 2005, at the Lockney cemetery in Lockney. Memorial services were at 1 p.m. today, Tuesday, March 1, 2005, at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Neely Landrum, pastor, and Brother Kyle Brock officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home of Lockney.

Rev. L.E. White Jr.
MINERAL WELLS -- Funeral services for the Rev. L.E. White Jr., 92, a retired Baptist minister, were at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Immanuel Baptist Church.
Burial was in Woodland Park cemetery by Whiteīs Funeral Home.
The Rev. White died Feb. 24, 2005, in a Mineral Wells nursing home.
He was born Aug. 8, 1912, in Cottle County, the son of Lewis Edward and Martha Jane Hunter White. He was a 1949 graduate of Wayland Baptist College.
He had pastored several churches in Texas and Oklahoma, including Emmanual Baptist Church in Plainview from 1953-59.
He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church for more than 30 years where he was first senior adult pastor, starting OASIS.
He married
Zelma Biles in 1939.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters and a son-in-law, Jane Alexander of Mineral Wells and Karen and Odis Donoho of Cisco; a sister, Berniece Sturdivant of Aumsville, Ore; four grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association or to the Samaritanīs Purse.
